My Lil Drakens arrived at the end of last week, but didn't have time to open it till today. Also my first time transforming one of my 262s. That transformation is only slightly nuts. I think she looks better with the sword than the gunpod.

The little one has been reunited with his mommy, so all's well. A good thing too, because they need 'round the clock feeding at that age, and I have to go to work. I would contact Mandarake and let them know about it so they can file a claim on their end. Then I'd file a claim yourself with USPS and provide that info to Mandarake. Since you actually received the item, I wouldn't be too hopeful of any compensation. I don't know of any instance where USPS actually reimbursed anyone short of them losing the package entirely. -
Until there's an announcement from Bandai that they're definitely going to release a 1/1800 SDF-1, I consider it to be in the same vaporware category as the Monster Arts Vajra. I certainly wouldn't skip the PF SDF-1 just because of a slim chance that Bandai might release something at some indeterminate point in the future, possibly within our lifetimes.

LMAO thanks! In a bizarre coincidence, my cat is also named Harvey. How perfect would it have been if this was the storm that finally did me in? Perhaps not all of them were damaged while in USPS possession, but I'm certain the ones wrapped in USPS tape and have a note of apology attached were damaged by USPS. The others may have been damaged by Japan Post or whoever they're contracting to move packages overseas before being handed off to USPS.

They should be easy to pick up on Mandarake after they're released. Hayate and Keith's parts show up there regularly, with only a small markup.

You might be able to get reimbursed for up to 6000 yen for SAL if you can show your items were damaged by USPS handling. If it's just the box and the item inside is fine, USPS won't give you anything. I've gotten reimbursed by USPS before, but only because they completely lost the package. Is this really the first time you've gotten a damaged parcel from USPS? I get damaged boxes all the time, courtesy of USPS incompetence. Here's a small sampling of beaten up boxes I've received:

Switched my Sheryl and VE-1 to CDJ as it ended up being 123 yen cheaper shipped than HLJ's pre-shipping price. HLJ definitely is not the lowest price, but they'll actually take care of you if you get a damaged item. Pretty much all the other shops have a policy of "tough sh**" if you receive a damaged or defective item.

Got my VE-1 and anniversary Sheryl at HLJ. Still all available at Amiami, HS, and HLJ as I type this. "Preorder madness" pffft this is amateur hour.

Haha sorry Noel but it ain't going to be one of my orders. Already paid for two of them. Last one is with HLJ so I can't pay that one yet. Only two of these are mine; the third is going to a local fellow Macross collector. He gets the most expensive of the three.

Regular Figuarts are in the ballpark of 1/12 scale. Figuarts Zero varies a lot depending on what Bandai feels like. The Frontier F-Zero figures were noticeably bigger, maybe about 1/10 scale.

It's an HMR non-hero unit. The only "preorder madness" will be if you got completely sloshed before attempting to place an order.

The 25th and 30th anniversary valks have all been pretty ugly, IMO. Will probably cancel the "Messer" VF-1 because, man, those huge pink nipples lol Maybe the 35th anniversary will be better. The bottom right corner says "1982, 2015 Big West." So I'm guessing it'll probably be a VF-1J with some kind of Delta-related paint scheme in the vein of the HMR version.
