  2. TFormers.com did a interview with the Transformers team at SDCC. Here's the highlights... -The Hot Wheels Crossover will continue. According to Nate, there are three planned for 2026 and "some" planned for 2027. Bad to the Blade and Deora II, anyone? -Might not be soon, but Mark said Star Optimus was designed to connect to Generations versions of Sky Garry and Grandus. Evan pointed out that the interviewer didn't mention Dai Altas, to which Mark replied, "add him as well." -When asked if there'd be more Minicon releases like Nemesis Prime with the Star Saber, all three simultaneously said "Yes." Nate said that Mark has been trying to cram as many minicons as he can into one box, and we should expect it in 2026. -Evan claims that Studio Series 86 will never end, and that 2026 will be a big anniversary year with surprises to come. Evan didn't really say more than that, but honestly? I fully expect that every character that was in the film, no matter how little screen time they got, is a likely character for a Studio Series release, even if they already had a recent WfC/Legacy/AotP release. This goes double for the Decepticons, who scaled with Siege/Earthrise Megatron but are too small compared to 86 Megatron. Can't wait for the Leader budget to go toward better engineering and accuracy instead of goofy accessories for Astrotrain and Blitzwing. -Nate let slip that 86 "alive Prowl" could be coming. To be clear, I expect it to basically be Earthrise Prowl, with some of the minor changes included on the dead version. -Nate also said they will do a Studio Series 86 Unicron "someday," but wants to prioritize characters without a modern toy before replacing the HasLab one. -Mark didn't outright say, but implied, that we may see toys of other versions of Unicron (Prime maybe?) before 86 Unicron. -The team really tries to figure out what character they want to do, and how much budget they need to do it right, when deciding who goes in what class, rather than start with a budget/class and try to make a character fit it. Now, personally, I don't think they always succeed, and I'm positive that budgets and class slots do affect the final product, but I respect that they're trying. I don't know a lot about Nate, but Mark and Evan are both clearly fans. -That budget reality is why some releases wind up like they do. When they repackaged Netflix Soundwave with Rumble and Buzzsaw as a Leader-class release, they absolutely knew it was because people wanted Buzzsaw. Likewise, with the recent Studio Series version of Perceptor, they're not simply trying to reissue a Deluxe at a Voyager price, they're doing it because Core-class is dead but they know fans want Ramhorn. EDIT: Oh yeah, it wasn't in the interview, but my sources are telling me that in addition to Onslaught the other AotP Commander in 2026 will be Armada Jetfire. Probably not as interesting as more Combiner torsos to you old geewunners, but I know a Jetfire that combines with Legacy Armada Optimus has been high on a lot of people's wishlists (I myself don't own Overload, but I do have a Jetfire to go with my original Armada Prime, and while I would still love to hear news on a Commander Hot Spot, Hun-Grr, Scattershot, or Razerclaw Armada Jetfire's not a bad option either.

  4. Today
  5. Yeah, not gonna lie but that hasegawa one is a bit intimidating, but I’ll get to it one day. I got a few of the wave armor suits, so I ended up picking the Fliege since it had a window to show off the face. I figured it would be more interesting picture wise than one of the Fireball SAFS type suits even though I prefer those.
  6. Just an update. I was pretty busy, sorting, packing the sets. I also have updated pics of the 'reaching hands' which will also be part of the set of hands. Sets are kits that require assembly/gluing/building, top-coating/painting. A set of hobby grade tools are recommended but not needed: hobby side cutters, hobby knife, sanding sticks, super glue, gloss coat of preference, alcohol/water, enamel or lacquer based paints, paint brush, pointed q-tips, hobby markers, etc. Household tools items such as: nail clippers, small side cutters, super-glue, utility knife, emery board, clear-nail polish Sharpie/alcohol based marker, iso-propanol alcohol would suffice as well. Sample pics of the parts/what a set consists of. 1x VF22S Head [0603 SMD LED or smaller compatible, not included]: 1x green visor with 2x green sensors (option to mix and match with red) 1x red visor with 2x red sensors (option to mix and match with green) 1x lower front (grey), 1x 2.95 visor (grey), 1x visor (grey), 1x lower back (blue), 1x top (blue) 1x pair VF22S Canopies (two frames: one tinted window set, one heat shield set) 1x pair of YVF22S Canopies (two frames: one tinted windowed, one heat shield) 1x pair of VF22S Bay Doors (left and right), [0603 SMD LED or smaller compatible, not included]: 1x pair of each: beam cannons (left and right), and port covers (left and right) 1x AAL Antenna (regular) and 1x XL AAL Antenna (MAX custom) Four pairs of hands with pivoting sockets, these require 1mm pins (paperclips suffice): 1x pair of Saluting hands 1x pair of Macross