RIP Poster Master!

Dunno if this is on anyone's radar, but apparently MR got the molds to the old Diamond Select phaser and communicator. Not sure whether it's missing any major functions, but I was not expecting the price to be anything this reasonable, and I just decided to order one on impulse. https://www.masterreplicas.com/collections/star-trek/products/star-trek-phaser-type-2-2266-69

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures

Duel of the Fates (Prequel edition this time). Let it begin again. 👹 -
I wish Moderoid did theirs in 1/72, mostly since the model world usually sticks to that scale, but I am glad that they’ve done so many designs from the series so far.

A lil rough around the edges, but still looks pretty cool. I bet in real life without being able to zoom in that it looks even better

Just needing a top coat and a wash. There are no decals. I rushed this as much as possible and it shows in some areas, but I’m good with it. Lots learned with this one. I know that this is a precursor to F.S.S. MH design ethos so I figure it’s no problem making this look dirty and weathered unlike all the high gloss pristine F.S.S. mecha. 😉

From certain angles, the SV-262 Fighter can look a bit dumpy.. But I love everything else about this design. Keith's Hs still has the better colors overall, but I'm happy Bandai made Bogue's variant. Hopefully Bandai gives us the 262Ba before the release of the next Macross show. If Bandai wants to continue to be lazy the Ba would be a perfect VF for it - just needs light remolds on the wings and head.

Revisited an early build today while waiting for some paint to dry. I think this was my 4th build since starting this hobby? I didn’t know much about panel lining then and still don’t know much about weathering. I decided to add some brown oil wash to it and see what’s up. It sure looks dingy now but I feel like it really brings out all those nice details. Also all the messed up decals and poor seam line removal are all there as a reminder of how I have grown. Baby steps. Here is before taken last year and this is today after the wash

I really don't know why people are so down on it. I liked it better than Fantastic Four or Superman when it comes to movies I've seen this year.

Great looking f-15 J-kai. Luckily the 1/72 stuff is close enough in scale to the 1/60 moderoids so they don't look too out of place next to eachother
-
I see. Thanks for the heads up. The search continues.

Just a word of caution: IKEA discontinued the Detolf, so you’d have to see what other alternatives they have for glass display cases. The biggest drawback is that none of their other offerings really have that unobstructed look that the Detolf has. 🫤

I guess they’re saying it’s the worst performing Leto project. Another Leto letdown at the box office

https://www.google.com/amp/s/baylorlariat.com/2025/10/14/review-end-of-line-tron-ares-may-be-last-in-franchise/%3famp=1 I don't know this source well, but it's known that the film underperformed, and whenever that happens, its future projects are put on hold, or even canceled, like The Quest for Camelot (yes, I'm still sad about its closure). But if that's true, I hope Disney sells the production rights to a company that can treat it better.

RIP Legend of poster art. @TangledThorns he had just one day to finish the poster for "The Thing". Apparently, Robert Rodriguez bought the original painting:

Classics posters that we grew up with. Somehow THE THING poster stands out the most for me as its unlike Drew's other works and keeps the story a paranoid horror mystery.
