  1. Past hour
  2. I had a chance to do some reading coming back from my PA to Chicago roadtrip. It sounds like the Hemi is not dead, and jeep is apparently offering or going to offer it in certain models/trims. I've seen other articles corroborate the same information but I do not know if its available now or planned. I would also concur with not wanting to daily a car from the 60s-80s they are fun to play with but can be very unforgiving and temperamental when they want to be. It is worth noting that cars from the early to mid 00s are very much in demand right now.. assuming they have been taken care of and its not a hot mess. I've been watching vehicles like Rav4s from the early teen years very much in demand currently. Best guess for that is the current general build quality and pricing issues that seem to be across the whole spectrum of car manufacturers.
  3. And that's a rap; I'm calling the Dark TREAD/Shadow Beta completed. Eventually this will go back in its MPC box, but for now I'll enjoy it for a bit.
  4. Nice, this one has been on my list for about a year now. Its a contender to replace my DD... I had a 1981 280ZX Turbo that met an untimely end back in the early 00s. Probably still find a pic of it on the forums if it still exits. I have been hesitant because of some of the issues Nissan has been having, that and some experience with some CVT issues on family vehicles. Might end up with one eventually if the price is right.

  6. Finished HUNTING WIVES starring Brittany Snow on Netflix last night. Good guilty pleasure series and looking forward to the second season.
  7. Today
  8. I made the mistake of not checking the runtime when I bought my ticket so I was at an 8:15pm showing too. 🙃 For what it's worth, Demon Slayer the Movie: Infinity Castle was engaging enough that I didn't think "Wow I've been watching this for a long time" and check my watch until the story started to drag in the second act of Akaza's extensive Tragic Backstory™️ at around the film's two hour mark. I guess it goes to show how much theater seating has improved that I wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest for the entire duration. Is it just me, or have anime films gotten longer? Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom was two hours, Overlord: the Sacred Kingdom was two and a quarter, and now Demon Slayer the Movie: Infinity Castle at two and a half. I feel like 90 minutes used to be the standard, or maybe that's just because most of the ones in my collection are compilation movies.
  9. I would need a pee break somewhere in the middle of that. The days where I could go over 4 hours without peeing are long gone.
  10. Was out and about this morning, impulse purchased SSOne Starscream, Elita One and Optimus Prime. Mainly got them cause I was actually fairly impressed with how well B127 was designed and handled. So while I kind of like Optimus, I very much dislike Elita and Starscream. They've got defects on mine...for screamer his nosecone doesn't fold out correctly flush with the rest of his fluselage making the canopy not want to close correctly. Same issue with his legs, his heels turning into the engines, they won't close up correctly. Elita.....she's just terrible all together, her left knee is crooked and I can't seem to fix it, and her chest won't lock in where her rear wheels collapse in robot mode. Also there's little to no clearance when in bike mode and her head tends to scrape.
  11. It would say the models’ relative sizes look pretty comparable to the scene where Max in his VF-1S fights Milia in the hallway of the Meltrandi ship in DYRL. There’s definitely a lot of anime magic going on there.
  12. Thanks Thom! Sorry that you're not feeling well; is the show more than one day?
  13. @Cheese3 That dio is looking good! @505thAirborne Fantastic! Good luck @pengbuzz! @derex3592 Good start to the PE. The only /350 I've done (to completion) was a USS Independence littoral ship and PE. I have a couple smaller /700s with PE that I need to get back to. And I should be at a model show right now, the IMPS ROCON show in Rochester NY, but of course I am sick with 'tummy problems' to name one ailment...
  14. If they can mess with scales in anime, we can do it in real life!😁 It does look really cool...
  15. Decided to break out the TEXAS from the depths of the closet stash after over a year of not touching it. A little bit of photoetch on a quiet Sunday morning is a good way to get my feet wet again on this build. Not to shabby after not doing PE for a while. Small steps Ellie... LOL. For those who have done ships in 1/350, you know what I mean! 😁
  16. UPDATE: CVAN-65 was delivered to the Crafts and Collections Department of the 2025 Durham Fair (Connecticut). We'll see what they make of her. Stay tuned...
  17. 2.5 HOURS!?!?!? That sounds positively exhausting.
  18. Yeah, Macross sizing and scale is all over the place. As far as the anime the zentraedi jackets fit a battroid no problem, but their power armors usually look much closer to the same height. But then the line art shows their pilots shorter than the destroids with the ladies being even shorter. But I do at least feel that the Queadluun Rau kit and a Plamax kit will look spot on for the anime scene where Max’s future wife busts into the city. The Queadluun Rau looked bigger, but not much taller than the battroid there.
  19. Just got back from seeing Demon Slayer the Movie: Infinity Castle. For better AND for worse, Demon Slayer the Movie: Infinity Castle is a two hour and thirty-five minute long episode of the Demon Slayer TV series. What I mean to say is that it shares the TV anime's tendency to punctuate its fights with extended flashbacks revealing the backstory of the villain(s) rather than work their history into the story in a more organic way. It wasn't so bad in the TV anime where those flashbacks were infrequent and maybe 5 minutes or so on average. Infinity Castle breaks up every fight with at least 2-3 flashbacks and the largest of them (Akaza's) is close on THIRTY MINUTES LONG. It dragged on so long that I had honestly forgotten the fight wasn't actually over and the immediate resumption of the fight on its conclusion was a bit of a shock. UFOTABLE did a fantastic job with the animation as usual. Its only real flaw is how the massive titular Infinity Castle backgrounds are an endless parade of tan and brown tatami mats, shoji doors, and wooden rails so every room feels identical and the color palette of the film as a whole is a flat brown except for the haori worn by the slayers. It does kind of show that it's only the first part of a series of films in that most of the characters have nothing to actually do in this portion of the story and get an obligatory line or two at most. It's really only Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Giyu, Shinobu, Akaza, and Doma who are engaged with the story. Nezuko's not even in the castle, Inosuke's... Inosuke-ing somewhere, and the rest of the slayers spend the entire film running around aimlessly. Shinobu's almost an advertised extra herself... The series big bad, Muzan, is also barely in the film despite the fact that this is his castle they're fighting in. Almost the entire thing revolves around Tanjiro and Giyu fighting Akaza (Upper Moon Rank 3), with a minor digression for Zenitsu of all people to have a moment of out-of-character Total Badassery...
  20. Yeah that’s wild.
  21. I was curious how that Storm was going to do. That costume is an odd time-piece. For me it's special for three reasons. It's one of Storms Outback costumes, it's how she was actually dressed in Uncanny 275 (and 273), and that was the first costume that got a release from Toybiz back when I was first collecting.
  22. Crazy how, to be in actual scale with each other, the Batroid should be small enough to sit inside the Queadluun-Rau.
  23. Agreed. It really stands out in the real world sequences. They needed a lot less face-on with Flynn and more old school deflected shots and just plain not showing his face at all. Do voice-overs while showing him from behind or something. The money saved there could have been used to better render Clu for his major scenes.
  24. I had no idea the cockpit on a Tread was in the literal nose of the mecha. Maybe that explains why Treads were so rare (kinda easy to kill with a head-on shot)?
  25. Yesterday
  26. @505thAirborneWow! That looks 🔥 Great work no doubt.
