  1. I bought the english version for the PC via Playism. It's a fine shooter.
  2. Delta is a fine game, and I bet you'd like R-Type Final as well. To this day I'm still trying to collect all the R fighters for that game.
  3. That's ridiculous. Jeebus, I didn't know about it being OOP. I really should have got one when I had the chance. That would be one expensive custom bash, but I do see the similarities.
  4. That is some stoopid money. Shifting gears; now I like playing with my toys, but this dude takes it to another level: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=8LHWPvwD8Xk Probably the best Maketoys commercial I have ever seen.
  5. They are really milking MP-08 for what it's worth aren't they? If you really want something for Grimmy to sit on, just pose MP-01 on his hands and knees.
  6. How on earth does MW not have a thread for this show? Well at least I couldn't find it. If I'm wrong, mods please kindly correct my mistake. This show was one of the titles AnimEigo brought over during the late 80's that helped solidify the notion that mecha is cool. Truth be told, I've forgotten a lot regarding this show ever since our VCR turned to junk many years ago and I really should track a DVD down. BUT what do I remember is that bad ass hand drawn masterpiece that was its introduction, which made a younger version of myself believe the Madox-01 can actually be made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=N7T-6ThKoJ0 The Madox is one of Shinji Aramaki's classic designs, and merchandising for the show is next to nil. Back then finding models of the Madox was an ordeal, and even more so now. As far as I know, only garage kits have been made sporadically available and recasts are just as hard to find. Anyways, classic mecha design doesn't die. It just gets remembered later on by some dude in his 30's who detonated a nostalgia bomb while digging out his nerd stash in the garage when he should've have been out mowing the lawn on hot ass Saturday afternoon. I digress, check out this fanbuilt Madox with some impressive rendering: 1/35 scale Madox
  7. I just saw the official pics at TFW. Arcee looks decent enough, but that Leader Megs looks killer in both modes. Brainstorm was a surprise, and he doesn't look too bad either.
  8. Some enticing Generations news from Botcon: Arcee is her G1 self, a Leader class Megatron that looks like his G1 form but turns into a tank (ala Legends videogame), and combiner Superion! Well, that's all I found enticing so far...
  9. Was it tweaked to make Wave Rider mode more appealing? It's lankier proportions does make it look quite odd.
  10. Nothing will beat the glory days of the local Golfland where SF tournaments were a common occurence, and where Capcom would test and showcase their latest offerings. Back then you would've found me at a SF Alpha cabinet or testing my mettle inside a Virtual On machine.
  11. The renders for that Sunstreaker look promising, which is great because I have a gut feeling that Takara will not be making a MP version. I wonder if it's the same one that Kurisama teased us with in the TF thread?
  12. It's a little odd to hear Volbeat crank out a poppy song like this, but I still dig it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=CJ48WX9z90A On the other end of the spectrum you got this: Regardless, these guys rock, and if you get a chance to see them live, do it!
  13. Doraemon combiner? That's hilariously awesome. But c'mon Bandai, do a SOC Mekanda already.
  14. Dang, the pre-order price for Maketoys' Metroplex/Utopia is $400 . Well, at least at BBTS, but I reckon that'll be a good ballpark figure for it everywhere else. I skipped on Hastak's Metroplex, and I think I'll be skipping on this one too no matter how awesome it is.
  15. A very considerate loved one recently gifted me with a MG Sinanju! Bad news is that it's the titanium coated version. Now I was never a fan of "special" coatings on any of my kits with all the unsightly nub marks and the mismatch of sheen and unpainted plastic, but heck-free Sinanju, right? I have to admit that after looking over the sprues, the red finish does look glorious. I'm now committed to make this kit look presentable despite the looming difficulty of all the gold trim involved. I've seen a few other builds where MG Sinanjus were blinged out with metal verniers and other parts from "detail-up" add-on kits. Has anyone here had experience with these add-ons? I see several out on Ebay now and am considering getting one.
  16. Heck yeah. Most of the time the big red button for the special punches was not working or just gone. I never did see a cabinet for the sequel though. That looks like a good time right there. Homebrew Dreamcast game-awesome.
  17. I never thought an official Nightingale would be made, and in MG form no less. Preordered!
  18. Soul Spec did great things for Dragonar as well. And I too would be in line for a Zakaal!
  19. I wouldn't go so far as to say Hasbro stuff is crappy, but I think Mania King will surprise you. Despite the non-articulated wrists, Mania King makes a great Galvatron. It looks real nice with Classics Cyclonus and Scourge to boot.
  20. I knew we had a Lazyner thread around here somewhere. Anyways, the upcoming Bandai Soul Spec Layner Mk.II looks pretty dope. Unfortunately, it's also a Tamashii Web exclusive.
