Absolutely.they should’ve. Will they? Maybe a good few years later when they decide to reissue it, we might get it, at least just the updated base that allows the easy removal of fins, and we’ve got to BYO “normal” sized fins.

@Chas That battroid with Max is very cool! @wm cheng Great looking Zero! Getting a metallic and chrome finish is tough (or so I've heard) and it certainly looks bright, shiny and chrome! @electric indigo Nice paint and finish on the plane. @SteveTheFish has two good looking ladies on his bench! Been a long while since I watched Nadia and I've actually never seen Record of Lodoss War. Might need to give that a watch.

The stuff looks just the same here. It’s also supposed to be just as tough as any lacquer application. And I guess not super expensive since you can thin the paint down quite a bit

I'm surprised they don't have an inter-bridge intercom system just to talk to one another...

Supposedly theres a "rocket" hidden inside the Spacemans helmet (as per the description on the US Lego store) but I haven't seen any evidence of that in the released photos so far.

I've worked with different metallics over the years, (Testors Metalizer. Alclad, Molotow Chrome, etc), and never liked much of any of them due to their fragility. The best option I ever found was foil tape (I prefer the dollar store variety, as its' thinner and easier to apply). My three issues with using that though is 1) it's a bit of a pain and arduous to apply correctly, especially to rounded or complex detailed areas; 2) you have to paint it with a transparent color to get varying shades, and 3) it can pick up scratches and marks if it's handled too roughly (although they can be burnished back out unless overcoated). That's the route I took with my 1/6 Robocop figure (since the outer armor is essentially the Horizon vinyl model, paint wasn't going to work very well anyways): I ended up airbrushing the subtle red, purple and blue tones onto the tape, but I think too much handling could cause it to come off. The one advantage is that you can apply decals over the foil tape (worked very well for my restored G1 Megatron!) and weathering without it coming off or dulling. One method I did see (albeit expensive) is Alsa "Killer Chrome": https://alsacorp.com/product/easy-chrome/ (this one might work if a bunch of us chipped in and were able to evenly divide the materials amongst ourselves, but not sure how that would work!) There's this discussion on the RPF about chrome paint/ applications that may help as well: https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/chrome-paint-comparisons.107933/

Just a reminder tomorrow is the pre-order date for the DX CHOGOKIN VF-1S VALKYRIE ROY FOCKER SPECIAL REVIVAL Ver. its also Groundhog Day 🤣 Have fun hunting! 🤪 for the FOCKER! 🫢 On another note... I'm having a real problem with Hobby Genki, I ordered two Hi-Metal R V.O.T.O.M FATTY's from them when the pre-order went up in June 2025, Until now the have not shipped the units! And only answered one request on why it hasn't shipped yet with we will ship when it is released from the Manufacturer! But that was over a month ago on the 23rd of December 2025! So be really carful with them at the moment! 🤔

I'm glad to see this finally happening. For a while, Aoshima was going to release this Silent Moebius police spinner. There was one on display at their boot at a hobby show several years back. I asked and this is a completely differently-tooled venture. As for me, here are the two figures I've been working on. The Nadia is a 3D print that Tekering made for me. Deedlit is a sofubi I started on almost 2 years ago and I'm nearly done. I need to heat up her cape so that I can wrap it around her. As it is, it's too stiff.

Here's a 3 yr. Old reddit post I came across the other day that discusses the hyper thinned Mr.Hobby Super Metalic with comparison pics.

Looks pretty cool. They do have that aqua clear, not sure if I spelled it right top coat that seals the chrome. It will dull the color a little though. Recently there have been tougher chrome choices like duralumin and an option using a thinned down super metallic 2 silver from Mr color, supposedly something like five parts thinner to I part paint and it comes out like a tough chrome. The Barbatos Rex YouTube channel has many videos about great chrome choices and he does a toughness test with the different ones to let you know which ones are worth the money I know exactly what you mean by the fragility of Alclad, stuff will just rub off, but looks great and easy to find. I usually try to use it for things like sensors and then a clear color on top.

The decals are on and the appearance changed from toy to aircraft model.

So we have another Mech Month! Although the release is not that super important, if you already have the first release (RSC) but it puts the series back on store shelves since it's also a retail release. and we also get a package with new Tenjin artwork, but wander if the rear of the package also has the see though window? Like I said not really sure what the objective is, in changing how the metal joints are coated when they go back to the old way on the following release!? They could have just given it a different unit # other then 36, to make it more interesting! But you do get an extra set of hands that was not included with the (RSC)! Since the first release was March 23, 2024 this will close up the 2 year mark with six releases, with some really nice Mechs, and we already know what this year should contain... It's been expensive but interesting. and really happy about how the series is progressing!

Hey @MKT thanks for your kind words! I am just bitter missing out on the 1/60 😁

Thanks very much for your input @Chronocidal @treatment. For now I sent an urgent reply to Mr.K’s latest post on X wondering if he could come to the rescue, as per your suggestion. The worst outcome is me out $300 cad having to buy a regular version on Mandarake just for the left arm, and what an expensive arm that is!🤯 In the meantime I managed to disassemble it entirely. Luckily the two screw covers came off easy, perhaps someone at the factory was being stingy with glue that day (thank you). The two halves of the lower arms is NOT glued either so you just wiggle jiggle carefully pry it apart. The pain in the butt however was to knock the pin out as you see its teeth on both ends of it. Some collateral damage was inevitable but it’s contained on the broken bit. With the pin finally out, the bicep armour slides out completely, the metal slider separated undoing one screw, and it is pretty much ready for donor parts. PF? More like Explosive Finish, you got yourself a really nicely detailed anime accurate transforming time bomb. That being said, I suggest everyone to push the metal sliders from inside the arm rather than pull when you extend for fighter mode.

The annoying thing is that Bandai had invented a way to make the vertical stabilizers removable to address their mistake on painting the squadron numbers (and to make the Angelbirds more desirable). They should have implemented that system on the VT-1 and given us the option to have full size stabilizers or smaller ones.

I suspect they glued the speaker pods on the shoulders to make a DX seem cooler if they choose to issue one.

The Ghost In The Shell - New Anime coming 2026
Chronocidal replied to no3Ljm's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The lumps there I think are from an upscale of the scenes, but I'm thinking more about how the Zentaedi miclones looked. Some of the characters definitely remind me of them. The chief especially is looking back to this older style, which is a pretty big jump from how detailed the characters tended to get in SAC. I think the real kicker will be if the Fuchikoma make cartoony faces.- 33 replies

She’s definitely looking a little lumpy around the chin. that game was fun but flawed. I remember being able to beat it by just staying out of the enemy range. Also remember getting motion sickness when I got my Fuchikoma stuck on a column and pushed forward. The screen went in circles and I forgot which way I was facing- 33 replies

The Ghost In The Shell - New Anime coming 2026
Chronocidal replied to no3Ljm's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm honestly just really looking forward to them pulling from the older manga style characters. The art is looking pretty similar to the cutscenes in the old PS1 GITS game, and it makes me smile. More modern styling of highlights and such, but the characters themselves are making me think of older shows... heck, the greenish hair is halfway giving me Jenius vibes. Actually, looking back at those game cutscenes, a lot of the character art really reminds me of SDFM artwork. The art was kind of rough, partly from the low resolution, but the characters had the same sort of "lumpy" look that many of the side characters in SDFM had.- 33 replies
