    I was going to bring this up, but didn't because of the sheer amount of Robotech-hate on this forum But the figures do look neat and I will be buying the superest dooperest version of the game possible. If this version sells well then they'll look to doing the Southern Cross and New Generation as well, which are the ones that really interest me.

    I stopped playing due to the never-ending "go kill X of Y creature" only to have the next part of the quest yet another "kill X of Z creature". Over and over and over again... The multiplayer conversations was a brilliant thing, though. Very nifty.

    The limbs was one example that bugs me. The other is the hood becoming the chest and the roof ending up on the back. That's a format that follows almost all the car-bots through most of the toy lines. That's part of the reason I really like the new RiD car Vehicon. His transformation is so unique and different from the mould

    Those are the alternators, yes? Very pretty toys, but I dislike the uniformity of their transformation. Do Car-bots ALWAYS have to have the arms fold into the front tires and the legs fold up into the back?

    Kayden. Kaideen. Kaaden. Kaiden- oh, him! Yeah, he's so bland I totally forgot I left him on Virmire. In fact, I even forgot he was the topic of our conversation here. Say what you will about Ashley, at least she isn't bland or fades into the background.

    Really? Then who is the strange human male wandering around the Citadel? He seems rather bland, to be honest.

    While Ashley kinda got the shaft in the romance department (big shock there ) I wholly agree that the cuteness level of that whole DLC is just amazing. For some reason, I find myself giggling over and over again about Traynor and her toothbrush...

    Possibly, but for me (the lone vocal Robotech fan on the boards *powerfist*) is that Kyhron's success made the last half of the series worthwhile. Because he did so much damage, caused so much destruction, killed so many main characters, it validated the threat he presented throughout. In Macross, all his actions amount to very little since the Macross is rebuilt, the city isn't damaged, the main characters all survive... I find that kind of ending rather anticlimactic and unsavoury. Kyhron made a lasting effect with his plans, Kamezin (sp?) did not.

    Patrick Stewart is my definitive example of Gurney Hallack. When someone was reaching towards his Duke, Gurney intercepted first and made certain that no harm came to Duke Atredies. Plus being a general badass all 'round. Nobody else comes close.

    I just saw Peaugh's review of Blackbird / not!Silverbolt. I thought David was being a little too harsh because the toys aren't plane-accurate enough but after watching that review... It literally is just an oragami'd up robot with an SR-71 shaped blob strapped to its back. I'm glad I haven't spent any money on this set...

    I think I like Hercules more than Giant. Giant seems more G1ish and Hercules is a better homage to the concept. Both are still too pricy for me, though

    I can't stand Grimmy's hollow chest in Robot mode. Plus the hollowness in Dino mode is a turnoff as well.

    In anticipation of DUST 514 (and to use up some gift cards leftover from XMas) I have purchased a PS3. Since most games are multiplatform now and the one console exclusive I want is on PS3, I broke down and bought one. So, speak to me as a recent convert: what games should I look to indulge in?
