On the one hand, the Hot Toys Iron Man looks really good, but on the other it also looks stiff like a brick... what to do? Anybody else feel the same?

Very sad news. I thought he had his cancer under control. And only 37, damn, it can happen to anyone at any age (a friend of mine has her sister with cancer, they are winning but she's just 28). Makes you value the little things.

If the SOC thing works out, it would be great if it means lower prices. Hope the best for the Bandai - Toynami deal. New heads on the Betas is fantastic idea; wish CM had done it on theirs. On battroid, the Toynami looses completely in my book to the CM. That big fat cockpit in the chest and the extra boxy design don't appeal to me. Now the link up mode wins over the CM, probably cause the connection doesn't look so incredibly half assed like in the CM and the bigger Beta ads more bulk to the combo. Sad thing is that after experiencing the Aoshima Legioss I'll pass on getting a red Beta like I was planning to. People are sooooo right about the Aoshima's being crap: my red Legios looked like superglue was smuched on the surface and had the radar missing. Saddest part is that I got it for cheap and still felt ripped off while the CM combo’s are expensive and I have no regrets in getting them. The design isn't much different than the CM Legioss in fighter mode, the gap is gone and things lock on but you hardly notice these things and diecast doesn't say anything to me. I’ll dump it on Ebay soon. Don’t know if holding the Toynami version would change my mind; maybe I could still half ass it and stick a Beta to one of my CM legioss to leave displayed in combo mode.

And it's a pity; I liked "The long Halloween" and always heard good things about his stuff when I was still into comics five or so years ago. Guess he's gone loony like Frank Miller. At least they make good material for funny articles. Hope Wolverine takes away the “meh” feeling I got from X-men 3.

The Marvel planes in this line have some nifty transformations; I also like how the Iron-Man one gets rid of the nose cone.

Thanks! If they pull a good looking horsy robot, they have my money for the set. Right now the renders look a bit static but it's still to early. Seems like it comes with a "perfect transformation" horse head and a snap on one that looks better.

Enki looks really cool (and here I thought it was going to be a boring release). The Lagann head is an great extra. Edit: Wait, I don't see the wings to complete Gurren Lagann's jet pack.

Really enjoyed this episode. Nice to see a recap that actually advances the plot adding information and new footage much like they did in the Gundam 00 recap episode.

There was a youtube video that visually explained it really good but I can't find it anymore. Maybe this review can't help (can't see it myself, youtube is broken or something in my Mozilla right now): Wonder if Wave will milk the mold again with a new scheme this year too. WFT-1 version anybody?
