  1. So no changes then. They are the ones with movie money and the urge to spend it. Old codgers like me - not so much.
  2. But there is a new Sideshow Bob in town. MiniBob?
  3. He got far worse the older he became. My personal opinion, with nothing but the public record to go by, is that he thought of Star Trek as a salve for his own failings. TNG preached the hippy dippy way to an extreme that TOS never did, at least till Gene passed away.
  4. One more episode left for the season and so far it has been excellent - and next week's finale is looking excellent as well. A massive turn around from last season, probably the best in the last few seasons. Though Capaldie's episode locked in the confession dial is one of the best episodes of the entire show.
  5. Only for the first episode. The second is titled Earthrise so...
  6. The posts above this one were about the 2016ish movie. I didn't go to the top of the thread to check. Looks like it became a bit of everything.
  7. Shouldn't this go in that other Ghostbusters discussion? Those toys have nothing to do with this movie.
  8. No - and I don't think I will if anyone does not say that the post I was quoting is inaccurate.
  9. I just posted over on another thread about the writing of that show matching the horrible writing on this show (years ago when I stopped watching it religiously to not at all). Is anyone still watching the show? No comments since a little over a year ago...
  10. Sounds like "The Walking Dead" writers were working on the show.
  11. Why not? It seems like they threw in everything else.
  12. I don't know if Arnold is 6'2" but Bill Paxton did learn that messing with a naked muscle man is not a good idea. So chalk one up to the Terminator movies.
  13. I've also heard from a lot of martial artists - don't go up against a person with a knife with your bare hands unless you absolutely have to. Movies are not reality and anyone thinking they can learn from them is seriously mistaken. Boys, Girls, Men, Women all included. To pick out any particular film these days where Superhero heroics are required even for James Bond (jumping around like Mario in Casino Royale for instance) is silly. EDIT - it is far more fun to pick out the ones that DON'T overdo it these days.
  14. OK, now I have to post GIFs...
  15. The only one I really liked from the original was "Family Dog".
  16. If that Iron Mask movie is a comedy it might be worth a rental - if it is supposed to be an action movie I'll pass.
  17. Like I said before - all the matters is what the suit (or Batmobile) looks like.
  18. My wife and I both loved Grand Budapest so I'm in.
  19. Same thing happened to Enterprise. The whole first season was supposed to be strictly on Earth with the Enterprise being finished at the end of the season. I'm not sure either show would have worked as originally conceived though. Voyager was trying to be what Galactica ended up being but that just didn't fit in Star Trek at the time - the reception for Discovery shows it still is not generally accepted.
  20. That is a a perfect summation of what went wrong with 2202.
  21. I find the two seem to go together for often then not.
