@wm chengCongrats on finishing it up. It looks outstanding and the perseverance/story behind it makes for such a sweet ending. 🎉♥️

Finally finished! The canopy decal didn't fit properly, the left side did, but the right half was a tad too long, wierd, the VE-1 decals fit perfectly, it also crumbled into 4-5 pieces - probably due to age, but I noticed some of the round vernier thruster port decals didn't fit the engraved details perfectly too. That serves me for having 20yr old models to get to in my stash! Funny some of the weathering paint mottling didn't show up on my iPhone photos as much. I will take some better photos of them, but you can see @arbit amazing Minmay sculpt so well in the those huge bubble canopies.

Toynamishop shows it will be available again in August/September. Hopefully I'll snag one then.

I replaced the smaller thruster exhausts with these aftermaket "vernier" add-ons (they were bought 15yrs ago from HLJ but I think they should still be around). I reused some of the kit parts (the original nozzles) as detail inside the larger ones. I started this kit Nov 2023, so its really nice to actually have it all together again. I have to thank @arbit for sculpting that amazing Minmay in the back seat with her helmet off. I bought this kit 20yrs ago in 2003 but was so disappointed that there never was a Minmay in the back, so it sat on my shelf all these years. The pilot is also sculpted by him and 3D Resin printed as well and its what's got me back to finally finishing this model - even with all the crap that has happened on this long journey.

Kinda funny that we got new Mospeada models but kinda lack official artwork on color scheme on Jupiter Base and maybe other colonies. Also maybe female Mars Base soldiers in jumpsuit.

Shifting gears thanks to the reminder from @Big s about the HLJ Ma.K. Contest. I think it would be fun to enter and a great motivator. I decided to bust out one of these little 1/35 Grober Hund kits from Artpla.

So I'm guessing that running freecell using Threadripper is a bit pointless, huh? -
Well, when you have Jim Carrey as Kirk, I figured what's a little non-canon?

Don't get me started on THAT little b@$7@rd. I'd sooner see Badgey make a return.

It was sold out very soon, though it's not cheap . Wish it will re-release or available in other market later.

Loved the first two, and I even really enjoyed the Ubisoft open world game, so I'm absolutely in for an IMAX screening!

The last one wasn’t something I hated, but I can’t say I remember anything from it

Same here, I liked the more basic designs from the series before it got a bit more super robotish. But I definitely don’t hate any of them from what I remember. It’s been a while

While I'd much rather see the Arbalest or M9, or even this design in its original form, this is a welcome development.

Predator: Killer of Killers - June 6
Negotiator replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm kind of torn with this. I like seeing old characters again, but lore wise this implies that we've been watching this ONE tribe the whole time. The sore loser tribe that collects warriors to fight again another day. Is this the only tribe that visits other planets because they have a lot of other species on ice? Are there other tribes at all or is this a unified race thing now, yautja vs the universe?- 35 replies

Sounds like the unproduced Star Trek: Final Frontier would have been right up your alley then. The idea probably would have worked a lot better if it'd been set closer to the 24th century shows. There were just too many issues with trying it as far into the future as they did to the level that it became a certifiable Idiot Plot. I have to wonder what Starfleet Academy will do to justify its 32nd century setting besides being grim and boring and throwing a bunch of familiar 24th century enemy species into the background as Federation members. The writers seem to have forgotten that technology advanced a lot even in the 2370s of Voyager and Deep Space Nine. Voyager's doctor is teaching at the Academy, despite being a first-generation EMH whose software has been obsolete for 818 years. That's like going to a history class today and finding out your instructor is Geoffrey of Monmouth. Or someone from the 24th century rolling up to a computer science class to find the instructor is f***ing Clippy. (As much as I love Robert Picardo and his role as the Doctor... there are so many problems with the idea in this series.)
