  3. I think of it like guys and their cars... I struggle to understand the "hellflush" or whatever that is where the wheels are at an angle and whatnot... Or the diesel "coal rollers." But! I know they love their rides in their own way and while I don't understand all of it. I can understand that love. We have so many spectacular collections, rare one of a kind pieces, and passion that, you know... Who needs rules... or like Doc said - roads? We've gone above and beyond! So keep doing what you're doing you magnificent basteds.
  4. O..M..G... To laugh or to cry.. Let's say our descendants in a very distant future, past when humanity has somehow wiped most of itself, found this footage & whatever other AI ones and thought they are real & actually representative of our present time. History is gonna be mightily distorted.

@jenius Has graced us with a new review!
  6. It's impossible to express the depths of horror AI is capable of generating. 😱 Now, if only we can teach it to recognize aspect ratios... 🙄
  7. Oh please let this be the first of all five dinobots.
  8. Unfortunately, the attempt to capture the real car as accurately as possible takes precedence over functionality. It'd be nice if they could do both, but that would entail making a lot more specialized canopy/windshield pieces as well as compromising the look of the vehicles. I came to terms with the compromise back when they were still only 6-wide. The move to 8-wide gave the designers more real estate and thus more options. Moreover, the steady addition of new elements every year to better capture the curves and contours of the cars has greatly enhanced what's possible with the brick. Kids now just don't know how good they've got it compared to what we had to work with from the 70s through the early millennium.
  9. It comes down to think out side the box on how to best put your collectibles on display so you can enjoy seeing them. You have a great variety of collectibles which is always good to see. Knowing that you can walk around your collection and point out individual items that have similar themes and represents your core values is a win. "For instance, my Slave Leia (one of the most valuable TVC figures in the collection!) is almost completely obscured by Jabba's sail barge. 🤕" It's knowing that you have to put your Slave Leia figure next to Jabba's Sail Barge is the thing that counts. Thank you!

  11. Still chugging along on my Hi-V resculpt. Only one leg left to finish matching, then I can finally work on cleanup and detailing! Aiming for paint Feb 1st for a 2026 comeback!
  12. Touché, my friend. Guilty on all counts. 😅 Space constraints force me to squeeze displays of wildly different scales and themes right up next to each other. It's a chaotic mess of pop culture. 🫣 Heck, even when I manage to be consistent in scale and theme, my displays end up defeating each other... For instance, my Slave Leia (one of the most valuable TVC figures in the collection!) is almost completely obscured by Jabba's sail barge. 🤕 I greatly admire that pragmatism. I'm so sick-and-tired of buying the same characters over and over again because of slight improvements in sculpt or scale accuracy (or simply to acquire lesser-desired figures bundled together), but I'm a compulsive completist when it comes to Macross, Star Wars, Alien, RoboCop, Gremlins, Star Trek, Transformers... 😓
  13. It arrived and it's awesome. A smidge fiddly, and the default hand cant hold the gunpod very well, but overall shes a great valk. I love he color, I love the general look. Yeah. Cool piece of kit.
  14. In the actually-worth-watching category, we've got the apparently VERY long-awaited anime adaptation of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e... more than twenty-one years after the original manga ended circulation, and almost 30 years after it started serialization in Hana to Yume back in 1996. Gave the first two episodes a whirl. It's definitely a high-quality adaptation with a lot of very experienced voice actors behind it. It does have a weird vibe to it, though... I think because the story was written back in the 90's it feels slightly odd and out of place even with modern animation behind it. Not bad, just... different. Still fun, still well-executed. I'm looking forward to more.
  15. Not interested in a cartoon of it. They gave me live-action, so keep giving me live-action.
  16. That new LEGO DeLorean is a great set but I wish it had working gull-wing doors.
  17. Cool. They scale a little bit better to one another.
