Meandered by my local TRU last night. As usual they had the Deluxe First Edition Optimus/Megatron combo. But they also had some FE Starscreams (*yoink!*) and Bumblebee (*pass*). The Till Lady said they didn't have any Arcee's yet but the computer said they were due to be in. I hold out hope.

Whatever else he does, Liam Neeson has the ability to make whatever movie he's in better by the sheer virtue... of having him star in it. Even if it's just his scenes, he does that. Kinda like Tommy Lee Jones in that respect.

How so?

The problem with the Toynami is that the factory which produced them couldn't be up to the engineering standards. I transforrmed my first-edition Blue Alpha once in each direction and have left it alone. That being said, I also prefer the proportions of the Toynami compared to the CMs, which took a few more liberities in its design.

Speaking of, any ideas what Fansproject's next project will be? Something for the fans, I presume?

So, I just had my first real taste of what an MMO is capable of compared to any other style of game, in both the good ways and the bad. I'm on Ven Zallow server, on Tattoine. It's a PVP-RP server, but the only Sith player I'd seen was on Nar Shaddaa and all he did was posture while I hopped into an air taxi. Then I started playing on Tattoine when I (with my level 28 Jedi Sentinel) ran across a Level 50 Sith Lord while on my class quest. Welp. Needless to say, I didn't last long. I respawned and continued on... only to run into her again. This time I got sneaky and hurled myself off the nearest cliff. Yes, I died in my suicide, but the opposing player followed me and crumpled to death beside me. A pyrrhic victory, but a victory nonetheless. Sadly, that was only the beginning. A different Sith started wandering around Tattoine, following me on my class missions. She'd wait until I was engaged in combat with the Sand People before decloaking and stabbing me in the back. Argh, that wasn't fun at all. So I'm on my way back to the Thorazen basecamp for more medkits when a speeder appears over the horizon: another level 50 Sith Lord. Welp x2. I start weaving back and forth, jumping, doing anything i can to keep away when the basecamp appears ahead. Oh good, I should be safe in there. I have a sliver of HP left when I round the corner, the Sith Lord right on my ass... When like Han Solo in Star Wars, he ran smack into the gathering of Republic forces inside the base. It was glorious. He charged around the corner, eager to gank me, and didn't even realize what had happened when 7 Jedi, Troopers, and a Smuggler (with their companions) all targetted him and just opened up. We were all mid-high 20s in level against his 50 Sith Lord, but he couldn't stop the Zerg Rush. Five minutes of furious keyboard hammering and he goes down, then we cheer and openly mock him on the chat channel. He respawns and tries to sneak away, but we gut him a second time. After two full days of Republics complaining about high-level Sith campers just ganking us mid-levels as we go about our quests, that was so satisfying. Even moreso when you think about how unplanned it was. "He's here?! Run aw- BAH! Git 'im!" Of course, he and his fellows have gone back to their camping ways, forcing us to group up just to do our class/side quests. I hate being ganked

RIght now, I'm hip-deep into TOR. I have officially mortgaged my soul to that game and would even use it in an IV for life-support if I could That being said, there's a Transformers MMO due out later this year. I may have to find ways of dividing my time...

Has there been any noise about a Stateside release of MP-10 and MP-11? I missed out on the first two incarnations, but I'm not willing to pay the $200 or so for the Japanese versions.

Yeah, that's at TRU. I think I might have seen one Voyager Prime Prime toy, but that doesn't really interest me. I want Starscream, Arcee, and Voyager Bulkhead.

Why must Canada be the Hasbro ghetto? It took forever to get any Rodimus' up here, let alone decent toys from the RTS/Classics line, and the only Prime toys we have are the Optimus/Megatron deluxe two-pack. Hasbro, I are dissapoint.

My local TRUs were having a Christmas sale: All Transformers 40%. All sizes, all scales, all makes; so I very quickly went "Yoink!" and nabbed myself a 25th Aniv. Unicron. First impressions: size. Holy crap, he is HUGE! His feet alone are bigger than my RTS Hot Rod! Second impression: Tightness. His joints are absurdly tight, the ratches seem almost welded into place and I'm honestly frightened by the amount of torque I'm having to put in just to get his arms to move. Yes, it's not the same as a ridiculously over-engineered MP Hot Rod where 0.00002% over-torque will pop off panels and bits, but still! Third Impression: size. He's so huge in robot mode that I had to clear off the top shelf of my bookcase to give him the breathing room he needs. Plus, now he looks all god-like and domineering the lesser transformers beneath him Four impression: size. I just cannot get over how big this toy is. Makes me wonder how Fort. Max would work out...

That was my favourite part, oddly enough. I liked how Loki wasn't a kill'em'all villian at the start, like the Red Skull. I see this movie was watching Loki's descent into villiany, showing how he ended up at such a low level. He went from tricky and low-brow, through to anger and shock, add in a dash of jealousy, and finally end up with psycopathic supervillian as he attempts to wipe out a whole planet. I strongly suspect that his next appearance in Avengers will be more like your "tricky mastermind type" where he knows who he is and has decided that being a supervillian has its perks

When does TF Prime Season 2 come out?

I just completed the Forge part of Tython (Jedi Knight for me) and my shiny new lighsaber... doesn't show up in my inventory or character screen. I'm still using my Apprentice Lightfoil. Bug or what? EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. Curse that tiny little window popping up! I wish the game had a manual or tutorial that came with the digital editions.

It's really bizzare to quit out of an RPG without hitting the save button half a dozen times

So I'm having a lot of fun with the game, but there are a few annoying things about it. I'm a console gamer, I make no bones about this; so using WASD to manouver around is... interesting. Also annoying is that I have to physically walk until I'm in range of my target; I'd prefer to have an auto-move function, where I target my opponent, hit the attack button, and my character automatically moves until he's in range and makes with the stabbity/shootity. Is there anyway I can enable that?

So I just bought a new desktop, one with more than enough oomf to drive TOR. Now, let me at that Beta weekend!

I like how it mirrored the first trailer for WFC, where the Decepticons revealed Trypticon and the autobots answered with Omega Supreme (I would've gone with Metroplex myself, but...). Here? The Decepticons reveal a combiner as their powerful backup unit. Prime? He looks over at motherf(%$*ing Grimlock! I did't get or play WFC, I think I'll remedy that with this one

Actually, I will believe that. The viz effects in the movies is just mind-boggling. From Scorpinok's attack in the first one, through the mind-boggling forest fight in ROTF, to... well... any scene in DOTM with the 'bots in it, the films have set a much higher watermark for me as far as movie effects go. I'm still in awe of how the forest battle in ROTF honestly made these CGI effects seem like they had mass, like they really were giant robots duking it out with trees as jousting sticks.
