To be honest, it’s nowhere near as bad as a lot of haters make it out to be, maybe give it a try since it’s a free watch if you already got the Max or HBO Max or whatever service. Just keep in mind that it’s a jumble and maybe even a train derailment rather than a total train wreck. Basically, just go in with extra low expectations and grab a drink and some popcorn, but it’s also not a movie that I’d say is necessary to watch either, so if you do stick to not watching, it’s not gonna be a loss either. Maybe try Hundreds of Beavers for a much more satisfying experience

I wasn’t too surprised after the thought of them milking the mold set in. They did pretty much every variant of the regult other than color changes and after thinking about the fact they pumped out four of those and a bunch of armored Valkyries I figured tv version of the Queadluun Rau was soon. As far as panel lines, if you’re gonna do that, I’d suggest doing it in test first. Maybe on some rounded plastic spoons and really get that practice in. A lot of surfaces here are gonna be rounded rather than flat, so a cheap spoon should be a good sacrifice for practice

Yeah, I think this made up my mind. I want the dress uniform rather than the pilot suit

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu - May 22, 2026

Sorry, I just feel like she ended up part of the problem, kinda like how Mando stole bobas thunder in his show. Bo just kept having to rescue mr shiny in season 3 making him a bit of a Disney princess most of the show- 105 replies

I keep hoping for a really great modern Superman movie, but I might not be alive to see it happen. All they really need to do is just give it some heart, not too much comedy and not making depressing. And it would unfortunately need a total reboot. I wouldn’t even mind a retro type of movie taking place back around when the comic originally started. Maybe they could do something like the Batman where it doesn’t connect to the main dc movie universe. It really doesn’t need much to be awesome

I can’t really say that Trent stole from him, his music was more influenced by industrial alternative music and his look may have all been something closer to Skinny Puppy or something, but not so much Rozz. But Manson might be closer there. Definitely different musically, but the looks and facial expressions might have more of a heavier influence, especially in Manson’s early days, sorta like Al from Minstry kinda having his look taken from Rob Zombie

I don’t think they’d do as much to ruin the story as Bo did in season 3.- 105 replies

If that’s the tall can, she’d definitely be too big, but she’s a real beauty.

I’d lake that as well. Just I’m on the fence between her pilot uniform or her cool zentraedi dress uniform with those awesome boots

Definitely a lot of people. I was kinda thinking it too when the Queadluun Rau kit for the movie was out and plamax had their Max 1A coming. I had a feeling that Hasegawa would do the tv version, especially since they had done three different colors of the movie one. Can’t wait to get the tv version and set up a display

Finally got to actually watch it since it went on max or whatever it’s called. Not really great and not really bad, definitely better than the Snyder movie, but not as good as Superman Returns. Oddly I think returns is not a great movie either, but is still the best of the new millennium of Superman movies. This particular movie has that feeling of a tv show that someone recommended to you after the first season ended and your trying to figure out all the stuff you missed before in the previous season. Nothing is really unexplained or difficult to figure out, just that it feels like you missed everything that really made it good and now you’re jumping into a rushed story for a show that just got canceled. Maybe skipping his overdone origin was a huge mistake. Definitely skipping lex’s origin was a massive mistake. We just end up with a guy that wants to kill Superman for something or something whatever. Nothing really feels important because all the really important stuff already happened and now we’re just in a resolution for an entire film. The jokes were a bit heavy, but I just feel like lack of plot was the biggest problem here. Lex also seemed to be very inefficient with his thinking. He has to have bot monkeys when he easily could’ve just set up simple chat gpt bots. And his employees didn’t seem like they were evil enough to sign on for this kind of project. Also everyone has to have their hatred of Superman explained and most just don’t even seem to even hate him. Like there really was no motivation here. I’ve also grown really tired of nanobot machines creating complex mechanics out of nothing. That’s something that had grown boring over a decade ago in movies. I don’t even know why she hated Superman and I don’t even remember her name because she was totally forgettable. Maybe one day a great Superman movie will come along, but I guess we’ll just have to wait for another reboot in a decade or so. So far the best one was the first one with Christopher Reeve.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu - May 22, 2026
Big s replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The target audience for the show itself was pretty young. Personally, I’m gonna wait on this. I didn’t care too much about the last season, hopefully Mando won’t be in constant need of rescue. I just figured that Disney can’t hire a writing team to do a full season of much these days and usually they’re just desperately trying to stretch out movie length plots to fit a season.- 105 replies

Hasegawa loves to milk a mold. The majority of the parts are the same, just a few new ones, mostly lower legs, lower arms, face, antennae and cowl. I personally was hoping they’d go the extra mile and do the more detailed version, but the more I thought about it, the more I expected the re use of molds.it’s definitely a great example of the lower picture as far as surface, but I still would’ve liked them to do the extra stuff, but to be fair, that wasn’t in the show or the og line art
-
Yeah, those look great. Looks like you don’t need to do much at all to give it the basic appearance from the show

The hmr is a bit shorter, about to the hip height of the Queadluun Rau from what I remember after test fitting
-
That’s definitely a tough comparison there. One was more Deathrock/ Punk goth and the other was more heavy Industrial pop

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Big s replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just go to movies and concerts astronaut style. You could set a new fashion trend and hit up some music festivals and make sure you always get to keep that next to the stage spot. Either that or go to the movies Demon Slayer style, but try not to get caught like that other guy. I honestly think he might not have been caught if he didn’t splash on other people at that showing -
To be honest, the movie kinda sticks more solidly to the line art sizing than the tv show actually did most of the time. Sure Mirya looks absolutely gigantic next to Max’s actual human body and I think the Zentran still look too big compared to miclones, but the mechs actually appear mostly consistent compared to human mecha in the rare cases where they are next to each other. Also when Kamjin hops out of his armor, he’s way shorter than Roy’s battroid. If Roy hadn’t died, the scene would’ve looked absolutely comedic as Roy fights off that armor and then this little dude just hops out and starts beating down Roy’s battroid. It’s definitely far more accurate than the smoking scene in the tv show or expecting a jacket to fit a battroid. It was sorta an odd scene that I had rewatched a bunch while checking out details for the movie Queadluun Rau back when it was first announced.
-
Yeah, Macross sizing and scale is all over the place. As far as the anime the zentraedi jackets fit a battroid no problem, but their power armors usually look much closer to the same height. But then the line art shows their pilots shorter than the destroids with the ladies being even shorter. But I do at least feel that the Queadluun Rau kit and a Plamax kit will look spot on for the anime scene where Max’s future wife busts into the city. The Queadluun Rau looked bigger, but not much taller than the battroid there.
-
Yeah, as far as the suit itself, the tv version will look great in a battle scene with Max’s 1A battroid

Looks really cool
