It is a somewhat bad edit but his saber should be nowhere near since he just did a strong swing in the opposite direction.

It wasn't a glancing blow, direct hit that would have killed him without the armor. On the should but at an angle that would have cut inward. The 5:28 mark on this video is a good spot. It would have been off with his head...

Don't forget that Vader's armor took a direct hit from Luke's lightsaber.

I got an idea! Maybe the Slitheen from Doctor Who could be the aliens. That talk about the skin not fitting right gave me the idea. It would also allow them to include lots of fart jokes and everyone loves fart jokes. OK, I have to admit I most likely will not be seeing this till it comes out on video and most likely not even then. If they ever remake the Smog Monster I'm going to have my keester in the theater for that one though!

Well, if MechaG shows up the "Aliens Wearing Sunglasses" gang has to show up too or I'll be disappointed.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Dynaman replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Strike Witches - I only watched the first episode and felt like a pervert for doing so. Too bad since the actual story seemed like it would be interesting. -
The details, it's all in the details. What we did NOT know before the prequels is that Vader was a Whiny little shi... And the even ruined Vader proper with that NO.........

Which is what they had to do in the original. The physics of Kong and Godzilla are fantasy at best as well so any assumption goes. Neither one could physically exist strictly based on physical laws as we know them.

I don't know where the line for derivative works actually falls but I know it is a far far way from 3PO's red arm. I'm guessing none of the examples listed counts since they are clear derivatives of older designs.

You were always in for a treat with him on the screen - even if it were a crummy movie. RIP

I've seen plenty of nice things written about the RPG Tactics game and the end result of the minis once assembled - assembly was a PITA though. The fact that the other promised kickstarter items are vaporware did not go over well however.

Quoted for truth. Lucas got away with it in the original Trilogy since nobody knew it would become a trilogy. When Disney KNEW they were commissioning a trilogy somebody should have plotted out the major bits of the entire thing before a single frame of film was shot.- 326 replies

correct - It was not the adoptive mom she was talking about remembering. My problem from the brief skimming of the upcoming stories is that is sounds like they are not going to enforce continuity. That was the biggest problem with the sequels and they should have learned a lesson.- 326 replies

> As of last nights episode they're down to spears, knifes and what looks like Roman Army shields and a shotgun or two. When Fighting Zombies that works pretty well. Little noise and if you do it right they can't reach you. A Roman Phalanx would be perfect. Or one of the medieval equivalents.

Alexandria isn't the problem, the writing was the problem. I dropped it the season Negan showed up. The Plot stupidity was unbearable by then. When the characters KNOW there is an enemy out there watching them they all decide to wander off on their own.
