go do some of your own research, then. that said, maybe you should provide some rebuttal on the heroic listings I'd made and/or try to paint Basara as a heroic figure instead?
-
:sigh: not all kamikaze pilots died in ww2, you know...
-
No. Like I said, you do not know what you're talking about.
-
are you that dense to be aware or know of the context in how I used it in my listing of the heroic acts?
-
with a definitive purpose...
-
I do not think you know what you're talking about.

:sigh: Maybe you should rewatch it and find out who actually was protecting Mylene in ep28. That said, not even sure why you're putting that type of "rescue" with the other known Macross-rescues. It was neither heroic nor intense like the other Macross-rescues. That kind of "rescuing" from M7 is just too juvenile to even consider. I mean, you know, Alto's rescue of Ranka in ep1 was just many many many much much much more awesome sauce in comparison. and i'm way way too neutral/borderline-dislike on both Alto and Frontier. well, you should find out. maybe it's just not out in Japan, yet, but I don't think it's geoblocked. bonus: I tell you what. Basara got nothing against this fave circle-glasses-wearing extreme-peacenik character of mine. and he's not even a pony...:

As I've listed, to be a Macross hero, the lead dude is supposed to rescue the maiden (Minmay/Misa/Sara/Ishtar/Myung) or destroy the enemy (Bodolza, Sharon) via kamikaze. Basara doesn't really do any of that. His repeated interjection are not even heroic in nature or definition. It's just selfish indulgence. Even with the battles in M7 that are all pretty much comically animated and choreographed in looping recycled stock-footages. In the end, what he does in M7 are all stuff designed to appeal to useless shenanigans. Twilight Sparkle and Pinky Pie and the rest of MLP:FIM crew does a much much better job of doing that and they're all ponies.

roflmao! those were really funny stuff. until you blind yourself with your Basara-love. If you really wanna be serious about the hero-thing, tho, here's how you should do it: Hikaru (TV): kamikaze rescue of Misa in Alaska Base. Hikaru (DYRL): kamikaze assassination of Bodolza. Hibiki (II): kamikaze rescue (or kidnapping) of Ishtar. then Sylvie kamikaze rescues him. Oy, Vey! Isamu (Plus tv/movie): kamikaze death-dive to destroy Sharon. Shin: Kamikaze death-dive to spring Sara. vs Basara: Whale Bukake so, you know, there's that kamikaze-pattern among the lead-dudes of Macross-franchise. except for Basara. As to why I didn't include Alto. well, I got way too bored watching Frontier that I actually thought Basara was alot more interesting than him and the stupid shipping-wars by the Frontier-fans. ;

i think M7 anime is very awesome. for a 10-year-old kid. and/or somebody with a 10-year-old-kid mindset. or something... oh, and I think Sivil's really a trap.

uhhm, how exactly do you think bootlegs are made of??? that said, you can prolly get better macross-art on your own to silkscreen your own "basement-dvd". better quality translations, too. unless, of course, you and your friends are so much into spending/buying hk-engrish bootlegs...

The Transformers 3 Thread--A Michael Bay Thread
treatment replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
crap! posted in the wrong tf-thread. ; anyway, hopefully i get my TF3-order (bd/dvd edition) delivered tomorrow, even tho it's slated for monday. really thought i should've just went out and bought it locally today. for $2 less... -
I don't see where my reply was in anyway unclear or difficult to understand, but let's try it this way: All official DYRL dvd editions (both remastered and not-remastered) are only playable by Region-2 dvd-players. The only dvd that will play on US-players are bootlegs of the fansubs.
-
"Fleet" is nice. Too bad it's not canon anymore.
-
No. Only Region-2. I think it'll be easier for you to just get the fansub of the remastered-edition. It's still out and about.
-
lol! The only time Basara had some "cummin'" for him was when the space whale went bukake on his VF-19...
-
that's nice and all, but what's taking you so long to decide? are you really buying one or are you just trolling us? regardless, we are expecting that you are going to post pics of whichever you bought.
-
Yeah. Isamu luvs the boobies. There is no doubt. In contrast, Basara loves...something hard and something long. He loves playing with it, too. Alot. Basara also loves screaming. in a very girly-scream manner. Alot.

The Hikky-1S with the Strike-FP, imo. but if you must have the 1J, oughta get the Grey-visor edition instead of the regular white-visor edition. coz the grey-visor is just much kewler. especially with the GBP. edit: hah! see eugimon's GBP-pic above.

is the MP-10 trailer compatible with the MP-1? obtw, i've been seeing lots of Generations series-4 at wally's lately. well, except for Warpath.

It's all about Ishtar to me. She's still the top Macross-Babe for me.
-
that is just completely utter nonsense. I think some member(s) here bought the old International Version, but I always thought they were the same Animaze-dub that MangaEnt used in the R1.

I luv the Blade Runner collector's edition and I reckon that's how releases should be. That edition contains all the known official versions of the film. However, it seems like it's the biggest exception to this issue. Not really sure why Lucas don't want to include the theatrical originals (at very least, the original trilogy), alongside his new-and-improved versions. I mean, it prolly will give him even more profits and very much less rage directed at him and his shenanigans.
