  1. If that Iron Mask movie is a comedy it might be worth a rental - if it is supposed to be an action movie I'll pass.
  2. Like I said before - all the matters is what the suit (or Batmobile) looks like.
  3. My wife and I both loved Grand Budapest so I'm in.
  4. Same thing happened to Enterprise. The whole first season was supposed to be strictly on Earth with the Enterprise being finished at the end of the season. I'm not sure either show would have worked as originally conceived though. Voyager was trying to be what Galactica ended up being but that just didn't fit in Star Trek at the time - the reception for Discovery shows it still is not generally accepted.
  5. That is a a perfect summation of what went wrong with 2202.
  6. I find the two seem to go together for often then not.
  7. I wrote this a couple years ago but it is still true so... "It is hard to keep track of the Live Action Robotech "Directors" a they go by"
  8. I forgot all about Black Sheep Squadron. Now that you mention it I do remember him in that as well.
  9. https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/08/entertainment/robert-conrad-obit-trnd/index.html I really liked "The Wild Wild West". Though it is the only character I remember him as.
  10. Queue up that conversation between Kirk and Spock in "The Voyage Home"...
  11. I don't see the writer having any listing with 2199, only 2202. That makes me nervous.
  12. > The Mars forces defeat the Invid by blasting Crab Rave at them and they all start dancing. There were two great versions of this already. Zoidberg doing the dance of peace and kinda sorta related this video of a crab with a knife. So don't knock it without seeing how it goes (and then most likely knock it...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WXRN1thFr8
  13. Drifting Dragons has a "Valley of the Wind" asthetic (or at least look). Hopefully that one is good.
  14. If it is the RT Tactics minis you are talking about then you have more dedication then you know.
  15. Right on! Where is Rock Hudson when you need him? Or is that not what you meant?
  16. Just finished watching 2202 and yup - they blew it big time. All the major changes they made were for the worse and for anyone who has not seen it they made MANY more changes in 2202 compared to the changes they made in 2199. They took all the best parts and messed them up, fleets appear and disappear with no emotional impact of any kind (and often with no logic) and the physical changes done to Gatlantis were an abomination. Don't get me started on that ending...
  17. A couple of kids (adults now) redid the film in stop motion and Disney gave the OK to release it on youtube. It is pretty good.
  18. At least the Banana Splits movie was straight to video. Seeing this does give me an idea though "Scooby Doo on Fantasy Island".
  19. 2049 was a decent movie and I guess managed to make a slim profit but I'd be really surprised if there is any kind of follow up to it. At least not for a long time and not with the same director.
  20. I'll give it a watch. The only problem I have is the ultra close-ups on the action sequences. I'm getting old and I don't like them. Just cause you can do a thing doesn't mean you should.
  21. The "Kirk Speech" is not know for it's non-preachy message. And I'm sure anyone on the opposite side of the message of the week from TOS found it insulting.
  22. Well, we have a really nice Dana and battle armor figure coming from the other manufacturer so hell already seems to be chilly... Aren't the Masters Saga mecha smaller though? Or is that the Invid? They would be maybe a half inch high if done to 1/285 scale?
  23. You took off those Rose Tinted glasses eh? Willow had promise but it was not a good movie overall.
  24. I agree with some (Gene was human and certainly did not live up to the ideals of ST that he espoused) but TOS a terrible show? Thems fighting words.
