  1. Nice weathering. I imagine these getting pretty scorched from dropping out of high atmosphere and constant battle. I don’t think Zentraedi were well known for basic maintenance or cleanup of mecha. Hopefully they at least showered after
  2. Nice job on the shading. It’s more subtle than most people go with and gives more of a weathered look. Can’t wait to see the finished pictures
  3. Keep up the good work and happy belated birthday
  4. Those look so good painted up that if you’re hand wasn’t there for scale, I would have thought they were larger action figures.
  5. I’m not gonna trash the food trucks. There are quite a few really creative and good ones here in so cal. They’ve come a long way since the roach coaches of the past and some are better than a lot of good restaurants.
  6. Looks nice and filthy. She’s dirty in a good way
  7. Honestly, some of the undergating gets in the way. Like the nub on some parts will be right next to a peg. But overall the plastic is softer than Bandai, so they do clean up fairly easy for such wide gates. I’ve gotten spoiled by Bandai lately with the super thin gates
  8. Good to know. I have that issue sometimes with other epoxies. I ordered some milliput, and the lighter color part was crumbly and the yellowish part turned dark and oily. It didn’t mix well.
  9. Tamiya stuff is usually easy to find, but their polyester putty is the hard one to get these days. The permatex plastic welder that pengbuzz recommended was at the local hardware store, so I’m gonna see how that one goes on a couple of projects.
  10. I haven’t seen those in a long time
  11. Did Michael J Fox try out for the X Men

Speaking of figuarts, remember that Bretai they teased. And the Char and the Faye. I just hope some things pop up this year
  13. the painting really makes those pieces stand out
  14. Lots of cool bits and pieces. i bitch about having to fix little things on plastic kits that I work on, and you make an entire model from scratch in record time with great detail. It’s really amazing to see especially in this day and age where so many are using 3D printing. I really love seeing those sculpted parts and how you get them so precise even on mirrored parts
  15. Thom, I hope that you can get that creativity rolling and something really great comes from it and someone eventually makes a terrible movie adaptation that people will say “the book was better”
  16. The epoxies are probably the fastest, but I’ve had the best luck with polyester putty from tamiya. That one does take about a day though. I personally don’t like the normal tamiya putties since they don’t seem to stick as well to the surface and have shrinking issues and can take a while to dry for sanding.
  17. The promos still look like they were using 3d prints. Some of those level lines were showing. I’d imagine it will be more smoothed out later and the fit will probably be tighter
  18. That little guy and his bike look amazing in color
  19. He was impressive and frightening. You never want to be the focus of his harsh insults. And he was the lord of destruction as long as you count emotional damage

Personally, I’m tired of the vf1, I want that teased vf 0 or those last two destroids or some more great Zentraedi mecha
  21. The build is gonna take a bit of time. Lots of seams and some drilling and stuff. If I can clear some space the paint shouldn’t take too long. For the most part it will only be 3 colors, light blue, dark gray and off white. There’s gonna be some things I’m not exactly experienced with, like the rescribing of the panels and setting those clear parts, but I’m gonna do my best and so far things are going alright
  22. Gonna be leaving soon for tonight’s ritual in Anaheim. It’s my daughters birthday present since Ghost is one of her favorites as well
