Be very patient when looking for it. If I had known that the fast packs were so overpriced I would have forked out the extra $43 when I had the chance. Remember that you will most probably have to pay S&H. That could be from 0 to 40 bucks more, depends on the shop. Yesasia lists the normal VF-1J for $168 including S&H but under availability it says "usually ships within 30 days". People in this forum think that they might re-release some stuff when the GBP armor is released, but who knows. Good luck Side note: Man, is Tsinc overpriced!

I remember buying GiJoe's, TMNT and the such when I was a kid. Now, the moment I started buying stuff with the excuse that I was "collecting it" was with comics around 1996. Specific events took me closer to that medium (death of Superman, Marbel Vs Dc, X-men and Spider-man animated series...) until around that year the Onslaught crossover and Wizard magazine hooked me completelly. I learned what was good and what was not and concentrated on getting classic stories (Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, Daredevil...) up until two years ago. During that 6 year period I also got some Spawn figures and Evas. I also got into Warhammer because of my little brother (just to collect it as I'm to lazy to study the rules). The Robotech itch has come and gone about three times: 1-When I learned of the Robotech DVD's (didn´t get anything because of money issues, just DYRL? ). 2-When I learned the MPC was coming out (had other things to worry about an forgot about it). 3- When a friend told me he had gotten the whole Saint Seiya series on e-bay. I picked up Robotech and searched for that MPC toy line witch let me here where I learned of Yamato and finally of the 1/48. Next week my first valk arrives and my wallet is scared

Funny thing is that when I was a kid I never noticed how choppy some parts were animated. I just resaw that episode today after who knows how many years and that fight was...

I see Hikaru tends to fight in fighter mode whereas Max is more comfortable in Battroid. When Max does his "god of war" dance he's usually in Battroid mode (first time he's refered to as an amazing pilot, infiltrating a Zentran ship, most of the fight with Millia). So maybe Hikaru is a better airplain pilot and Max a better robot pilot. Remember that in DYRL? Hikaru holds pretty well on an unarmed fighter, never using Battroid mode, and Max ends up using a Queadlunn.

Sorry to hear that renegadeleader1. I also almost fell for an overpriced valk: 110 bucks for a Ben MPC from Toynami. Good thing I contained my Robotech itch and started to search for reviews on them and found this site. Thanks to Graham reviews and this forum I learned that the MPC's where overpriced boxes and discovered the existance of the 1/48 (I've wanted something like a 1/48 since I was a kid). Thanks guys.
