  2. Funny you should mention that. 😉 When I started working on the Al Shahal map, I made this variant to go along with it, though I quickly dropped it since the local NUNS are probably too poor to afford it. I then switched it to a "Royal Guard" scheme as a private unit for a rich local family.

  5. And we seem to have a new Scopedog coming in from Bandai, not sure if it's a rerelease yet!? But apparently it has more metal in the feat so you can do new posses!? Honestly it looks like the first release but with less accessories.... no red shoulder etc. Google translated text... "Scope Dog" from "Armored Trooper Votoms" is now available as part of the "HI-METAL R" action figure series. While retaining its excellent mobility and gimmicks, it has a new look with die-cast joints and plating that emphasizes the metallic feel. Equipped with "arm punch" extension, "turn pick" extension, "turret lens" rotation, and visor opening and closing gimmicks. The included "heavy machine gun" can be changed to a short barrel state by replacing the barrel. In addition, a movable "Kiriko" action figure is included, allowing you to recreate landing poses and pilot boarding scenes. You can fully enjoy the "charm of life-size weapons" expressed throughout the series. BANDAI SPIRITS has announced that it will be releasing a figure called "HI-METAL R Scope Dog." It is scheduled to be released in February 2026, and will be priced at 17,600 yen. This product is based on the Gilgamesh Army's official main AT "Scope Dog" developed by Melkia from the anime "Armored Trooper Votoms." Based on respect for the "HI-METAL" series, this product is a product of the brand "HI-METAL R," which follows the components of "transformation/gimmick" and "composite materials" and renews them with the latest technology to rebuild new products. While retaining the appeal of the finished product "Scope Dog," which allows you to enjoy the landing pose, pilot boarding, and action during battle, it has been commercialized with a new look, such as the use of plating that emphasizes the metallic feel with die-cast joints.
  6. Maybe I'm missing something. It just looked like a bunch of in- and out-of-engine cutscenes...? I'm no FPS player, but isn't BF all about the dynamic emergent gameplay and environmental destruction?
  7. Well my Bloodsucker has lift-off and will arrive Monday! 🤗 Really looking forward to this AT, My first one that isn't a Scopedog... To this I wan't to say that it's great that we finally have a company that is not stuck in a "Doggy Dog World"! 😉 Something that always bothered me with the old Takara or even Yamato was it was only Doggy AT's and nothing else from the series glad that Bandai is really trying to do a good job developing other mech's in a high end series and this Bloodsucker and the FATTY really look great!
  8. Working for me! 🤔

    1/55's revisited

Pretty chequered. Their better products have been manufactured by third parties, where Toynami functions as a brand partner/regional distributor. The homegrown Toynami stuff ranges from "ok" to "disgusting".

    Unix Square VF-1

A company called Unix Square is making Robotech-licensed (I think?) VF-1's with some very very odd proportions and creative liberties. https://www.facebook.com/unixsquare http://www.unixsquare.com/ Just FYI. I don't think it's my cup of tea.
  13. I found an old metal rod strong enough to handle the weight of this behemoth, so I'm considering whether to display "Storm Attacker" in flight... 🤔 I like being able to see the engines: Of course, I'd have to wire them up with lights if they're visible. ☺️ It'll require a big wooden base for support, considering the weight... At least 5kg, in fact. 😰
  14. You seem to like Mr. Hobby products (as do I)... Seeing how much the decals stand out against the surface, I'd recommend applying these: The setter is often unnecessary, but the softer is indispensable.
  15. That listing seems to have disappeared entirely. 🤨

Could be interesting! What is Toynami's quality so far? Hope they make a "D" 🤗
  17. Graphical downgrade (or I should say, a lack of an upgrade) may allow for more players. Updating the BF2042 Frostbite engine would still allow for 128-players. As a BF4 vet, those initial bugs absolutely murdered the game for the 1st 6 months. It literally took a year after release to iron out all the major bugs. My understanding is BF2042 also was a buggy mess at release (versus BF1 and BFV).

    1/55's revisited

I finally completed my collection of 1/55s maybe 2 years ago so I don’t *need* any more 1/55s, but I will def pick up a few of each model just to support the line and Toynami.
  19. And yet, I'm going to wind up buying it for the minicons, aren't I?

    1/55's revisited

The VF-1S has more interpretations than anything...including that 1990 release (ugh!) Here are some other alternatives for comparison. Its fun digging through the HD archives for the old stuff (I actually own that 2001 proto. Its a bit undersized, but still cool) The Barretta still looks awesome over all these years doesn't it? He nailed it. I can't remember if the Antennas could stay on during transformation, they were pretty tall.
  21. That’s an interesting interpretation of the white base coat. I was thinking of going with white from 70’s style fighters. It’s somewhat matte sheen and gets glossier along the surface areas that have the most friction during flight. Thanks for the suggestion.
  22. Preorders are open at pose+ store https://poseplus.net/products/pos-預購-pose-metal-series-機甲創世記-1-28-afc-01h-legioss-eta-pose-metal-series-mospeada-1-28-afc-01h-legioss-eta-副本 $3380 HK-$430 USD They only ship to some countries tho.
