misterryno, all your great poses using the flexistands make me want to get a pair right now. Guess it's time to join the flexi revolution

Big Raideen gallery: http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/gouki/41sra/41sra01.html http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/gouki/41sra/41sra02.html Eva-02 looks really sweet. Can't wait to see how the rebuild recolour looks (01 rebuilt looks really nice with the extra green parts).

Didn't some sci-fi and fantasy writers use old LSD for "creative purposes"? I know for sure Jodorowsky used it.

If I remember correctly, Kawamori did THS-02 Prime focusing in robot mode. That's why the vehicle mode is a bit "lacking". Personally, it's my second favourite toy of my collection (so much tiny awesomeness). MP03 brought the floating head when the thing was already designed. Kawamari, being a plane nut, changed the design so that plane mode looked more like a real fighter. He didn't do a perfect job on that one (David could fill you in on the new inaccuracies the god of Macross introduced to the design). The undercarriage wasn't 100% plane like because they couldn't figure out how to do it or because there would be a lot more kibble or maybe Takara finally said stop. The colour scheme was also by his decree (by now we all know K-sama has special tastes in the colour department). IMO, the end result was also awesome. All this means that if he's bitching it's because plane mode isn't up to his expectations. We might end up with a YF-21, were fighter is beautiful and battroid mode is second place. Since the VF-25 looks to have less anime magic than the YF-21 and that Bandai has some truly skilful people when they want to make expensive toys, the end result could be very nice looking in all modes. Heck, the VF-25 even looks thought out beforehand to be a toy; that incredibly big rack of kibble the wings turn into says it all. Hey, I like it, but you would expect that 70+ years of alien technology would have made possible to fold big ass wings a bit more by then.

Macross Frontier Episode 4 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
Twoducks replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Finally understanding what is going on makes this great episode shine even more. 7000 years drifting in space.... SPOOOOOOKY And I can't get enough of the combat scenes. Going back and fort between valk modes really shows that they have a function. It makes the experience seem more plausible beyond cartoon/future toy eye candy. -

Very nice episode with a lot of funny moments. The fight scenes in this series so far are deliciously fantastic. -
Too much stuff

Finally a new Zaku Kai!

You've had them since 02/10/2006 and you haven't shared any pics untill now!!! You bastard Seriously noe, awesome pics. The following two pics are for mature audiences: Now we know where superdeformed alphas come from. Finally uploading these again:
-
It's the little details like the pintpoint punch and shield that make them worth every penny and more. They even go for the real action poses of the anime in the promo pics (love the freefalling shot of the YF-19). You just can't resist getting both.

I was thinking of keeping the red and green Legioss and selling their Treads after I got them, but the blue Tread proved to be so fun that I’m having second thoughts. Both bots complement each other very nicely. One question for you guys that have played around more with these: can the Treads head rotate? The pics in the instructions show it turning but mine doesn’t come all the way up and I don’t want to force the metal bar I connects to.

My Legioss Tread combo arrived yesterday from Toyntoys. Very nicely packaged and for a good price. I felt like a kid while opening and taking everything out of the box . Always wanted a Beta and here it was. Some of the pics made me feel that it was a bit dull compared to the more complex looking Legioss, but boy did it steel the spotlight when I took it out of the box! The plastic indeed looks a lot better in person; the blue has a beautiful tone. The Tread with the wings extended looks huge! The Legioss looks great, but the leg articulation needs some getting used to; the same can be said about the feet. It’s just weird. I’ll probably do the hip mod to get a better “A stance” like the Tread has. Fighter mode is tight on mine (having the missile pack attached helps keep the arms more in check) but I miss the extra tight feeling of locking parts you get from a 1/48. I really didn’t care for the link up since I wanted robot mode over all the others but seeing both connected in person is awesome. In fact VERY AWESOME… It’s a real bloody shame the link mechanism is so f*ing rudimentary/crappy. As you can see, I’m happy with the purchase. Things could be better but overall the combo wins in my book. Next week I’ll try to panel line them (they are jam packed of detail; some of it is even very hard to see). Thanks to Samuray Monkey I’ll be getting a green version and a red version courtesy of Overdrive will soon follow after that.

Come on, tell the truth, you just posted because you wanted to show off that new awesome flavoured signature you have The Thunder Hamemer, so beautiful yet sadly out of my reach.

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
Twoducks replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Sorry!?? An inability to discover demands seppuku as atonement!! Preorder it now, wait for a lower price, wait for the reviews, wait for the 2nd run, wait to see if the yen or the dollar fall more against the euro, forget about it and rejoin the real world... so many possibilities -
Would anybody be interested in just the red Tread with the rest of the content of the box (sword, mini figures...)?
-
Moral of the story: a bad movie/adaptation/remake can't kill the original it is based upon, so why waste time bitching and being unhappy and pissed about something nobody is forcing you to see in the first place?

Official 1/60 YF-21 News & Picture Thread (ver.2)
Twoducks replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
To Yamato: Max VF-22 = $$$... No wait, they'll just do a superduper limited release only for Japanese citizens whose last name rimes with Kawamori. Seriously now, looks like the whole M7 license thing was just that it had expired and Yamato didn’t want to pay up. Do these legal things go up in price? Maybe MF made the fee go up. -
This is also my first preordered with them. They are in Singapore so stuff sometimes arrives there later (like the Bandai SOC Godmarz which arrived last week when it’s been out far longer in Japan). As you can see, other MW members from that country use their physical store so I guess they are ok. Did your girlfriend get an “Order Status Change” e-mail saying the preorder is “Confirmed”? Anyways, I wrote them last week to see if they new when the item was arriving. This is what I got:

What he said! Thanks guys! One question: how's the waist movement on both? Restricted in any way? BTW misterryno, I'll be posting some MH and CM ride armor pics on the strike a pose thread tomorrow
-
So that's how they work. I'll be really carefull then; thanks for the info! Now Wing gets hcm love. Wonder when will it be 0080's turn...
-
Yeah, my left hand keeps falling off. The rest I don't know since I've only taken the Eva out of the box. Funky elbow action (notice that both arms are in completely unnatural poses): And a gallery: http://momoja.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-345.html
-
I also got the HCM-Pro Eva 1 recently. The shoulder guards pop off a lot when posing but it's a really nice figure and the elbows are insanely posable (I wonder how they work). And my HCM Tieren and Super HCM-Pro Char Zaku should arrive in two weeks or so. This line is really good, hope Bandai does some Macross Frontier HCM-pros

Thanks for the links!! Finally, a ton of awesome pics in various poses If the translation is right, the guy kinda did a mod to the hips so they can open more. Don't know if said mod can influence fighter mode (not really bothered by the gap though). I must say fighter mode on the Legioss has grown on me a lot. Can't wait to get them.
