  1. Past hour
  2. One solution would be an adhesive rubber pad on the top armatures.
  3. Seems to be an entire case study in "how to let arrogant people lead morons to unleash the apocalypse upon an unsuspecting planet." As for "Boy Kavalier", I have a better name for him, but I think MWF rules prohibit me from posting it.
  4. Truly a thing of absolute beauty! Hat’s off @Return To Kit Form, just stunning display of talented workmanship and conceptualism. Gorgeous and fun even!
  5. Today
  6. Yeah, the doofy backside of the cockpit has always bugged the crap out of me on the Legioss, for both aesthetic and aerodynamic reasons. I get that it doesn't really matter when you have micro-nuclear reaction engines, but it still looks stupid.
  7. Not to scare off die hard HT addicts, there’s been reports of the Artisan Mohair having issues, so pick your copy of John Wick carefully. If you still have questions, go onCollectors Freak and read up on the existing Artisan Mohair issue.
  8. Ah the video and poster clear it up...I'm dense This is a fork of the main unit, it is a 'test machine'...i.e. Macross Plus development fighter...AFC-01X Legioss Omega! Now I understand the liberties with the design, its truly meant to be an evolution of the original design, not an interpretation.
  9. Yeah this is looking like the Mospeada figures for me, scale and price are just right, definitely in for a Tread too whenever that happens. I don't know, I want to wait for the green one, but I may grab the blue one for now just to check it out, then go all in when green releases.
  10. I'm going to guess that the MLV Series is the Delta Wing Tread/TLEAD and the EZ Series is the forward swept version or the Bulldog.
  11. The one thing I like about PLA is that it has a large variety of different colors. That said, I've printed in several SLS printers now, and PLA wouldn't really be an option for me with those parts. It is a plant-based plastic, and while that normally isn't an issue, when looking for qualities similar to ABS, the fact that there are a lot of newer Core X-Y printers that can print in ABS a lot easier than just a few years ago, ABS is a much more accessible material. There's also PETG, and some other hybrids that are fairly simple to print. With ABS though, the only thing with it is that it is a toxic material to print, so anyone doing it, have great ventilation and use a respirator when in the room, garage, or area while it's printing. Same should be for a lot of materials, but especially ABS, along with a few others. As for best materials, I have a printer that does do nylon. It's even more expensive, but while it is stronger and more resilient in how it handles, it's limited in colors (usually white, or black if you mix with a carbon fiber mixture).
  12. Interesting, if simple, solution. As I surmised, the knees act as the armored form's hip joints. I wonder if the previous poses represent the limit of hip articulation forward or if the legs can kick higher. I don't have my reissue of G1 OP handy to see how much forward bend his knees have, but then the ML core's feet and calves have been modified so it's entirely possible the knees have as well to affect greater pose ability. The armatures holding the core's thighs in place are concerning for the potential to scratch or rub off the chrome.
  13. @Mog I'm using this MPC for the Dark Tread, surprisingly it was very easy to disassemble, and the plastic used it excellent. no signs of wear & tear on it. The missile bay section is a delight in that panels just slide out; no masking needed for those. @tekering offered some good suggestions for colors to use, so I have some Tamiya spray paint cans on the way, sadly none of my local hobby shops sell Tamiya brand. I miss my old hobby shop from CA, Smith Bros. had everything.
  14. Preordered ML Ultra Magnus at Hobby Genki. It's a little cheaper there. I'll also order the Dramatic Capture Series set with the Insecticons at Hobby Genki later.
  15. All that space magic must come with some low noise engines and sound proofing lol Macross really could do with something that has the wing shape of an F-18 and some wing tip hardpoints though.
  16. You know that feeling when you're hoping things are mis-transformed in official pics? 🙂
  17. Also we now have some pictures of the back side of Ultra Magnus's armored form. The pictures are from TFW2005. You can see some clips that hold his legs in place.
  18. Well, interestingly Powered Buggy arms and legs appear to transform without Partsforming!
  19. Lol, they don't look good in either mode but I can live with them. Thanks for everyone using my affiliate link! Super excited to see the original designs also look likely... Hopefully it's not one release every couple years.
  20. Huh, another difference I didn't notice consciously! Good eye. Looks like they're leaving themselves the option to leave off the rear cockpit extension in future releases if they want to match the official design. Hmm, so what do we think of the feet in fighter mode, gang? They don't stick out too badly IMO.
  21. I think I came from a time when Xenomorph was a more rarely used term. It was usually Big Chap or soldier alien or dog alien or alien queen. Not saying the term was used here and there, just more sparingly.
  22. Curious what you’ll be using as the base figure for this custom.
  23. BTW, I currently happen to be in Virginia Beach, sitting on the sand about 10 miles from Norfolk and watching the navy ships and F-18s come and go, so a bit of realism is in my head right now. Speaking of which, one thing Macross dials down considerably is just how LOUD these things are. A gerwalk landing or taking off should send everyone scrambling for shelter! 😁
  24. Love that Hesher Z’Gok. I remember back when I we were in middle and high school buying similar spikes and putting em on jackets and boots. The sporting goods store had a bunch of em and I think we also “borrowed” some from the school teams
