  1. Past hour
  2. I just saw it.... it was pretty good. Gave me a Guardians of the Galaxy vibe even though it tries to deal with a serious issue.
  3. Your best guess at a fanmode is righteous. Well done! I'm not familiar with the animation or the earlier mainline release of these figures so I can't really suggest any alternatives. I feel bad for those folks whose bot(s) arrived broken or broke during transformation. But I'm exceedingly thankful for the folks who got theirs before me and put out an alert on the potential QC issues. I **rarely** transform my bots - hardly ever handle them out of packaging because I don't have any room to display them - but at least now I know what to keep an eye on next time I pull them out of storage.
  4. Even if it says returned item from Amazon (such as the DX 21 and other related Macross related items), you never know if it’s replaced with a totally different item, missing parts or totally destroyed. No one is going to do a complete check as it a high paced environment and everyone it in a very tight time crunch. Your well off getting it from a place that does a very deep and proper inspection.
  5. The bonus booklet is nice, but most of what was in it was originally published within the Macross Perfect Memory book from back when the show first aired....oddly enough, the booklet contains what I was hoping to find more of in the actual book.....
  6. Today
  7. Finally received my copy....it's great to have most of Mikimoto's illustrations collected in one massive book, especially the newer Macross the First era stuff, but the majority of artwork can easily be found in the very early illustration books from the SDFM/DYRL era and M7 era....I was hoping the book would include rough sketches, early renditions of the Macross characters, and the colored pencil drawings of many of his works....I guess I will need to wait for the Ultimate Mikimoto Collection book to be released someday....
  8. Furoku from Third Grade Elementary School Magazine January Issue 1984....Rapid Fire game!
  9. Welp. Sucks that I pre-ordered my SDF through Nin-Nin I guess but I've purchased from the in the past and have no complaints.
  10. An ALIENS themed ride could be awesome af but agree it wouldn't be child friendly. Oh well.
  11. LOL Jeremy Renner Turned Down Hawkeye Season 2 Over Salary 'Insult Offer' "Did you think I’m only half the Jeremy because I got ran over?" https://www.ign.com/articles/jeremy-renner-turned-down-hawkeye-season-2-over-salary-insult-offer
  12. @pengbuzz THANK YOU for the tip on the glue. I always thought it was the film that yellowed!? GREAT looking weathering and paint. I don't imagine they're the type of people to take their bird to the car wash!😁 - MT
  13. I mean it's no secret and all that stuff, but I think it's a smart move to keep at it so we can build up to a proper AVP film after those first two dismal movies. Even with the rumors of Alien Earth hading teased a predator in their trailer.
  14. Yesterday
  15. From what I had heard from a contact at Disney, Disney after acquiring FOX did have ideas of a ride or some attraction that was going to be ALIEN themed. But after a long drawn out census and ideas they deemed it was something that would been to terrifying and difficult to pull off. I'm not sure how involved they were wanting to get....there was that non licensed ALIEN WAR attraction in the UK so long ago....could just pull off something like that and would probably been amazing.
  16. Going to experiment with some complimentary underpainting on this little Valkyrie. So I’m thinking blue under the orange and a purple under the tan. Might look like 💩in the end but why not.
  17. I came here for this. Thank you!
  18. I kinda get that feeling as well, especially since there’s so much talk about what went on just before we get to what’s going on here as though we missed something somewhere
  19. Next inline for Hot Toys Star Wars figures
  20. Each arc is almost like a 3-hour movie. Kinda thankful they didn’t try to stretch these out into a season a piece. Yeah, there’s the initial “What did I miss?” feeling at the start of each arc. But it’s not hard to figure out what’s happened in the interim.
  21. That's not what's happening here. Every three episodes take place over a short amount of time. They aren't taking place over a year.
  22. They kept the original blue-white coloration that was chosen back in the days when Gundam's animation was hand-drawn. It was chosen because a pure white makes it harder to draw light effects. 'course, the whole "White Gundam" thing goes back to the original series where the Gundam was called the "White Guy" or "White Devil" by Zeon for its white paintjob... and Tomino's desire to have the whole thing just be flat white before getting overruled by marketing.
  23. By looking where the new toy differs from the original I can see what I think are some indications of what they were trying to do. This is what I have come up with so far.
  24. Wow, now that's an expensive piece of something not many of us are even aware of, or care of to spend that type of money. It's a cool piece, but for that price, well, yeah, no! It's cool that you have a set of them.
