Thanks for the pic it looks like there’s pretty good part separation and the legs appear to be long and a bit thick like the illustrations

I was curious about that as well. Seems Bandai items seem significantly higher when the come to retail in the states, especially with the higher priced items- 14 replies

Looking good so far

Yes The bottom half would be odd since the arms are flare out and I’m not sure if they detailed her back. It would be nice to see a separate figure

To be honest, if it weren’t for Top Gun I don’t think he’d be the type to do as many of his own stunts in movies at his age. The character made him the man he is today.

Sorry, thought we were talking the actor over the character, but my comment from before almost works, just change actor for pilot and it sort of fits

If I remember right all the stories were by different creators and he was just producing it to help them out. my favorite Del Toro projects are the ones that are over the top in the creative department. Even a kinda by the numbers film like Don’t be Afraid of the Dark captures my attention in the odd over detailing. There’s a scene in that movie with the kid in the bed, but it’s the most over sculpted bed that easily could’ve been a simple bed with a basic headboard, but it’s like staring into a never ending forest of lines and swirls that just didn’t need to be there, but I’m so glad it was

I don’t think he’s a bad actor or the greatest. But he’s stayed relevant without having the extremely forgettable faze most actors have gone through and it helps that even though he has been a big actor in the 80’s that he doesn’t look 80

I was kinda thinking that it’s odd this isn’t on Max since they have the movies there

Definitely too rich for me, but it’s fun to see for sure

Can you show the parts for Kei. I’ve only seen the 2d art pics and haven’t seen how the figure looks in package. I was curious about the detail and parts mostly

Hopefully you’ll be around to add another zero or to that count

I’m curious if there’s an odd screen shot with any details in either side of the backpack

I saw this for preorder the other night and was thinking that for not much more than Bandai’s high grade with option pack 1, you get a much more detailed and bigger kit. It is strange to see that both Wave and Max Factory are in the same scale right now

The last couple Macross releases didn’t seem to appear at many U.S. stores. I had seen the Regult and I think the light missile type, but the scout and heavy were much harder to find and didn’t seem too cheap. Not sure if there was an issue distribution them here or lack of interest from hobby retailers or why the others seemed more scarce

Maybe. I’m pretty surprised honestly. I’ve seen mistakes like this on the model build pictures on the boxes, but not in the actual art

R.I.P. Steve Harwell (Smash Mouth Lead Singer)

Yeah, he was in the news a few days before he passed and it was reported at the time that it was liver failure with death only a few days away. It’s such an odd thing to think about as a cause of death, but I hope that others learn how it could be prevented. I’m not a fan of the band, but it would be hard to think of Shrek without their soundtrack. It’s sort of the band that comes to mind when you see an image of the character, wether you love them or hate them or are just indifferent to them. -
Honestly, there’s a lot of difference as far as the surfaces, the lower arms are very beefy in the show and the head has a different face and antennae. I think the movie version would look cool in green either way though. But I’ve kinda got maybe a bit too much hope that the TV version is in the works. If I know Hasegawa though, the obvious reuse of the mold will be for a max version, and more than likely a recolor, as a grunt color. Personally I’m gonna wait and see if they do the tv version down the line, to save my brain on modifications. Not only that, but it would probably have the proper decals. But don’t let my opinions stop anyone from trying. It would be a lot of work, but it would be great to see and there isn’t a guarantee that Hasegawa will do a tv version, just higher hopes after seeing how far they went with variations on the Regult and Robot Battle V kits recently

I loved seeing the prototype, but that was a long time ago. After seeing the DYRL Q-Rau from hasegawa, it makes me think we’ll see it sooner in plastic kit form than toy form
-
I’ve always seen it with the L, when it’s a toy or kit from Japan
-
Hobbysearch has it for just over $33
-
They really are. I’m probably gonna hold off on a Max blue just because I have a feeling they’re gonna reuse this mold and add new decals and a Max figure to go with it.

She’s already preordered, no questions
