Skull 0ne Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 (edited) F-22? My mistake "edit" Edited May 9, 2005 by Skull 0ne
haro genki Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 The fighter mode reminded me of a Legioss at first...
zeo-mare Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 this has been posted before but it is nice, there was also another one. chris
mikeszekely Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 That thing's wearing like 6' heels. Still me likey. It reminds me of the orbital frames from ZOE. I think it's a pretty slick design.
Duke Togo Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 That thing's wearing like 6' heels. Still me likey. It reminds me of the orbital frames from ZOE. I think it's a pretty slick design. I agree. I like it more for robot mode than fighter mode.
Dangaioh Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 (edited) More like Capcom's Steel Battalion, if it was more like ZOE, then where's the Giant Crotch? Edited May 9, 2005 by Dangaioh
Toonz Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 the transformation seems to be much simpler than the yf21
drifand Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 That's a great job for an imaginary "stealth" variable jet. In real life, of course, the numerous protrusions behind the cockpit will probably light-up every radar around!
Druna Skass Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 I got bored and made the transformation sequence into a gif. It's a bit sloppy, but hey like I said, I was bored.
Skull 0ne Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 Does anyone now where it came from? I just found the pictures on 4chan, but the link that was given with it diden't look related.
cobywan Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 It reminds me of Gaia Gear too. Those were awesome designs too. I agree that this design is sweet.
Knight26 Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Typical TF type design, the engines disappear and if you look at the fighter mode the legs hang down quite a bit ruining the aerodynamics. Plus there is also the fact that the cockpit is the robot's head and therefore there is no room of a pilot. All in all an interesting design, but I will pass on it.
JELEINEN Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Eh. It looks good at first glance, but if you start looking at the details, it falls apart. I'd say it's a good first draft, but definitely needs work.

I agree with most of your assessment, but I don't think it's designed with a pilot in mind, and I think the engines are still part of the tail section/backpack (which is no less realistic that the VF-22's legs taking up a large portion of where it's engines should be). It's a nifty design, and would look great with some work.
drifand Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 (edited) Here's an improved GIF: Edited May 9, 2005 by drifand
Druna Skass Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Either way, still looks like it would be an LEV to me.
LinxCrossq Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 (edited) In middle transformation it looks like a chicken. 0_0 Edited May 9, 2005 by LinxCrossq
Druna Skass Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 In middle transformation it looks like a chicken. 0_0 That's what I was thinking when I was putting that gif togeather.
mikeszekely Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Yeah, it doesn't really look like a gerwalk mode would work for it.
Tico0001 Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Damn!! I like that a lot! But I also couldn't stop thinking that it looks like a chicken in mid-transformation... Besides that it's a really cool design... So no one has a clue where it came from? ~Tico
Skull 0ne Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 It looks cool. I like it! Now go buy 50 of them! CREEPY exo you avitar blinks
wwwmwww Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 this has been posted before but it is nice, there was also another one.chris True... but I don't remember seeing the transformation sequence before. I really like it. If someone makes a variable kit of this I'll certainly buy one. Carl
