  1. The DX release comes with the same holsters they're just in brown and not white.
  2. Mezco Punisher "classic" color went up for pre-order today, limited to 400, only sold on Mezco's site, sold out within 2 minutes. How stupid is that? it's a cool variant, I may have considered it, but just like that it's gone. Mezco didn't even announce WHEN it would go up for pre-order, it just kind of did and anyone lucky enough to notice snagged one. http://www.mezcotoyz.com/item/76352/one-12-collective-classic-punisher/1.html
  3. I'm pretty sure he means the DX version, unless he's waiting on Mezco to announce some other variant that hasn't been shown off yet. The DX version is the one I have on pre-order, and I NEED it.
  4. Ditto on being a bit baffled by that Wolverine, where the hell did the little shorts come from? Punisher and DD look great, my DD is paid off now I'm just waiting on a payment request for my Punisher DX. It seems Punisher is getting near universal appraise, Mezco done good on him, I picture him selling out and being one of the harder to get a hold of figures. My Green Arrow is paid off too, I'm a HUGE fan of the Emerald Archer, more so then Batman or any other DC hero, so I'm very excited for him. Arsenal is on pre-order, can't have Ollie without his partner.
  5. Not true, I paid for frakking EMS and my piece of crap is still sitting at Prep in Progress. It's been nearly a month at that status, this is bullshit.
  6. This. Even at his most exaggerated, and in the samples F_M provided, he's still pretty small by comic book standards. MCU may at times attempt to be grounded in realism, but it's still at its heart a very ridiculous comic book world, complete with norse aliens, super soldier serums, and alien-made anthropomorphic animal creatures. Should he have added a bit of muscle? Eh, maybe, not really necessary in my opinion. As mentioned skill and ability doesn't always translate to actual physicality and size, I think his body shape and build are pretty perfect for the absurdly fast martial artist. At the end of the day his hook is his powers, which aren't affected by his size or build, so the body thing doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'd even argue having him smaller lends more to realism, and the overall impact of his powers. Here's this relatively tiny guy that is lightning fast, and packs a punch that you absolutely wouldn't believe. Bulking up wouldn't help him much, his physical strength will never be as important as his raw skill, and his powers work either way. He's buff and exaggerated in comics because they're comics, EVERYONE needs to be bulked up and exaggerated to some silly degree. This is a real person now, having a toned six pack of abs will suffice for me. I think the contrast between Iron Fist and Luke Cage needs to be more prevalent in live action, having him smaller will look better next to Luke Cage, who can't be absurd comic book large, just real world large.
  7. I'm not understanding, is everyone new to Iron Fist? He's never been large and physically intimidating like his better half Luke Cage, his fighting skills and powers make him more then formidable enough.
  8. That Popeye is the stuff of nightmares, holy crap that's creepy.
  9. Loved the first one to death, can't wait for the sequel! Gypsy 2.0 looks awesome, and yes, much more anime inspired, which I'm fine with.
  10. Yes, finally, after all these years, the end to Genndy's greatest work. I have to say, this looks far more violent then I expected. I remember reading this last season would be amped up a bit, but damn, it's looking dark, and I like it. Such a shame about Mako Iwamatsu, such an incredible voice, Aku, Uncle Iroh, he was even a narrator way back on Dexter's Lab, may he RIP, he will be missed. I'm sure we'll see Aku in some form, and I'll be thinking of Mako as soon as he makes his appearance.
  11. This. Last year we had Deadpool, maybe next year Deadpool 2? Either way I'm loving this trend of getting a spectacularly awesome and violent film right at Valentines Day.
  12. Had this guy delivered two-day, more then I should have paid, but I was always a fan of Gears in the original G1 cartoon. I think Badcube pretty much nailed this guy, he's not perfect, but he's about as G1 Gears as you can get. The transformation is a bit rough in the front end but the end results are great, clean bot mode with a spot on silhouette, and a perfectly chibi little random non-decript bright red and blue truck. I'm just three bots away from my goal of having the original G1 cartoon Arc crew in Masterpiece form, I'm so close!
  13. What really? I guess that shows what I know about Mazinger and Mazinger figures, which admittedly isn't much, I've never liked the series or designs. So is GX-70 roughly standard Chogokin height? 10-11" or so? I just figured Devilman was standard Figuarts roughly 6" scale. Is Devilman a giant Figuarts? I know his box is bigger and flashier but I didn't know he was bigger, I knew he was to scale with that particular DC Mazinger, I just though they were both about 6". Interesting. So ignore me Slave IV, I know not which I post about .
