"He-Man and Masters of the Universe" Film by Sony
Big s replied to Mazinger's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I guess it’s another He Man in our world. I guess they didn’t learn their lesson -
Maybe by underdeveloped countries, but I can’t think of a first world example

Even a senate in peacetime is guarded. And it really didn’t seem like peacetime with all the rebel threats going around.
-
And that would be the perfect reason to upgrade security. If they don’t have security at each entrance, then that’s just poor writing all around.
-
Yeah, but that’s usually been with no previous warnings or under riot situations
-
That’s some cool old school lighting for some cool old school kits
-
Oh, I didn’t know Peacemaker was part of the snyderverse since he basically quit after justice league and the Suicide Squad was handled by Gunn, which explained to me why it was the first of the modern DC movies that felt worth watching more than once.

I preordered the Daryl and Negan that were supposed to be released last year for a Christmas present for my lady since she loves the show. They seem to keep pushing that release date back every month, not sure when Michonne will ever come out

Which theory?

Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
Big s replied to jvmacross's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That’s always an odd one. Pretty much no elves, and only a lesser big bad and dwindling orcs at that point, but it could be done as a smaller story -
It wouldn’t be that hard. It’s a senate building and would already have had plenty of security and it wasn’t a riot situation, so a lockdown would have been very easy. It took them forever getting from that first door to the car, they should have been ready after reporting a security personnel murder
-
I don’t think that really matters, they easily could’ve locked down better and posted soldiers or more security around cars, especially a car belonging to the person they were specifically targeting

I don’t know about Japanese sites, but it’s still available for the markup at bbts

Took a bit to get around to finishing. Unfortunately I only was able to watch one episode on Tuesday and they have been doing work on the lines around here, so the WiFi has been down mostly the last couple days. the first one out of this bunch was another set up kinda thing that this season seems to have a lot of. I really don’t like the batch set up they have, because it always hints at something interesting that must’ve happened that you didn’t get to see, but everyone talks about it as though things that happened were really interesting and probably more interesting than the start over episodes. the second episode of this batch was far better and definitely the best episode of the season. It’s a little clunky here and there, but overall pretty good. Sets up a lot of tension and Third episode of the bunch was kind of a mixed bag. It started out with a lot of tension, but ended kinda soft Overall not a bad batch, but that second episode really worked the best out of them. Hopefully the final batch is good and doesn’t rely on the set up starter again. I think we’ve had enough of those and can finally get to the end without all that and hopefully no more teasing things that happened off screen

Macross Fan Club - Costa Mesa, CA 1985
Big s replied to nightmareB4macross's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
I didn’t even know there was a Macross fan club back then, let alone one here in the States that would put up posters of the movie -
You may have to see if things just have a simple stitch and try and break that to get to the damaged part, it could be possible that it just slipped out of joint, and may be an easy pop in place. Then redo the stitch. Hopefully things aren’t just glued

That really sucks. I’m assuming there’s also no way to slide the pants down either.

Looks even better -
I honestly enjoy the cartoon version a lot more than the movies overall.

It can be a challenge, but I’ve seen your recent stuff and I think you can handle it

It’s actually kind of a relief in a lot of ways. You don’t get frustrated when some great story gets ruined. I think I’d be even happier if I had never read anything by Tolkien when I was a kid. Maybe I wouldn’t be as frustrated with rings of power. Or maybe the Hobbit movies wouldn’t seem so tedious

That movie keeps getting pushed back for one reason or another. Hopefully they can do a great sequel film

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
Big s replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
I’ve always liked these designs, they sorta had that familiar look to them with some interesting updates to make them still appear in world -
That’s the Imai one. If you look close at the lower right corner, you can see their logo. Bandai bought their molds and it the same kit. So if you see a bandai one, it’s just a more recent production run of that kit. That goes for a good amount of Imai kits. Bandai often rereleases their old models under their name for anniversary specials. Anyway, get ready to really put in some work on those seams and stock up on that glue and putty. You may also want to practice scribing as well. I remember the panels on the face didn’t match too well and it will be easier to fill in one side and prescribe them. I think I had to use hot water to straighten out the arms to align them.
