The BR is useless. The Magnum has been useless since it got nerfed in Halo 2. Frag grenades would be better if they had a longer throwing arc. DMR = love. Assault Rifle = spray'n'pray. Sniper Rifle = $$$.

Same team as yesterday? If so, great! It means I won't be consistently last again!! As I've discovered, my preferred methodical approach to Halo combat (namely: as far away as humanly possible) doesn't translate that well with a team of runners'n'gunners who like their combat up close and personal.

Be thankful you're getting the option of playing. I'm at work already and won't be done for another 9 hours. Then another 12 hour shift tomorrow night. I might have to wait until Wedensday to take on Chapter 5 at all... Also, from the intro to Chapter 5: Thorn, you IDIOT!!

I'm glad to have more than one person along side. The microphone makes things so much easier, considering there doesn't seem to be a text messaging system. However, I have to remember to put it on mute when doing things that don't sound too good over a microphone *innocent whistle* Who, me???

So, I maintain that Spartan Ops is a fabulous addition to the Halo game. Not just a horde/firefight mode, but it's got a driving plot behind it that makes the actions of the game seem reasonable. That seems to be something that 343 is focusing on in this game and hopefully the 2 that are to follow it. In tonight's Spartan Ops adventures, I realized that dying and respawning is a popular pasttime on Legendary mode It's something quite spectacular to hit a switch and see your radar screen go almost solid red with the dots of your enemies. Fortunatly, Benson and I had a third member join us and we made quick work of them all... until Hunters dropped in. Not just 2 Hunters, since that'd be too easy. Noooo, the game spanked us with FOUR of them. That led to the highlight of my night, where I got gutted by a Hunter as I charged its back, and then it swung its massive arm around and took out my two companions in one blow. TPK in two moves. I tip my hat to you, Hunter. You did your species proud.

Just took on Spartan Ops Episode 2 with Benson. Let me preface by saying that Legendary is *so* much easier with three or four players. 2 players means dying. Lots and lots of dying. Dying couple with the worst spawning of all time. Die, respawn in the middle of combat, and have an elite kill me again almost as soon as I spawned in. Repeat x a billion Still, rediculous amounts of fun. Thanks a lot, Benson!

Yeah, I've had that happen to me as well. For a while I thought it was my internet connection and/or network, but now I hear it's happening to other people as well. And I lost my two best performances to that bug... Is anyone up for hitting Spartan Ops Episode 2 tonight? I'm thinking Legendary, but only with help

I work afternoons (this week, anyway) so I'm usually on from 9-0300 PST. I'm really looking forward to glomping some people to get caught up in Spartan Ops Also? Team Slayer is Teh BOMB!

So I just put my Xbox online and signed up for LIVE Gold. I've spent the last 3 hours blowing the crap out of other people on multiplayer and I have to ask WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?!?! Srsly. Tons of fun Now, I'm an utter, complete, total noob at this. Anyone here willing to friend up and help a Spartan out? I'm also looking for partners for Spartan Ops. (gawd, this feels like TOR all over again. "LFG LFG LFG...")

The more I think about it, the more I've come to realize that as long as they keep the core tenents of Robocop the same: a man fighting his way out of a machine existence, then I'll be happy. The redesigns, the music, the acting... I can work with all of those as long as I get that basic premise. And... y'know... buckets and buckets of violence.

Is there anything new or interesting with his transformation? The lack of originality or "masterpiece-ness" is why I passed on Sideswipe, and the only gimmick I see with Soundwave are his tapes. -

So... uh... what IS that second disc for? And yes, very intense and visceral and different. I can't think of many "shooter" games with that level of emotional develoment for their PCs.

Hey, we live in a world where someone can make a zillion dollars and way too much publicity by (badly) writing a Twilight fanfic and then filing off the serial numbers and selling it as high-grade erotica. This should NOT surprise at all. -
Having just finished the campaign, I have to say wow. Not just wow, but wow. I tip my hat to 343 Industries for not only making a Halo game, but a Halo game with impact. Very enjoyable. Especially the music; it's very obvious that this soundtrack is totally different than anything Marty McDonnel came up with, but it's just as great. It's not as much raw, adrenaline pumping music that makes you want to grab a DMR and blow away some grunts and jackals, but it still makes you feel very heroic as you battle your way through the last levels. And speaking of the last levels...

The part that really surprises me is the plot and story. Yeah, it was praised by all the reviews, but I'm honestly blown away by the depth and content in this story, especially Cortana. Very enjoyable.
