  2. I totally get what you’re saying. A lot of bad movies from the 80’s and early 90’s actually look amazing and just blow away modern overly cg films. The angles and overall looks are still amazing and make watching older bad movies fun. Nowadays a bad movie comes out like the second Black Panther and I’ll never rewatch it because the movie had nothing going for it, not even visually. Although I have rewatched Highlander 2 several times and even though it’s bad, I still enjoy it
  3. The felt rubbed off of mine and had odd plastic bald spots. Oddly I think the plastic was the same color as the felt that was glued on top. As far as Robotech, that was something I thought a lot about when Independence Day was in theaters, but the more I’ve thought about it over the years the more I know they will just ruin it. It won’t have the heart and probably will look more like bayformers. They may as well just do a generic mecha movie instead. Kinda the same problem for Voltron. i still think there’s hope for Thundercats though. I think this would be a fairly easy one to do since most of the cast still look 90% human, and it’s a cool basic hero family story, just give it a little love and I think it could be an easy win.
  4. I believe Sega's Orguss (for the SG-1000) beats it to that historical footnote by a couple of months, though that wouldn't change that Formation Z is kinda just really bad.
  5. Well… not if his wife is that Tifa doll. WAIFUUUUUU! XD
  6. Some more pics of the 1D fighter. wasn’t sure if they were posted yet because I was too lazy to go back more than a couple pages.
  7. Today
  8. Actually that description sounds pretty close to a rom com star. They’re always traumatized and kinda a total 💩head moody and socially withdrawn til they meet their special someone that’s supposed to turn things around. That’s all kinda the basic formula
  9. Galaxy Rangers definitely! Though I would love to see it as a series. It has an underlying story dealing with the main guy's wife and possible invasion, but a lot of other stories to keep things varied. I think the closest to it would be Space Rangers from 1993. Another would be Bionic Six. And Macross would be a dream to see!
  10. As a rule most Macross video games outright suck, are piss poor minimal effort cash grabs, or are mediocre/forgettable and more designed to sell records of who ever Big West's music arm is trying to push at any given moment. There's a reason why the best Macross games are either not actually Macross or haven't been made since the 16 bit days.
  11. Well, I wish Shooting Insight had that feature, or was similar to the ones we had on PSP. The game is cool, but it gives a feeling that it's not what I expected from a game in the franchise
  12. Dragon Ball Super - Dragon Battle Pack - Golden Freiza and Super Saiyan Blue Goku 6.5" Action Figures x 3
  13. Through the research I did for my Heavy Metal Heroes mecha in video games panel years ago and from a historical standpoint Formation Z was the first mecha video game to feature transformable mecha that let the player control the transformation. This predates Thexder and the first Macross game to allow player controlled transformations by a year.
  14. I'd say look for lower latency or even pay more if performance matters. But choices suck now anyways. I would probably holding off on building a new PC till this bullshit sorts itself out, hopefully.
  15. You say that like there's better price/performance choice out there...😒 That kit is nearly 1/2 the cost of that bundle on its own. *Looks at current price of CL28 32GB DDR5 kit* 😱😭
  16. We can hope it's good. I mean, if it's good it won't be very much like Formation Z, but at least it will have a reason to exist.
  17. The latency on that RAM is 36, yikes. I would try to look elsewhere if that is at all possible. The 32Gb of RAM I bought last year was 28 latency. The lower latency the better, which is typically 30 or less for gaming.
  18. There's plenty of reasons to hate Highlander 2. But I recommend watching it again. Not for the story or for some of the acting choices. Watch it for the production design and cinematography it looks so much better than what today's films look like. For the scenes where they had money to spend Highlander 2 looks way too good for such a bad movie.
  19. i saw some reviews of the new intel chips for laptops, pretty good upgrade, igpu and battery life. just saw this and thought there's RAM in the deal:
  20. You know... it's kinda unfair that Hollywood refuses to look at other great 1980s cartoons to make movies out of while we continue to get rehashes of The Smurfs, TMNT, Inspector Gadget, He-Man, GI Joe, The Transformers, etc. My top picks that Hollywood is missing out on are: The Galaxy Rangers Thundercats Voltron Robotech (duh!!)
  21. Maybe a comic relief secondary character, not a main. Gundam protagonists only really come in a couple flavors: Moody and socially-withdrawn teenager with parental abandonment issues (Amuro, Camille, Banagher, Judau, Uso) Pre-traumatized PTSD enjoyer (Shiro, Domon, Shinn, Seabook, Garrod, Loran, Hathaway, Jona, Suletta) Emotionally dead PTSD donor (Heero, Setsuna, Mikazuki) Doing fine until fate slapped their head and said "This bad boy can fit SO MUCH trauma" (Al, Kou, Kira, Oliver, Bellri) Complete and Utter Sh*thead (Io, Advent Casval, Iria, Machu) Not really a lot of call for comedy there... unless you're Judau.
