  1. That's their work uniform.
  2. The skeleton is certainly very impressive but I think it's also the main problem causing the non-dynamic poses: whereas the Revoltech’s are just independent joints that connect different pieces with each other, the GN-U's have a set common skeleton that gets restricted depending on the type of armour you put on it. I'll still pick up the YF-21 though.
  3. For all the constant bitching that goes in this forum, the Yamato bitching is the only useful one; mainly because it talks mostly about real stuff not about stuff that doesn't yet exist in its final form (be it toy or movie or anime or whatever). That and the bitching about Toynami and other companies that sticks to their actual released products. There are thousands of posts about "they raped my childhood", "its not line art accurate", "they aren't true to the original spirit of the series"... and that’s when we only have one or two script notes, leaked pics, magazine scans or even early protos… Pure subjective crap that can go either way, but that the 1st ed VF-11 will most likely loose a leg is a freaking fact. And we always get new people here that don’t know these stories. Hard to think of constructive criticism in this site, but yes, bringing up that the first two releases of the VF-0 will most likely loose an arm as well as remembering all the other designs and QC f* ups is helpful to the community. Example: HLJ has the VF-0A almost as cheap as the Angel Birds 1/48 on sale now. I said "cool, the VF-0 is purty, me want"; but thanks to the people here with their constant horror stories and pics I know that the toy is on sale because it’s defective. That and that to get it to work like it is supposed to you have to buy from Yamato the same arms they f* up. Conclusion: I won't pay more than what they are asking for a perfectly working 1/48 for a toy that I know will break.
  4. Must be there isn't enough lolicon. I can see it now: "Next week on MF: 20+ minutes of Ranka naked" ratings= off the scale
  5. They showed Raiders on TV this weekend. The temple sequence in the beginning sure has lost a lot of the punch it had since the last time I saw it. Today we have fake looking CG and yesterday we had fake looking stone temples... Kinda felt bored on some parts but maybe it was because I was tired. Had they done a trilogy marathon I would have turned the TV off half way. Either way, the music was awesome as ever and hearing it on the big screen will make the ticked worthwhile. Edit: Hell yeah!! BTW, is this another mile long OT Hurin bitching thread?
  6. Holly F*, nice find! And I see the Zaku II Kai behind the Alex protos (to the right of all the green zakus)! They are skipping normal HCM-pro and going straight fot the S-hcm. Go 0080!
  7. I still say we need bigger pics but so far the only weird thing IMO is the crotch area and that the shoulder armour is a bit thin. The shoulders just aren't angled up like they should probably because of a mistransformation or because the proto is too early to have them locked (that would fix the long arms). The crotch in that pic looks nothing like the official design so it could also mean that it is transformed incorrectly. Fighter mode may look different because we are more used to the forced perspective pic that makes the nose look bigger.
  8. I must say that looks good. Nice find Mowe! Big Regult and Gurren galleries: http://gamu-toys.info/sonota/kaiyo/revoltech/051/051.html http://gamu-toys.info/sonota/kaiyo/revoltech/050/050.html

  10. OMG, pics of the DX!! Fighter looks really good... Batroid with the monkey arms could be mistransformed. First impresion: I like but need better pics. Is this another case of Kawamori's "f*ck the robot, I want fighter mode to shine!"?
  11. VF-27 Armonica
  12. Awesome looking episode even with the low quality RAW! So many good moments:
  13. I second that! Come on people, it's a classic
  14. I'm really really surprised they are doing a Vajra. Looks like Bandai is finally backing up Macross like it deserves. When was the last time we saw them do an enemy that wasn't from Gundam? Forgot about the (possible HCM-Pro) 1/100 line! Hope Bandai gives us at least the VF-171. Who knows, if things go well and MF sells we might even see a new 1/100 Monster!
  15. Good to see things are moving. Battroid really looks good and I even like fighter mode even if it's off (reminds me of the vf-5000). Gerwalk looks dead though. If the cheapo kit looks that good, the bigger DX toy version will kick ass. If they are doing a Vajra that must mean that we'll also get a VF-171, at least in model kit form.
  16. Nor any movie were a character uses a computer
  17. And when that doesn't work, the wiki about the current situation of X hero in his comic solves everything: .... there now. Doesn't the movie now sound like a documentary? Leaving incriminating proof against yourself in the computer network of the guy you wanted to have killed seems normal to me now.
  18. The plot falls apart a bit in the second half of the movie, predictable stuff, some things are forced... but who the hell cares! This thing was really fun, funny and, well, awesome! Robert Downey Jr. perfectly nailed Tony Stark. Good to have an IM geek for an actor. I'll watch the new Hulk movie just for his cameo. Now this is a good Marvel comicbook movie. The little surprise after the credits was perfect.
  19. I just preordererd the Classics Ultra Magnus trailer from BBTS. Does that mean I'll get it for sure or my preorder could be canceled?
  20. And the high end stuff can also have bugs. My SOC Gunbuster has the right metal arm that holds the knee guard thingy very loose. It won't fall in some poses and could be fixed with just nail polish but yes, you can get QC issues even in the SOC line. Bandai's better QC means you'll be less likely to get a lemon, not that it's impossible to get one. And remember, more important than QC are design f*ck ups. Remember Yamato's breaking hips (old VF-11), shoulders (VF-0) or crooked gun pods (1st ed YF-19)? Now those aren't the fault of the Chinese slave/worker building them but the people in charge of the design and it's approval. On that end, I think Bandai delivers good stuff, at least on the high end spectrum.
  21. , I was saving it for the red set but I just couldn't wait anymore.
  22. Nice! You people continue with your fancy shmancy action poses. I'll just lie down... And peacefully share views about Schopenhauer and Kierkegaard Ok, here's one them action thinggies.
  23. Another pleasant surprise of an episode... and that from just the RAW. Beautiful background art eye candy too.
  24. Same here!! Wait... they can keep the ugly buggy thing The Beagle even has the weapons. Give a real(ly low) price damn it!
