  1. Past hour
  2. I'll get a few to go with my HMR seeing as the HMR version will probably never be released.
  3. The scene were Miria absolutely gos off punching into the head of a power suit and point blank blasts their face off is nuts.
  4. Been one of my holy grails for a long time . I definitely got three and a few different versions of the new mech hands as well. A Macross Plus version would be epic, indeed.

  6. It was in just about every battle scene, more stuff than the Regults. They were in the invasion scene and the massacre scene when the ladies attacked and ripped them apart also the capture scene and the ending battle. They were the most prominent male mecha in the movie
  7. I remember watching the DVDs of Gasaraki many moons ago and in the extras the mechanical designers talked about how they had to justify there being mecha in the story, when on its face a mecha isn't a great weapons platform or military vehicle, as tanks are smaller, cheaper, and much easier to conceal; so they leaned hard into the Mecha's superior mobility and dexterity. They also made them able to be solo-piloted by having a dedicated computer and sensor system handle all the actual motion of the mecha, all the pilot has to do is point the thing in a direction and the mecha will go there adjusting its speed, balance, and gait automatically.
  8. Yeah, I typed, refined, and deleted an entire side-jaunt about the iconic and genre-defining Nostromo from Alien. If someole wants therr sci-fi hardware to look believable and lived-in, they're still referencing the Nostromo today.
  9. It is a ThreeZero.
  10. I had the same amnesia about them too in the film, but they play a huge roll appearing often. Spoiler….Roy’s death scene
  11. I was being sarcastic, but then I sometimes have trouble getting that right...😁 I like it and it's looking good. And if your wife doesn't understand, just wait until it's been set up in the bedroom.
  12. I'll pass on this one due to tarriff BS and the fact I don't even remember seeing that in DYRL. Was it on screen for more than .03 seconds? It's been a looooong time since I watched it. I remember the TV version fairly well..
  13. Thanks Gang! @nightmareB4macross not too bad over all. I found that the sensor packs on the arms did not line up very well and I rebuilt them. I’ll try to get some photos to show comparison. @Urashiman overall it is a really great kit and one of my favourite designs! I have plans for 1 more lol. @Bolt thanks buddy, I’m using my stencils over the black primer to make the subtle tonal variation.
  14. @tekering - wow!! You're a madman! I love it! In my next life I would love to design and build architectural models. Will it be lit up from inside?
  15. I've never found the N-Ger (oof, that abbreviation is... ) super attractive, but as they tend to do, Hasegawa have turned out a very nice-looking model from the artwork. That backpack especially looks very nice.
  16. Today
  17. Either that or it was a drunken Seinfeld moment. Whyyyyy are real robots sooo big? It’s not like they’re fighting kaijus or anything…..they’re not super robots anymore……🥴 personally I’ve always thought votoms were a rather perfect size. Not big enough to end up easy targets and just big enough to stomp a dude
  18. Big s

    Macross Books

That’s what I was thinking. Just hoping my translator works, cause I’m really interested in the process from back in the pre computer days for sci fi kits, especially at the high level of cool with those Imai kits
  19. That crazy family, always getting frozen and woken up years later
  20. I just had a crazy thought:
  21. *Imagines Tekering looking in a window, and some lady who just got out of the shower screaming her head off and running for dear life!*
