    Tooo many people remember Terminator and not enough remember Short Circuit. I think it’s gonna be a while before these kind of robots are trusted by the public. People are even scared to hear that police departments have been using drones in some areas and they hear stories of Drones being used in war, but a revolutionary robot that could help mankind especially in rescue situations is gonna get the most fear. I think that’s why Boston Dynamics spent so much time on a dance video. People eventually will get used to their robots, but it’s gonna take time

    I really want it to be soon as well. This is definitely the animated project that I’m most excited about these days

    I think they did a dull look to contrast with the bright green parts, but you could always try a gloss coat if you don’t like it. And if you end up hating the gloss, you could easily add a spray of dull coat as long as you mask the clear parts. If you’re not used to masking off parts, try eraser putty. It forms like clay to the parts you want to leave alone and is slightly sticky and totally reusable

    Another round of preorders are going up on the pbandai USA site later. Some newer items that haven’t been offered on the American site and some rereleases. I’m probably gonna put in orders for the hg Gm Spartan And Slegger’s gm.

    There’s passing the torch, but in the usual Disney storyline it’s find the broken pieces of the torch, mend it, relight it it and then pass it on After watching the ot , I never really thought of Obi as a failure. He seemed to me like he was just protecting Luke from getting side tracked and possibly giving in to the dark side. It wasn’t until the prequels came out that I thought of him as a bit of a failure or Vader as a spoiled whiny b..ch. The obi show really made him out to be an absolute train wreck and Vader to be a total failure every time he tried to do something epic. And now after your quote I’m wondering if there’s a background scene or two where palpatine is asking someone to bring out the gimp whenever he needs a laugh and watch Vader fail again

    The difference with Luther is that he didn’t let his problems break him to the point of uselessness. He pushes through and adapts. He might give an over dramatic speech, but he’s definitely not useless and knows what he has to do.

    A lot of the problems here are the same problem with all of Disney owned franchises. Willow for example is the newest one where you revisit old heroes, but they’re not heroes anymore. They’re somehow messed up and almost nonfunctional and have to train a replacement or new generation to fix what’s wrong with them in the process. They’ve been reusing this in everything they’re running these days from marvel and Star Wars and now Willow. The great thing about A New Hope is that we meet a real hero that had been in hiding. He doesn’t dwell on past mistakes, he teaches wisdom and skill to Luke and that’s what made him a great character. If there had never been any prequel or side stories, he would have been remembered as a great retired hero/teacher. Now all we get are shows and movies where they bring back a beloved character and he has to be broken and twisted in a way that makes everyone gag. Mando was great because he wasn’t a messed up relic of the past and Andor ended up being pretty good because he wasn’t getting taught by a washed up main character.

    Like killer bees “with frickin laser beams attached to their heads” I kinda think Robotech was really trying way too hard to connect these unrelated stories. The invid seemed to discover humans and tried to copy them genetically, wouldn’t they have tried to become much larger to copy the zentraedi? And wouldn’t the zentraedi just see the invid as a nuisance and wipe out any planet they inhabited? The zentraedi seemed to pride themselves in the ability to just spacefold a massive fleet for the purpose of annihilating entire wolds for fun.

    I was kinda thought about those, but I think they were already finished skits. Although it would be funny to see if they addressed those in some way in the new movie

    Maybe the new max factory kit if they do a 1a battroid. Or you never know, maybe since the moderoid line seems to do some obscure mecha especially with Patlabor, maybe they will do an official Orguss Valkyrie

    I believe those were smoke launchers or various items like signals or flares. Most of the combat armors had them in some location and most of the humanoid ones had them near the head

    Same here as far as wanting more than just the heroes. Moderoid has been putting out a few kits for franchises of the past and most have had more than one kit. Patlabor has had some really obscure designs turned into moderoid kits. I’ve never seen such a variety of brain powered plastic kits before moderoid either. There’s already a couple for Nadesico and they did four kits for Escaflowne. Hopefully that trend sticks around for Orguss and Megazone.

    I’m more of a model kit person than toy collector. This to me is the orguss I’ve been waiting for.

    Moderoid for the win. Orgus and megazone. Hope they do more than just the heroes. They do seem to have some interesting franchises that Bandai has ignored

    If she digs sci-fi, she might be ok. When my daughter was a bit younger than that, she would take the vhs of Galaxy quest and put it in and I’d fall asleep about halfway through and since I worked nights, I’d wake up a few hours later and the movie would be on a third watch after an automatic rewind. Some kids sit really well for a good movie.
