  1. Past hour
  2. Guess you never saw that episode of Brickleberry where the park rangers had to rescue the lil bear from the local perv
  3. I was bored with the first couple episodes of the first season and was gonna give it up completely, but one of our cats really loves watching the show. He’s more calm and easy going than most and was born with a bit of a respiratory issue that makes him start hacking if he gets too wild, so he stays calm and takes things easy and I think that something about the mostly slow pace and pretty colors keeps his attention. He will just stare at the screen for whole episodes, so I guess I’m gonna be stuck through more of this show.that’s Mr. Squeaky enjoying his favorite show Frieren on one of his favorite spots that has been ripped to shreds by constant clawing
  4. The only big issue I have with the old show is that there are a few too many clip show episodes. They made the tv series in four batches and each part was a different story arc since they were scare the show would be cancelled they wanted some type of ending with each batch of episodes, but they also put in a clip show or two in each batch to catch people up. Other than that, it was a mid 80’s sunrise show and more coherent of a story than gundam of the time and actually had a very epic storyline that really pushes the imagination. I’d say that if you’re ok with mid 80’s shows then this won’t feel bad at all, the animation is far more consistent than og Macross, but at the same time not as flashy as og Macross could be. Another big bonus to the show is that the main character is a seasoned soldier that has fought in many battles and post war operations and not some kid that has never even driven a car.
  5. I think it's the other side of the coin with this story. Nvidia is shifting supply to the 5060/Ti 8GB models at the expense of the 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB. A 5070 Ti is a cut-down 5080, so why not force buyers to pay the extra $250 for the 5080. If buyers want something better than the 5060, the 5070 (non Ti) is still out there. Asus marking the 5070 Ti as EOL is signalling that they do not expect any inventory any time soon. Nvidia may bring back the 5070 Ti or the 5060 Ti 16GB, but Asus is saying, "Don't bet on it nor us marking more 3rd party cards" If the RTX 6000s come out next year, the 5000 Supers are DOA and Nvidia likely are forecasting that scenario.
  6. Today
  7. I always liked the VOTOMS designs but have not watched the anime since I think it would feel too dated now. I'll have to give this one a watch.
  8. my new laptop is coming in today. going to test it out, if it all works out, run to return the yoga at bestbuy.
  9. Here's a good take on the RAM crisis https://x.com/jatinkrmalik/status/2009689523513618887?s=20https://x.com/jatinkrmalik/status/2009689523513618887?s Or if you need a picture:
  10. Interesting, because an article on the same site suggests Nvidia is killing the 5070ti to focus on 8GB cards... https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-reportedly-shifts-rtx-50-supply-toward-rtx-5060-and-5060-ti-8gb-in-2026
  11. The logos did so tiny! All 1/72nd scale
  12. It's hard to stay ahead of the curve sometimes. Your Macross Zero F-14 looks great @Urashiman
  13. Nah, I'll wait for an actual trailer.
  14. The Holy Grail of Eris was on today. I am not very interested in this show either. I am glad Frieren is back tomorrow. I am so disappointed by this season. Spring seems to be better.
  15. AI isn’t smart or creative enough to have Link do a long-ass monologue using only the horse comforting sounds, grunts, and cooking reaction sounds from BOTW. And seeing Zelda improperly gripping the bowstring and arrow in the preview pic was a clear indication to avoid that video.
  16. This RAM bullshit is going to kill the PC business. Anybody making gaming PC coolers, cases, power supplies, monitors and more must be stressing hard now. Probably affect innovation in all things with PC tech too.
  17. Weathering looks great! Yes, I have 2 of the FineMolds kits and 2 Hasegawas and now I'm going to be collecting the new Tamiyas all of which haven't been built - looks like I may never get to my old Hasegawa. That's the problem falling in love with this plane and not getting around to building them till a better company puts out a better kit to put the older stuff to shame. I even have all the old Verlinden resin upgrades from the 90s - argh, now with the Quinta 3D printed cockpit controls or MCC nozzles and landing gears with hydraulic lines, it just makes the old stuff laughable.
  18. I've seen sloppier AI but its stupid how easy they make it tho.
  19. Getting close to done now. Still have the greebles and landing gear to make, but think it's coming along pretty well. Debating whether to make the rear hatch functional or not. Almost no references for the back of the thing, so I'd have to make it up for the most part, the one scene in the series that shows it doesn't actually match up to the model (Freyja leaps from a very bare bones interior set, her body blocks any view of the shuttle for several seconds, then an out of focus, far off version with no details drifts by in the distance). Also noted that the upper and lower hatches both open out, oddly enough, instead of the more sensible lower becoming a ramp and upper folding inwards like a C-130 hatch. Oh well, worrry about that when I get to it.
  20. The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter dropped a new episode today. So... um... Crunchyroll's list of applicable genres and short description of the series is missing a very critical detail. Their series page lists The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter in the Fantasy, Slice-of-Life, and Romance genres with a 14+ content advisory for "suggestive dialogue". The actual genre this series belongs to is Boys Love, as protagonist Seiichiro found out "the hard way" in this week's episode. 😅 I didn't look the series up on Wikipedia before starting it, and nothing in the entire first episode gives any hint that it's anything other than an isekai fantasy slice-of-life title taking a couple shots at Japan's toxic work culture. The first (and only!) warning of where things were headed was when the protagonist gets sick from drinking too many of the potions that are this world's equivalent of energy shots and, after being rushed away for treatment, [...] Once that's over, it's right back to firing shots across the bow of Japan's office culture like nothing happened with the knight order's doctor being absolutely horrified by Seiichiro's overall poor health, lack of sleep, and atrociously unhealthy vegetables-only diet. The rest of the episode is the knight commander borderline bullying Seiichiro into abandoning a whole array of ingrained toxic corporate culture habits like constant overtime, excessive use of stimulants, skipping meals and poor diet, taking work home after work hours, and so on... which sounds distressingly like a bunch of the conversations I've had to have with contract staffers at my day job. 😕 Still, I'll ship it. Probably the first human kindness that the poor bloke's felt since graduating college and entering the workforce. Honestly, I'm having a real problem writing this because 90% of the turns-of-phrase I want to use to describe how unexpected that was sound like double entendre in context now. 😅 Still an interesting series... the adult content was frankly unnecessary and adds nothing to the story.
  21. You’re welcome!
  22. Oh i didnt know this topic existed. Mines kind of obvious.. its me in approximately 1985 or 1986. With my first real Valkyrie. under the Christmas Tree. I was lucky enough to live in California on Edwards AFB near Palmdale, and there was a little Grocery store called 'Fuji Oriental Market' that also sold .. valkyries? So yea. My parents were awesome. The 'Robo-Strux' behind me was an american rebranding of ZOIDS as well. I cannot tell from the pic but it was either the Pterodactyl or the godzilla one. I got both that year. Of course. The Valkyrie was the star of the show and i still have it.
  23. Be careful with the hands. The tail fin sliced one of my Legioss' thumbs clean off when transforming to fighter mode. And it was easy to do. There's barely enough room inside the forearm, plenty of ways to orient the hand incorrectly, and nothing protecting the hands from the tailfin, and you have to use force to squeeze everything into place. I'm shocked more people haven't experienced it. Luckily I got a replacement hand.
  24. Damn you, Mog! I never thought of the Legioss/Tread connection rod that way, but now the sexual innuendo is inescapable. 😳
