I do have to agree about the horror aspect, but this tech here looks like they over complicated things using outdated technology to accomplish making a jiggly mess. I think the better approach is to start simpler and perfect things that way before going this complex. I’ve seen some prosthetics that are the majority of an arm from being lost just above the elbow. And those were able to use simplified controls to accomplish bending of the elbow and even gripping of hands, and without the loud noise and stuttering joints

I don’t know why they’re doing Bodole Zer in armor, I remember him being extra tall and only shown in a robe in the show and as a bunch of slop with a funky head in the movie. Bretai is another odd choice. Quamzin or Kamjin or however you spell his name seems more like the obvious choice for the heavy armor.

I’ll be honest, I stopped reading books a while ago. I figure if it’s a good book, there will be a movie and I don’t want to be that guy that always says the book was better. Die Hard was a better movie than a book though and I’ll take that win, Even if it’s the only one

I don’t really know, I stopped reading marvel after all the talent quit in the early 90’s, it just seems to be what she’s always referred to as in toys and cartoons. I would think that if she went by a different name, her action figures would say that, but they’re either spider Gwen or Gwen Pool, which is equally as stupid- 1484 replies

Still keeping up with the show and really liking where it’s going. Definitely better than the new Batman and Spider-Man cartoons. So I guess it’s probably the best superhero cartoon currently. Gonna keep watching every week, but I wish they’d just put every episode out at one time

Finally got around to the last batch of episodes. Was a bit worried since the rest of the season was kind of a mess and it felt like it really wasn’t about Cobra Kai anymore. I’m really glad by the change and refocusing to the main idea of the show. It didn’t feel jumbled or over the top like the first half Still a bit silly and maybe a good slice of cheese, but I really liked this chunk of the season a lot. It just felt right to end the show this way and I was actually surprised they took this turn here.

I wouldn’t doubt it has gotten better, those old kits were probably more than thirty years old. Although I did think at the time I saw one that it was an interesting idea. -

Unfortunately, so does spider Gwen. It would be really hard to keep a secret identity when your own name is part of your hero name. Clark Man or Spider Peter or The Winter Bucky or Aquaman( I couldn’t even remember his actual name and he’s already a lame character) or Green Oliver( could’ve been Queen Arrow, but that would be just confusing) are all pretty bad.- 1484 replies

Maybe there will be one on amazon if that Nicholas Cage series ends up something. personally, I’ve never really liked the spider Gwen character. It always felt very what ify and then name was kinda dumb. It would be like if Bat Bruce or Iron Tony were actual super hero names.- 1484 replies

It’s probably more of a Bandai thing, but they may be just filling extra orders for when the second batch comes along. I still think it’s crazy that hlj seems to be the only site in Japan that sells Bandai model kits to people outside of Japan.

Just hoping it turns out better than when they did it on the old hg 1/144 gundam mkII -
I kinda like the fact that both groups have different style ships and Armor. It makes them appear as totally different species as they thought themselves to be. The more organic Zentran ships looking more alive and the more mechanical Meltran ships looking like something completely different, although I would’ve liked to have seen some variation in the Meltran mecha other than just the armors that would’ve been more angular to fit the looks of the ships a bit more
-
That’s probably an oopsie
-
Those are the movie ones. They were far less organic looking than the male ships in the movie. More sharp edges and flat surfaces

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Big s replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, I remember it does get better, but it’s still tough in these early ones. I want to get them knocked so I can get to the good stuff and I think it will be much easier to move forward from there. Although I do have to say doing a rewatch of this is still better than my rewatch of Gundam seed and its stupid sequel. I still haven’t watched that seed movie yet. -
Sure seems like a noisy mess

I had this plan of really attacking the show and watching a bunch of episodes at a time, but I just don’t feel to excited about it and it’s taking a lot of energy out of me. At episode 9, but still trying to get through it, I’m not gonna give up, but it’s really more of a struggle than I thought it would be -
I always use llamas to remember her Macross name and the state of Arizona for the Robotech oneLap Lamiz for Macross Azonia for Robotech. I really only used the tv example for Robotech since they didn’t have the movie stuff, same name though In the movie the ladies had mostly purple and they were mostly much sharper more high tech looking compared to the more rounded organic look male ships, but I think I remember some possibly being shared between them. As far as the show, I think that her ships were purple, but not so much male or female, just a few that seemed different in color than the green

Lots of great work to everyone here. Lots of variety going on. it’s gotta be tough losing your work buddy, and it really is a shame that we all can’t last forever along with the little friends we get over time. But there’s always hope that there might be a place we go where our friends family and special little ones will also be there waiting for us when it’s time. Keep up the good memories and never forget the fun times you’ve had and maybe finish a project in his memory. and when you’re ready for another little furry buddy, just remember the classic meme

Probably, or it could just have been the way they were grouped. Hulu had things oddly separated by movie or tv, even though some in the tv section were ova’s, but I had to do a separate search in the movie section to get the movies to pop up on the first day while adding things to my list When people first started complaining about the lack of any subtitles at launch, those were the first things I played around with to try and see what was going on. I did also try Flashback 2012, even though that was the first thing I watched. The first night right at release, I did 2012, but didn’t even think to try subtitles since it’s mostly music, but the plus stuff and that were on everyone’s complaint list for lack of subtitles. that’s kinda what I remembered, but it’s been many years and I mainly say the ova, and maybe the movie once. I didn’t remember any changes to it at all, and that’s probably why they didn’t include the movie version

I just hope it’s not gonna do the weird opening vents for a psycho frame all over since it only had it around the cockpit. I don’t mind maintenance hatches and such, but as long as it doesn’t try to change too much

The plus movie was on Hulu on day one of streaming. It was one of my first tests the second day for the subtitles, but I had added it to my list the very first day. The Macross 2 movie wasn’t on there though. Although I don’t remember if anything was different between the Macross 2 movie and Ova series.

A real grade sounds interesting, but very complicated. Lots of little pieces, it could turn out like their hand grenade Zeta. But hopefully they’ve learned from those mistakes. Maybe a surprise perfect grade, but that’s kinda just dreaming. Then again I didn’t expect hg 1/100 kits when they announced them.

I don’t think they have any plans for 1/72 , at least not for a long time.
