Getting close now....I could go on to "ultra detailing mode", tiny "=" sign decals I custom made for my FM's and adding tiny styrene bits here and there and so on, but I consulted with the owner today and budget is dictating I wrap this up sooner than later..

Thanks guys, I knew going in the 171's were kinda iffy, but as stated above, it's not a huge problem, the slightly more annoying thing is that the larger peg on the same wing is super loose as well and comes out way to easy. Oh well, still a great looking Valk in fighter, if I'm ever brave enough to try and get it back to fighter....

Weeeellll... I picked this up the other day, brand new still in box, I guess it was only a matter of time till I got "Bandai-ed".. one of the small plastic round pins that hold the wing in place just literally fell off, broken in half. Most likely a bad assembly at the factory, or just sh*t plastic. I must say... this will be my only 171. Good god the transformation is a bear! Can't wait to have to go back to fighter. Thank goodness for Collection DX videos.

I'm really glad I was 100% in the game in the golden days of Yamato. Every ver2 VF-1 I have minus the Super Ostrich and the rare brown VF-1J Commander type I got for retail or on good holiday sale back then. I keep a spreadsheet of what I pay for my collection and I couldn't imagine trying to get what I have after Yamato folded. I really feel for the guys who had to start late!

Well, I successfully got the the old bucket of bolts back together today and got all the rest of the resin add on parts on...now it's time for the fun stuff! Weathering and detailing start tomorrow! Already made some custom piping which I think adds a lot!

Oddly, this is the one 29 out of the bunch I don't and have never wanted. I have all the others and they are great! To much red on this on or something I guess. Easy pass for me.

I don't know what the actual resolution is of the screen on my phone. Settings doesn't say. It's the Samsung Galaxy S6, so whatever that is. Your pics always size perfectly, I just save them to the gallery! (Not so much on Ipad, but that's a stupid Apple thing)

Got a chance to panel line and sticker up my VT-1. I had forgotten the premium Yamato releases came with better sticker sheets where you did not have to painstakingly trim all the stickers before you put them on to make them look good, so this one didn't take me very long at all.