flight hands 1x pair of Reaching hands 1x pair of Grasping hands BONUS: one VF22S Canopy frame, one YVF22S Canopy frame with clear windows Originally I was planning on making it an option if a buyer to decide between tinted windows or clear windows, but I'm leaning towards tinted windows only. This hasn't been set in stone. Also the first 24 sets I will be including a set of bonus canopies (as mentioned above), with clear windows and frames (one of each the VF22S and Concept Canopy). NOTE: most of the Bonus frames are post-tinted a shade deeper than the YF-21 blue, barely noticeable. The green/red visors and the bay door beam cannon attachments are SMD 0603 LED or smaller compatible (LEDs not included, sorry I couldn't work out the logistics at the moment to source, test, etc.) I did my utmost best to color match the parts to the Bandai DX YF-21's colors. I will have a QR code, tinyurl link for access to assembly instructions, updated notes, help, etc. Aside from the sets I will also make the parts available separately for a reasonable cost. In case some are not interested in certain parts or want extra parts ie. the VF22S Bay Doors, heads, canopies, hands, antennas... The ballpark range/damage for an unbuilt set/kit is $70-$75. When I am ready (probably in a day or two) I will make the kits available in the sell thread/section of the forums (PayPal Goods and Services), eBay and eventually Etsy. I am considered built/post-processed sets later for an additional cost (includes painting, gluing, sanding, gloss/top-coating). Reaching Hands updated sculpt/model (the final will include the pivoting socket pegs as pictured in the set further below): A Full Set (with Bonus Parts for the first 24 sets):
  7. Regardless of how we all feel about HG, its good to see Sentinel getting more sales.
  8. Thanks for sharing! Its always good to see that they are doing well.
  9. I believe you are correct , my good man. I honestly don't know if my 11-C had that issue, as i may have transformed it all of once and then kept it in fighter mode in it's box .
  10. Family portrait! ♥️
  11. Oh you were right when I mentioned doing the Hund I was indeed talking about the Hasegawa version but then I remembered I had these little Artpla ones and figured I’d like to go small. Haha. I did get most of the Hasegawa completed and will need to finish that up later when I have more time.
  12. You know.. I kind of want to think that that piece is a simple enough shape that you could just machine one out of solid plastic without too much trouble, or even metal with the right tools. It's just a rounded plate with holes. Would take precision to make by hand, maybe a jig or drill press to align the holes, but it's not really a complex piece, unless those indented sections are actually required to fit during transformation.
  13. I think you’ll do all right with this one. I thought you were talking about the Hasegawa version. The hasegawa kit is in my stash and one day I’ll tackle that complicated beast, but I’m a slow builder and I know it’s gonna take me a long while to build.
  14. This looks really awesome. I like the overall shine
  15. @wm chengCongrats on finishing it up. It looks outstanding and the perseverance/story behind it makes for such a sweet ending. 🎉♥️
  16. Yesterday
  17. Finally finished! The canopy decal didn't fit properly, the left side did, but the right half was a tad too long, wierd, the VE-1 decals fit perfectly, it also crumbled into 4-5 pieces - probably due to age, but I noticed some of the round vernier thruster port decals didn't fit the engraved details perfectly too. That serves me for having 20yr old models to get to in my stash! Funny some of the weathering paint mottling didn't show up on my iPhone photos as much. I will take some better photos of them, but you can see @arbit amazing Minmay sculpt so well in the those huge bubble canopies.
  18. Toynamishop shows it will be available again in August/September. Hopefully I'll snag one then.
  19. I replaced the smaller thruster exhausts with these aftermaket "vernier" add-ons (they were bought 15yrs ago from HLJ but I think they should still be around). I reused some of the kit parts (the original nozzles) as detail inside the larger ones. I started this kit Nov 2023, so its really nice to actually have it all together again. I have to thank @arbit for sculpting that amazing Minmay in the back seat with her helmet off. I bought this kit 20yrs ago in 2003 but was so disappointed that there never was a Minmay in the back, so it sat on my shelf all these years. The pilot is also sculpted by him and 3D Resin printed as well and its what's got me back to finally finishing this model - even with all the crap that has happened on this long journey.
  20. Kinda funny that we got new Mospeada models but kinda lack official artwork on color scheme on Jupiter Base and maybe other colonies. Also maybe female Mars Base soldiers in jumpsuit.
  21. Shifting gears thanks to the reminder from @Big s about the HLJ Ma.K. Contest. I think it would be fun to enter and a great motivator. I decided to bust out one of these little 1/35 Grober Hund kits from Artpla.
