+1. Couldn't bring myself to get the kai even for just $60. VF-2SS at least looks great in all modes with or without the SAP, even if I wouldn’t dare play with it like I would the VF0s.

For a Valkyrie toy that is riddled with Anime magic in order for it to transform, the HMR 2SS is still a must have... warts & all. To see Arcadia or Bandai make a 1/60, that would be a true Holy Grail for me.

The worst for me is the HMR VF-19. Gorilla hands and being ridiculously undersized/underscaled against the HMR VF-1/VF-0/VF-2. Plus the seemingly glued-shut leg missile bays of the VF-19P... edit: Even more confoundingly weird, DYRL Max 1A/1S and DYRL Kaki-1A. Other than the stripes/arrows and Jolly Rogers colors, they're the same frickin' valkyrie as the Hikky-1A! Bandai gotta Bandai...

What's been the worst Hi Metal R Macross release? Maybe the VF-2? Still impressive, that toy really needs a larger scale to pull it off properly.

  7. It's season 4 condensed into a movie. Each villain in that deck of cards would have represented a single episode.
  8. Sadly that is a sign of our own age and coming date with eternal slumber. My mother's generation it was Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable and James Cagney. For the generation after us these actors are our equivalent of Leigh, Gable, and Cagney. I did not know that was Duvall playing the character in Apocalypse Now. Indeed he did make a great impression.

If done well-the caveat- I'd most definitely be down for an SV-51, one of my favorite valks. I wish they'd also do a VF-14, a VF-5000, a Variable Glaug, and a VF-9 Cutlass, just to name a few.
  10. Almost stopped watching this one. Too much cliched 'romance' going on. It was only near the end, when the 'twist' happened, that it actually started to get good. Such as Giamatti's character when he finally drops the campy-villain vibe. I was interested in going onto a derelict ship... As for the Furies... I'd say I hope they are going to get better, but as @Roy Focker stated above, without active feedback, they're are probably not.
  11. Favreau and Filoni turned season 3 into an open-air dumpster fire by indulging in Filoni's favorite obsession with The Lore. You'd best believe that's what you're in for more of, now that Filoni's slipped the leash.

Especially after they also did the defender. That’s almost fifty percent of the Tomahawk

  16. It's certainly curious as Bandai has leveraged other familiar names they've consolidated over the years but Takatoku was a unique case with the bankruptcy and fire sale on the assets and web of related parties laying claim. Would have been way cooler if this was associated with a missing link chunky monkey.

Excellent point! The Tomahawk seems like a much easier release in comparison.
  18. Looks like everything will close up, but not sure about the pilot rising up or not. I bet a video will be coming soon to show the gimmicks
  19. A rescue is ok, but Mando season 3 was the main character constantly getting rescued like a Disney princess
