Does it really matter what the people in Japan use for their "robot"-terminology to us here in the west or how old they were in Japan when 7 and Plus was shown? Seriously. What's the relevance to us that are not there?

I think Yamato-Toys should make and sell a proper VF2SS in 1/60 scale. They already improved upon the crappy Bandai M7-valks, so it's not much of a stretch that they can vastly improve upon the even-crappier Bandai VF2SS kit.

I think the major charm and appeal of Macross in the mecha-dept was that the mechas were about as completely non-derivative of the old 70's robots, i.e. they don't remind anyone of the Mazinger Z or Getter or Raideen or Balatach or Mekander or etc, etc. The exception to that being the Soundforce valks of M7 having faces, of course. Having a mouth on a mecha in Macross is just stupidly silly and unnecessary, imo.

Keith is trying to make us squint to see that the F91 Gundam he searched hard for has some kind of mouth that is comparable to the M7 Valks like Fire Valk or the Maxl. It's like saying beetles look like bats coz both have wings. Oy vey.

Wait a sec. The specific Bandai VF-2SS kit is most likely the worst kit ever, regardless if it's from Macross or from another anime series. It's even more horrible than those tiny exploding Banpresto VF-series! The only thing good about the kit was the Ishtar poster that came with it.

let's try to be more pedant here. really haven't seen a Gundam mecha with a mouth that's not covered, in contrast to the M7 Fire-Valk or the MAXL. of course, there's the over-ridiculous gundams on G, but i don't think those even count since G is not really canon like M7.

yeah. not really digging those new colors on both Blast Off and Vortex. I really think the Bruticus arms are just mistransformed (either deliberately or something). at least, I hope they are.

weird. i got the M&M vf22s and I have no problem getting them back in fighter-modes. i had an issue with Milia swinging her left-leg out in battroid-mode, tho. maybe we just need some "upgrade-parts" for them instead of a full version-2? i think we all know that the yf-21 does not need that useless humongous box that adds to the shipping-weight/cost or something since it doesn't come with the stand anymore. -

I don't think I can classify Basara as a "Bro" given that he's very "safe" and I don't think I can handle being blueballing myself like he can when it comes to hot and eager girls like Rex. Besides, as much as a stud Isamu is, we all know he didn't mess around with a girl that's sorta/kinda/prolly-not-really involved with someone, especially if that someone is a mutual friend.

LOL! I ain't getting my gf even near Isamu in the first place. However, I might have my gf hang out with Basara coz, you know, he's really safe with the ladies no matter how hot and eager the ladies would be.

Isamu's just more likable than him because Isamu's more studly and gets laid with the ladies. I dunno about that. But if it floats your boat... I'm saying Isamu's more likable than Basara.

I reckon Hikaru just didn't have time and gotten more administration responsibilities after the battle of a sudden. historically, we know Hikaru's all mopey of a 16yo kid and he at least wanted to peek, so we can still forgive him and such. He did explicitly got laid in DYRL. in contrast, Basara's like how old again? he was not responsible for much of anything relating to colony administration. I think Basara had more time and more girls chasing him for being the firebomber diva, while Hikaru was only trying to chase the idol Minmay.

not about being friends or whatever, but more like, how many episodes and movies of M7 and still didn't get any amongst all those pretties? that's just really weird.
