  2. Great, another remake worse than its predecessor. 🫤 Did Bandai just take all the cues from the VF-171 and paint it black. Super pass on the first batch. Waiting for these to hit bargain bins.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

Just when I thought I was out.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

    VACA SANTA!!!
  5. This was not on my bingo card, but it’s great for fans. I hope it gets the VF-31 Siegfried treatment, not the VF-31AX Kairos Plus treatment.
  6. agreed on the "too skinny"... but damnit, its a VF-17S. I need it.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

Way too skinny in Battroid mode. Looks like it's optimised for Fighter mode. But as the VF-17 is one of my all-time favourite designs (it was my top favourite for decades), I'm in, will be buying.

  9. Didn't expect this!
  10. There are two kinds of kids. Teenagers (and preteens) and children. Mando looks to be aimed at the former (which is what I was when SW originally came out). Skeleton Crew was aimed at the latter.

Country of origin for purposes of the tariffs is based on where the product was made, not where it is shipped. From what I've read on places like myfigurecollection.net, which has an extremely long thread consisting of hundreds of posts on the tariffs issue, HJL is one of few (along with Good Smile's online store) that accurately marks the country of origin as China compared to the overwhelming majority of others (like amiami, Mandarake, etc.) that have historically put down Japan as the COO for everything that they ship. From what I've seen, DHL also has a processing/brokerage fee of $17 that they tack on in addition to the tariffs for their handling of the paperwork or whatever to clear customs. From what I've read, I think UPS' processing fee may be even higher, but I'm not completely sure.

Yeah, thankfully I don't trust DHL in the slightest either. They're always the least reliable in my area, so I'm just going to let anything I ordered ride until there's another option.
  15. Hopefully your health gets better soon, but there’s always the D+ option I’d imagine that the majority will be adults, but I wouldn’t expect a packed theater for it.
  16. George Lucas did say, this is a movie for kids when he did star wars, it's not really a movie aimed at grownups after all. Either way, I think this could be a good popcorn flick. The only question is will I be able to sit in a theater and watch this with my current health. Since it's 8 months away, who knows! I'm crossing my fingers.
  17. Okay wait, that was it? .........serious? that's season 1?
  18. Very much for kids and is why I'm dragging mine to see it, lol. I expect lots of adults will see it too.
  19. RIP Miss Cardinale.
  20. Ouch! But true. The real problem being that they tied him own to a gangster who can't gangster. I only saw the show once, but didn't they have him being taken in by nomads after escaping the Sarlac pit? They should have just had him fighting for them against the far more powerful Hutts for the length of the show.
  21. I took a week off to play BF6 the week after its released, lol.
  22. Found on a current auction, just another low-viz variant, but the angle of this pic just struck me as 'that is freaking cool' Hasegawa did nice on the 1/48.
  23. That Scambit is really pricey at bbts. It’s $134 before tax and shipping and possibly other fees. I got the original version for $50 or $60 when it was new. I thought that was a little pricey for a six inch toy then, now it seems like a total bargain
  24. That’s amazing. not a style I’d be trying myself, but this definitely makes me excited for the moderoid kit.
  25. With their advertising for this, it looks to be aimed at children. Like Skeleton Crew. Which is fine, I liked that. Just makes me a little sad we're now miles away from the Space Spaghetti Western the show started as.
  26. It was difficult for me to come to terms with this... but when Discovery, Rings of Power, and even Star Trek Into Darkness claim 84% of critics recommend them, I guess the shills have taken over. 🫣 Still, if grading on a curve, I have to admit Alien: Earth wasn't nearly as disappointing as Alien 3... or Alien vs. Predator... or Prometheus, even. 😒 And if the show had come to television 30 years ago, amidst the RoboCop, Highlander, and Police Academy TV series, we'd have hailed it as a masterpiece. 😅
  27. Yeah I think you’re right about that.
