Picked up a weathered olive Tomahawk along the way couple years ago, and loving the subtle shadings it has compared to the normal version.

Nice to see the destroids get some love.

Yamato destroids may have pretty good articulation for its time. There are quite a bit of moving joints, but ultimately it falls a bit short by today's standards and Arcadia should have updated it a little in their recent re-issue. Specifically, the hips could do with a proper drop-down function to enable a wider & more dynamic A-stance and in this regard, the HMR is far superior by not only having said full drop-down hips, but the side skirt pieces also pivots upwards out of the way.

Pilot in cockpit still a nice touch though, even if he will be completely hidden most of the time.

Huh?  Never knew the destroids came with pilots.

Easy to forget once they are inside the destroid lol. I really do like the other mini-figs that came with them though, and wish Arcadia made more variety of them to include with their valks. The whole Firebomber mini-figs that came with the VF-19 Kai was a nice touch.

That's a good use of the Minmay decal. Yeah I too wish we had more options like this.

If we could get a decal or sticker that looks like one of Ryuji’s Misa scratch-build models. . . :shok: 🤤

Did they ever make a weathering version of the olive green?

Had these Lil Drakens right from when they were released. But this is the first time I'm mounting them onto a valk. I did know from the onset that I wanted them on the 31S instead of the 31F, due to how well the colors match..

Lil Drakens on VF-31 may seem to be an afterthought both in movie & toy form, yet strangely enough from certain angles (mostly from above) the Lil Draken's wings can look as though it geometrically matches the VF-31's. By slanting the ghosts' wings a certain way, it picks up & flows through where the VF-31's wings are cut off. Together with the matching paint scheme, it is as though the VF-31S now have extended delta wings with boosters in between.

Yeah the Lil Drakens actually look really good when paired with Arad's ride.

I would say the main disappointment with the HMR Tomahawk is its non-existence.

I was talking in general about the Destroids they've released so far, all with pretty tiny pilotless cockpits.

MKT caught what I meant😉

(But the HMR Tomahawk prototype does exist.)

+1 to that! How many years has it been since people were singing Bandai's praises because the HMR line was "the most complete line" of Macross toys?

I'm waiting Bandai to prove me wrong but Yamato 1/60 is still the most complete line of Macross toys.

This magazine scan is from 2017:

finally busted out the KC Hikaru. Gotta say it’s pretty cool to finally have some decent Macross character figures.

Looking vibrant! :good: Where are those mini-figs from again? Are they the ones that come with the old Arii VF-1?

Thanks! I got those minifigs and soda machine from fellow MWF member EXO 10 years ago. I'm not remembering where he got the figures from in the first place but he painted it.
