cool8or
Chas, VF-1 fighter costs ¥1600, and have almost the same amount of plastic. http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG19/Sci And by the way.... Preordered both kits!!
Chas
Why do I remember them being more expensive than that? Anyway still a good deal.
vincemoto7
Anyone know if the 1/48 weapons set will come with pilots like the 1/72 kit (I'm thinking no, cuz they already come with the valkyrie)?
valkyriepilot
Chas: Not really, when you consider that a 1/72 VF-1 Super/Strike kit is around the same price. Here's a sample: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10037736 Edited August 27, 2014 by valkyriepilot

valkyriepilot
Well it's a good deal considering what I paid for my 3 Hasegawa gerwalk kits. Looks like my reply got displaced again, mobile foruming is really not the best way to go yet. Was actually replying to your earlier question of whether the Gerwalk kit seems too low priced
big F
Pre ordered mine last night along with a YF19 as a "spare" Price wise they seem cheaper, maybe the exchange rate is better for me now ?
vincemoto7
No, no pilot in the 1/48 weapon set. Yeah, that's what I thought... oh well, beggars can't be choosers I guess.

GMK
Any word on whether there's a TV cockpit too? Also, is it just me or does the 'backpack' look too small?
Jefuemon
Any word on whether there's a TV cockpit too? Also, is it just me or does the 'backpack' look too small? Right now, I'm going to assume that TV pilot also means TV cockpit. Should know for sure once Hasegawa releases actual photos.

big F
That box art captures what made the Arii box art so great. It's the 1980's all over again.

Aurora-7
That was a flash back moment for me. I remembered when I saw the first IMAI macross kits of the Variable Fighters and their dramatic artwork of all their modes.

big F
Could this herald a rebooted weapons set with the upgraded missiles ? More for us to spend our cash on.
Aurora-7
For myself, I'm hoping for a 1/72 VF-171 Nightmare Plus kit from Hasegawa. It makes sense after doing the Messiah and the Lucifer. I'd hope they'd do one before the start turning their attention to the new series kits. Bad enough a VF-17 was never done beyond a 1/144 by Bandai for Macross 7. And I don't want to pay $200.00+ for the Chogokin figure version Edited September 25, 2014 by Aurora-

Aurora-7
Ooops! My mistake. I thought they had. Well now I really won't be holding my breath for a VF-171 And is the Bandai version really that bad? I've not seen an actual kit myself.
