  1. Looking VERY good. The Alto scheme wins over the Ozma by far in my book (so much that I would only pic an Ozma if the GBP armour looks killer).
  2. I needed this thread. I want to buy one but I can only have one. It's so damn hard having to choose between these two beauties
  3. He could always make me laugh my ass off.
  4. F* YES!! (Didn't know there were fast packs for the VF-4; they look very MFrontier )
  5. Damn it Yamato, where is my 0D! The prophesy clearly said one M+ toy followed by a M zero toy and so on; the 1/60 VF-1 v2 shouldn’t count. Seriously now, I’m more of a fan of how the old 1/72 looks in fighter mode than of the actual VF-11B official design. But after Yamato’s recent engineering wonders, I’m very interested in seeing what they can come up with.
  6. And of the 1/72: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-67015-1-1.html
  7. Thanks for the link!! Gerwalk looks less stiff in the poster. Hope we see a bigger pic ot it with the coloured protos soon. I think the hips should hang a bit lower from the crotch if they whant to look more faithfull to the design but I like what I see.
  8. That custom VF-22 is awesome. Can't wait for my GN-U 21 to arrive.
  9. Damn. There goes one hell of a visual genius.
  10. Sounds good. I was getting worried since nobody was talking about it. So, could we say that Marvel struck oil again?

    VF-OS or VF-0A

Thanks. It's getting harder and harder to resist getting a VF-0 while I wait for a D.
  12. Some very nice pics in this picture review: http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/yamato/yf21/yf2101.html http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/yamato/yf21/yf2102.html
  13. Lots of pics of the 21 thanks to OverDrive: http://www.over-drive-inc.com/overdrive-bl...orized/398.html

    VF-OS or VF-0A

How much does a set of arms from HLJ cost? Do they come as a set or do you have to order left and right?

    2 seater 1/48s

    I second this notion.
  16. Nice The future of the new 1/60 line looks bright.
  17. Go Swoosh! Great mecha porn as always; keep'em comming
  18. You mean "automatically" like in "automorph"? Damn you Yamato for putting kiddy Transformers gimmicks on our expensive manly grown-up collectibles!! Any word on the unlocking mechanism for the arms and feet in delimiter mode? Is it sturdy with them attached? Does it look like it’ll hold over time?
  19. I did some quick scaled comparisons (I think the 1/48 is a bit off). A 1/100 would end up bigger than I thought but it could still fit in the HCM line. If not, I hope they don't go for a line that uses gummy plastic. VF-25 = 15,59m (from the official MF page) 1/60 – 25,98cm - 10.39” 1/72 - 21,65cm - 8.66” 1/100 – 15,59cm - 6.24” VF-1 = 12.68m (from mahq.net) 1/48 - 26,42cm - 10.57” 1/60 – 21,13cm - 8.45” Gundam RX-79 = 18m (mahq.net) 1/144 – 12,5cm - 5” 1/200 – 9cm - 3.6” Yes, it's possible that I don't understand that concept. Still, I found Shaggydog's approach regarding the uselessness of the whole "Bandai hates Macross" thing more entertaining than the last 20 pages of “it’s going to suck - no it won’t - yes it will”. Don’t want to get in a fight over it, specially when the 1/60 YF-21 irradiates so much love. BTW, looks like we’ve upgraded to a PG-13 forum. “Bitching” isn’t a censored word anymore!
  20. Then why all your constant bitter hammering of people in this thread that don't think like you do? For your own safety, I would lay off the constant bitching because we have this scary batty bouncer guy here on MW that goes "flame on!" everytime people whine too much about a toy.... OMG! your that guy! Hurry, run from yourself
  21. Thanks for a good post in between all this bitter bitching.
  22. OMG! Well, they dropped the glossy finish but the blue tone they used is delicious
  23. I enjoyed Speed Racer's hokiness and silliness more than I did Indiana IV's. I guess the original stuff like the car-fu scenes or the other visual elements they played with in Speed made for a more fresh and new product than the reused Indiana formula.
  24. The problem is that we've been hyped for decades by pop culture that the original Indiana or the SW trilogies are the $hit. Pop culture turned them into “legends” so toping that is near impossible compared to doing a sequel of something recent like Spider-man or X-men. Their “greatness” also hits them in the foot if you really aren’t a fanboy of them. Raiders fell from my pedestal last week when I resaw it. Great action scenes with a fun simple story in-between punches and a VERY charismatic character; but that's it, it didn't make the world a better place or elevate film to a higher artform. I’ve seen a lot of fun movies like that but since Indiana Jones I is supposed to be the definition of “adventure” it falls short of its own greatness and end up not satisfying me.
  25. The “plot” was worthy of a two part Saturday morning cartoon with some X-files sprinkles and the sense of adventure I got was as big as the sound stages and CG they used to film something that is supposed to take place in the jungle. The actions scenes are great, some fantastic (especially because they help you forget the stupidly complicated plot) but you always know who’s going to make it ( ). Either way, my brother and I laughed our asses off of how stupid some of the things going on were. A lot of the scenes that have the tinfoil… er crystal skull in it are a gold mine of stupidness. Iron-man surviving a 1000 fall to the ground is pure SCIENCE compared to what Indy survives or does in this movie. My girlfriend/wife found it boring and lost track of the plot half way, and she told me that other females she heard in the bathroom thought the same or felt that Marion’s character made no sense. I had a good time because I made fun of the movie but my thirst for an adventure movie was not satisfied. Go see this with low expectations.
