    Nice review on the G2 Dinobots @mikeszekely. To me G2 Swoop and Sludge always look out of place to me with the other Dinobots. I think a mustardy yellow or a muted purple would be a better match for the muted blue, green and red of Grimlock, Slag and Snarl. In your pictures Sludge doesn’t look that out of place. Could be that Hasbro muted the orange a tad or that Grimlock is cast in a too vibrant blue (to how he should look in my mind’s eye). The group of new G2 Dinobots looks too much like a hodgepodge of colors instead of a cohesive group.

    I enjoyed "Crime 101" last night (on Prime) and it's the best thing to watch until Michael Mann's "Heat" sequel is released. Top performances from the cast, Chris Hemsworth finds an interesting angle for his seemingly cliché character, and Barry Keoghan is an overachieving agent of chaos. But the movie's top stars are the score & cinematography. (Do not watch the trailer, it will spoil a few key moments)

    Damn, Matthew Rhys is so good already. Everybody go see him in "The Beast within" if you haven't. Trailer looks good, but my latest experiences on Apple+ were the trainwreck second season of "Hijack", and I had to bail out of "The last Frontier" for it's stupidity. And the upcoming "Cape Fear" looks bloated, with 10 episodes announced.

    Thanks for the Minibot pics @mikeszekely. I'll continue to collect the Retro G1 line. I wouldn't mind if a Huffer, Pipes, and Windcharger were released in that line with G1 toy heads. I wish Bumblebee from that line came with a G1 toy head. Looking forward to cartoon release Seaspray and Wheelie.

    There seems to have been so much focus on Hatsune Miku (and ridiculing Bandai for it), but the Metal Build Expo at the Tamashii Tokyo store actually had a couple of other things on display. More close ups here: https://www.taghobby.com/archives/917926 Saint Seiya Omegamon Ikaruga. I have no background on this, what IP is this from – anime, game? And what's the story behind this particular mecha? Kiryu – damn this one looks awesome and I thought the SOC was already a really good proposition. And in case anyone missed it, Bandai also gave the first tease of HWS, but in classic Bandai it looks like it's going to be for the Hi-Nu Expo "blue" version. You are left for dead, if you only have the original one. Kämpfer is also getting a re-release in December.

    Take the copy you got from Pulse to the Walmart where you found Wheelie. Tell them you don't have a receipt, but yours is missing a part and you just want to do an even exchange. Having worked for far too many years in retail, I can tell you that Walmart will just send it back to Hasbro, so Walmart doesn't gain or lose anything on it.

    Me, I loved the Yammie rainbow canopies. Something about those evoked motion, speed, and the sun in space. I kinda wish those made a comeback.

    I find that Takara is way too bright on most of their V.O.T.O.M. AT's, the Erdspinne (Dirt-Spider) is only slightly darker then the X-ATH-11C Order Buckler went it should be much darker! Bandai in most parts, adheres to the AT Colour guide that was published by Wave over 25 years ago, and is an excellent source reference material, in what colours should be used. the AT-Truck as well was way too bright then that was shown on screen for a brief moment.... It makes them too toy like, which was always a problem I had with Takara! While Bandai's colour matching in the Hi-Metal R line has been almost perfect! Although the (RSC) should be darker then the regular ATM-09-ST That's why I decided to take the newly released Scopedog and make it into my (RSC) since it's darker then the (RSC) that was released! I would recommend the AT Color Materials, that Wave published if you wan't a good colour reference! a quick shoot for reference....

    I made a Wally run early this morning and they had a peg full of Outbacks so I picked one up. They had one copy of Wheelie as well, but I've been waiting on the one I POed with Pulse and, sure enough, my copy showed up on my doorstep later in the day, so I have both now. While I'm not a big fan of Wheelie's character per se, I like his design, and I think this is a well-done figure in both modes. They really nailed the car mode, The bot mode, of course, looks like his toon incarnation instead of the fugly G1 toy's bot mode, a saving grace IMHO. Hasbro simply left various bits unpainted, like the knees, so I'll be picking up the SS86 version when it releases. My copy apparently came sans slingshot; I didn't pay particularly close attention to whether it was in the package before I opened it, but once I had it opened and extricated Wheelie, I noticed the absence of the slingshot, which was nowhere to be found after a search around the general area. Not the first time something was missing from a fig I bought from Pulse. Little frustrating, especially given the price of these things and Hasbro's odd insistence of addressing broken or missing items by sending random toys that decidedly are not the ones with which customers are having issues. So, I'm gonna hold out for the SS86 version, perhaps at retail, to ensure I get at least one copy with a slingshot. Outback turned out really well. This is my first and only toy of that character, but the Brawn mold was done so well that I felt this was a worthy double-dip. I really like the mocha color they chose for him.

    ... The 31's are... I don't recall the 25's canopies being tinted🤔... Guess it's a good excuse for a Frontier rewatch! but they've also done it to the VF-1J in the Hi-MetalR line: Which is not accurate. This is potentially just my own personal taste, but the pilot should be able to see out of the canopy really well, which usually means one should be able to see in really well. If they're going to do it I'd appreciate it being much more subtle... the frosted gold canopy on the DX VF-31C, for example, is on completely the wrong end of that spectrum imo. but maybe I'm the weirdo on this one

    No real improvements. Seems like the pelvis ratchet is still loose. Fail. This is just sad. If only the pelvis ratchet would lock in properly.
