  1. Under normal circumstances, I'd agree with you. "Just roll with it if it's good watching" being a personal mantra of mine. But I have too much national pride to just let this one slide ... *autotarget orbiting laser*...
  2. Bah. Canada got shafted in that movie. Way to rewrite history, Hollywood *grumble*.
  3. Any idea on a price point for that new Metroplex?
  4. Good sequence but suffers from a lack of Kenny Loggins. Who needs stupid symphony orchestras when you can have 80s rock and roll?
  5. Not!Hardhead = Want Not!Superion= Possible Not!Divebomb= Want Not!Predaking= DOWANT!DOWANT!DOWANT!DOWANT!DOWANT! Wallet: "Not happening, buddy. Try again later."
  6. Pretty much Though more recent Macross releases seem to have dropped them in favour of making everything transformable.
  7. Actually, I prefer Veritech. It flows off the tounge a little easier, what with fewer syllables to deal with. Plus, it also means that the technology isn't implied to only apply to fighter jets; hence the Cyclone ( ). One thing I've always enjoyed about Robotech is how the mecha seemed to take a combined Force of Arms, with non-variable battloids and destroids in the mix as well as the transformable Veritechs.
  8. *little squee for Robotech love*
  9. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh. Me wanty!
  10. I love the transformation for RID Vehicon. I'm so annoyed with car-type transformers that share (virtually) the same transformation of the the rear wheels becoming the legs/feet and the front wheels becoming the arms. Watching RID Vehicon flip up and over and onto itself so many times... Do want!
  11. I imagine that the plastic they save on each figure is instead allocated to the giant honkin' weapons as you say. And yes, I dislike the weapons as well. They're another big reason why my selection of Prime toys is limited to the FE figures thus far.
  12. Grimlock's entire torso is hollow from the back with only his dino head to kindasortamaybe fill it in. That's almost as bad as completely hollow legs like on FoC Prime to me. I like Transformers as much as anyone on these boards, but I'm just a bit pickier on what I'll actually buy.
  13. Hollow spaces are fugly and not wanted. The video makes him look like a lightweight Generations toy, which I don't want. Pass.
  14. Meh. The boxy-thing prevents us from bitching about endless amounts of ammunition for the gatling gun
  15. The part that really gets me are the hollow legs on many newer figures. That was an acceptable compromise in the 80s with its limited technology, but c'mon. More than 30 years later and that's still all we get?
  16. Yeah, I have to say: heroic is MUCH easier than legendary. Adding in two more bodies just makes it seem like cheating I dunno, maybe I'm just not used to having double-digit deaths in a game of Spartan Ops...
  17. That's exactly right. But when most people hear "oil prices are going up" they assume it only means gasoline and transportation costs are going up. I work in the plastics industry and it's much harder to make a profit when you raw material costs $1.00 per pound instead of $0.70 per pound.
  18. It isn't just rising oil and gas prices that have hurt Hasbro; plastic prices have gone way up as well. It's getting harder for them to make a profit without totally adjusting their prices, so if you notice a lot of their newer figures have much less plastic in them. Hollow spaces, cavities, and the like.
  19. I guessed the stinger about halfway through the trailer. At least they're not dragging it out until the very last shot of the film.
  20. Hmm. I'm detecting no fear on your part. Don't you think you could at least try a little harder to quake in terror? Maybe just a smidgen?
  21. The only thing I would've liked about the campaign is a bit more of a plot hook to lead into Halo 5. Doesn't have to be a cliffhanger, but something to whet our appatites until the next game comes out.
  22. See, it's topics like this that remind me of my utter noobishness when it comes to the game. I hope onto multiplayer to enjoy the game, get some rounds in, and advance the plot of Spartan Ops. This one-upmanship about achievements and rankings and points is not my cup of tea... ... yet. Watch out.
  23. So it appears we won't actually finish season 1 of Spartan Ops until late January. That sucks.