  14. No that looks like the Super Robot Chogokin, not Chogokin. Scales with Figuarts, roughly 6".
  15. Spider Tank? Oh you must mean the Tachikoma . Yes indeed, good to see them finally, it wouldn't be GIS without them.
  16. Man, those 1/6 kit troopers look like anorexic bobble heads, no offense to those into them.
  17. Eh, I can't recommend them at all. Prices continue to climb, and yet design and QC is still pretty piss poor. There are some good releases, but they are extremely few and far between. It seems most releases are either good, bad, or awful, there's no real in between. Odd joint choices, limited articulation due to sculpt, bad paint, QC issues, faces and finished products not resembling promo and marketing shots, breaks out of the box, broken wrist joints, ugly and very visible joints, did I mention the prices being absurd? They have some cool designs, but the only other toy company I've ever been more dissatisfied with would be Mafex, but they are both pretty terrible lines in my opinion either way. So no, I wouldn't recommend spending the insane asking prices on one of their figures, if something sheers off or breaks out of the box you'll be kicking yourself.
  18. So is Hawkeye coming out or not? I've had a prep in progress status at NY since January 26, and he still hasn't shipped or moved since then. Also, this is exciting. http://news.toyark.com/2017/02/02/tamashii-nations-announces-sh-figuarts-spider-man-homecoming-238100 Spider-Man Homecoming Figuarts! I guess they're skipping the Civil War version, which is fine, his suit is pretty much identical anyway. Though I'm getting a bit worried we may not get anything else in the Civil War line, it's looking skimp, where's my Winter Soldier and Falcon? Oh and for anyone that cares and likes throwing money away, Mafex also announced their Homecoming Spidey figure, it will be floppy, have lots of accessories, and fall apart.
  19. Exactly what Cowboy17 said. The US release Bluefin versions come with an extra sleeve that says Voltron over the original Golion box. The box underneath is the same as the Japanese release, it's literally just a nice sleeve that says Voltron on the front and has the back info in english.
  20. I'm on my third run already going for a time completion weapon unlock. I'd personally recommend normal not easy, easy is a bit too easy, there's far less monsters and there's quite a bit more ammo and health items. The game can be challenging in the early hours, but once you've figured things out and gotten out of the purposeful no weapon intro things feel much more like a classic Resident Evil title. I personally love this game to death and feel it is the game the franchise desperately needed. I really can't recommend it enough, the story is more centralized and not as stupid and large scale like previous games, ammo and item conservation is key, puzzles are back, and the atmosphere is very creepy and intense. I wouldn't call the game difficult as I would call it classic Resident Evil. Without spoiling things, there are several Nemesis like enemies that can't be killed, they must be dropped temporarily with ammo or outrun and avoided, this is the classic flight or fight gameplay of early RE titles. I've seen many complain puzzles aren't as difficult either, and I can agree to a degree, the previous games had puzzles where you could sit and think, piece things together and really take time on more challenging brain teasers, in REVII the puzzles are a bit easier but the balance is that once again you must juggle several enemies that can appear at any time and make what would be an easy task a much more tense and frightening encounter. There are so many excellence little moments that happen, I go over encounters and areas with a friend who is also playing just to compare how their encounter differed, it's great. Saving and safe rooms are plentiful and give you plenty of breathing room, so I wouldn't be deterred by the challenge, the game is great and very intense, I'd say go for it and grab a copy.
  21. I LOVE my Downbeat/Jazz. I will admit I think Toyworld Coolsville has the cleaner alt/vehicle mode, but Downbeat smothers the bot mode in the crib, it's pretty much perfect. There were no changes made to the rear bumper on Downbeat, it is what it is, it's my only real slight nit-pick. I don't think it's too noticeable, the whole back end is pretty small and compacted so it's really just the two little leg covers pieces that look egregious. Still the best Jazz you can buy in my opinion.
  22. Well look who finally showed up... I also got some other goodies. Figuarts Ninja Turtles complete! Now I just need Shredder and at minimum four Foot Clan soldiers. The Rogue One Stormtroopers are the figures we should have gotten when the original versions released along with Vader when the line started, these guys are great, the double jointed knees and extending thighs are perfect. My whole MP Transformers collection is official Takara MP and third party, but there was no way I was buying Takara Soundwave and then the tapes all separate, this Hasbro Asia release comes with all his minions in one box like the Hasbro US release. And lastly I've been dying to get my hands on Downbeat, aka my MP Jazz! He's pretty damn beautiful in both modes, and quite hefty, the legs got tricky for a moment but this thing is nearly perfect. Once again, I'll give Takara's a look when they announce it, but they've got a steep hill to climb to rival this guy.
  23. My Downbeat got delivered to work today along with a bunch of other goodies from BBTS! I messed around with him for a bit, his alt mode is beautiful! The white is really pristine so all of the other markings and paint on it really pop! I haven't had a chance to transform him but damn, once again, this thing screams MP Jazz!
  24. Yup got mine too, very excited. Now, after several years, I can finally finish the FIRST Avengers team as Figuarts, better late then never I guess.
  25. Meh. I like Bobby and his reviews, but he also blatantly missed the extension in the elbows. I feel he glosses over reviews far too often, and doesn't familiarize himself with at least the instructions beforehand. I gotta disagree hard on the range of motion and articulation, I think Bandai went above and beyond as far as engineering goes. This guy has joints on extensions on joints, he's insanely articulated for such an old boxy design, far more then I expected to be honest.
