  1. Past hour
  2. Right now, Amazon.jp has it for 46% off! Go go go!
  3. But they did manage to ensure that he has his most important feature.
  4. Today
  5. @rsvictor1976 - They were indeed! Snagged one! Thanks!
  6. My favourite single from them its Lair.
  7. Honestly, the more I look at it, the less I like it. Kinda just looks like a pile of expensive scrap. A very junky bunch of add ons. I do like the production NU, but it’s not worth paying $150 ish just to ditch the ugly junk that surrounds it
  8. Thank you for the reminder about the Vader Tie release, I had been meaning to grab that one. Can finally put together the full Trench Run diorama. (not that I have the space, but someday!)
  9. The voices of at least the boys have changed and unless the actors are trained for it (and still have the vocal range to pull it off) using the actors from the films would sound off.
  10. Mandarake does have an auction system as well as a standard store. When you visit their website, always click on the English link. Going in through the normal link and relying on your browser to translate it for you doesn't work too well. The only way to access the auctions is through a link on the landing page so if you want to buy from the regular store, just do a search for Macross and you're good to go.
  11. Yesterday
  12. It is a blast, it has been a a lot of fun modeling with Solidworks I might use also autocad. For now I just know how to use 2 CAD: sketchup and Solidworks ! Next step: 8 hours print test for the leg !
  13. I'm a little wary of buying Bandai valks from Japan because of all the QC issues that they often have. Mine had a droopy canard that couldn't be raised all the way up and was just a huge eyesore. I "fixed" mine by purchasing one off Amazon and then swapping and returning the defective unit. So there's one benefit of having it available on Amazon here. It was the same way I "fixed" the broken antenna on my YF-21.
  14. No idea this was coming....
  15. Yep. And when IDW did decide to do a continuation of the Marvel series, they choose to pick up with #81 of the original G1 series (Marvel ended on #80) and not G2.
  16. Nope. That was, rather infamously, the final page of the G2 comic, and the entire Marvel comics run.
  17. I want it.
  18. The biggest missed opportunity is the chance for a "Judge Dredd/Matchbox" crossover movie. (during the "2000AD" "Dredd" epic "The Cursed Earth" Dredd used a vehicle, a futuristic AFV, that was based on one of Matchboxs "Raider Command" vehicles. And when I say "based on", I mean directly copied from. You could even win one in a "2000AD" competition at the time!).
  19. I'm not a car guy thus Hot Wheels have never really been my jam. However, I do like the aesthetics of some cars and I've always admired the ceaseless inventiveness and creativity of the folks behind both Matchbox, originally a British company, and Mattel's Hot Wheels. (Mattel bought matchbox in 1997) Obviously this is a toyline ripe with potential for media, especially given the range of variety and styles amongst the various vehicle designs over the years, from extremely fanciful to modern and realistic. IMHO, I don't think live action is the way to go, but rather animation. The IP is well-suited for both racing and intrigue, ala Speed Racer, which would make for a great formula. I'd love to see Mattel partner up with the likes of Production IG and produce a well-written show that focuses as much on characters as plot, as well as the use of many of Hot Wheels' designs over the years to great effect. that's something a non-HW guy like me could get into. Guess we'll see how the live action movie goes, but I suspect it'll be lowest common denominator fodder, rife with cheese, middling acting, vacuous plot, and likely short on some of HW's more fanciful and out-there designs which could far better be rendered and utilized in animation. I'd rather see a more mature series (thinking along the lines of Gargoyles, Tron: Uprising, or even more mature anime fare). Given its nigh 58-year history (and Matchbox's even longer history), there are a lot of older fans of this franchise that would be served by a mature and well-developed story and characters, moreso IMHO than a dumbed-down movie aimed at kids.
  20. I'm waiting for the 50% off sale.
