Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
Seto Kaiba replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
I wouldn't mind seeing a version of that in the "Rim World Model" colors used for the VF-171s in Macross Delta either. It's close-ish to the standard CF khaki for the VF-25A but not all the way there. -

Rhys Darby absolutely stole the show. That was wild.

Great. They're at least using a thicker box.

I still like the missile clusters that came with the VF-0A. From Macross Zero I'll buy a Cheyenne, Monster MK IP, Reactive Armor, and the 3 SV-51 variants.
-
Hoping that at least the wings will be less see through. If not then I'm still cool with it.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Seto Kaiba replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Toss Solo Camping for Two on the trash fire too. The writing is so consistently bad that I'm vexed that Kodansha was willing to publish the original manga, never mind that an experienced studio like Synergy with actual credentials is wasting its time with it. (Even weirder that it's Synergy doing it... they normally do shounen anime. Their schtick for the longest time was Beyblade!) -
@derex3592 At least it looks like it is very close to completion! @Papa Rat It's all coming together beautifully on that. And can't wait to see you cracking into that @pengbuzz Bring on the Klingons!

Looks like an original resprayed with primer. Chest has the red stripe underneath. Also the heatshield is the very same used on reissues. Come on Tony, tell us.

NEXT PROJECT- STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE K'TINGA CLASS BATTLECRUISER (1/537): This one literally just came in today; box was sealed in the original plastic. It's a 1984 reissue, but that makes no difference to me. The top of the main body in back is somewhat flattened out and needs some heat-reshaping, but the plastic is in excellent condition. No brittleness or cracks; it was sealed and kept out of sunlight. Decals look a little aged, but they shouldn't be too much of an issue. I know this model has some accuracy issues, but some spare styrene and a couple of modifications should resolve that nicely. As usual, I'll be doing a custom stand for this on,e as the stand kind of reminds me of a light blue Dorito™!! Stay tuned...

I think the landing gear bulge just looks more pronounced because of the lighting.

Yeah, off white or greyish white would be preferable. I keep my HMR 0S with the 0A's Ghost parts in the darkest corner of my cab in the darkest part of the house...

The boxes are great. Hopefully these are through some partnership with Bandai and the quality isn't crap.
-
Yeah, it only took them 40 years to get the toys they should have gotten originally. Well, I would consider getting Bandai releases of the 1/55s if they renewed the molds. I wasn't impressed with the last batch of re-releases with weak ratchets and the big gap between the chest/back in fighter mode. I'd be super down for a Bandai Missing Link 1/55, but I don't really want any cosmetic "improvements" that Toynami has to offer. New head sculpts kill the nostalgia.

Looks like the Muppets have been around so long that they had to replace their Captain America as well

I get the feeling that the universe will come to an end and a new beginning and Keith will still be there smoking a cigarette looking like nothing surprises him

Keith Richards will live to document the heat death of the universe.
