    If the surface is visible, I sealed it. Which is why valks take more effort to completely cover vs Gundam and why it really, really helps if I can disassemble them. Only some areas aren't completely sealed that aren't visible, like the insides of the landing gear bay doors. It'll be interesting to see if they yellow while the sealed parts don't. But it's going to be a long wait and I don't plan on sticking them in the sun.

    Speaking of the VF-2SS, I was thinking of scanning the ET sticker sheet, then scaling it down and printing decals for the HMR version. But that will depend on how much I like the HMR VF-2SS (and whether or not I think it's worth the time and effort to work on).

    If you must have correct pilot spellings, you can always just buy one Hasegawa kit. I believe the S/J/A kit has decal names for all four main pilots. I'll pulled mine out to check when I get home. The entire kit is $15. I've scanned the Yamato sticker sheets and printed them as decals, but alas you can't print white.

    Plastic and human skin don't stay young forever. Enjoy your toys and youth while you can. Clear coating may halt or slow the yellowing if oxidation is the cause. But I don't have enough data on that. I'll let you guys know if any of my customized valks start to yellow (since they're all clear coated).

    That looks really good! Are you sure you didn't hire a ghost decaler to do it for you? Two hours for a bunch of decals on the legs sounds about right.

    The Aoshima release is probably the best completed Enterprise out there.

    These models came out around 2003-2005. Bandai released an original movie Enterprise, A, E, NX-01, and Voyager. Aoshima released a completed and illuminated Enterprise-D a couple years back that could saucer sep too. You can still find them on the secondary market from time to time.     That happened to me once. Stupid USPS sent it to the wrong PO in my city, buy instead of forwarding it on to the correct PO, they went and returned it to sender. Goddamn morons. I eventually did get the package... 4 months later. And having to pay the SAL shipping fee a second time.

    This is good news for those who still need the SDF-1 but don't want to pay the crazy 800k+ secondary market prices. The yen exchange rate is also way better today than it was in 2010 so the price increase might not be bad at all. In fact, I paid less for the Arcadia VF-4 reissue than I did for the original Yamato release. Of course I got my SDF-1 for 18000 yen way back when and I doubt I'll do better this time around.

    After Roy, I doubt I'll pick up any additional premium versions if Arcadia releases them. I'm not even sure I'll keep Hikaru and Roy. High price aside, although I really like them, they occupy a place of limbo in my collection because I already have the full TV and DYRL squadrons from Yamato and the Arcadia white won't match with the older Yamato whites. Well, maybe the TV whites are close enough, but definitely not the DYRL off-white. I can detail them up myself as well. Maybe I'll keep the tampo printed super parts and sell off just the valks. Now if Arcadia had brought back the rainbow canopies with the premium versions...
