  1. It's not that they hate people. Far from it, they've found a way to make themselves famous and get accolades (from some) and attention (from the rest). They're nothing but basement-dwelling troglodytes who have found their 15 minutes of fame and are milking it for all they can. Fortunatly, they're doing it in a way that's pissing people off and highly illegal, so pretty soon the FBI and PATRIOT ACT will be knocking on their doors
  2. I'm against microtransactions because it encourages to buy their way to a decent character instead of working for it. And that just takes all the fun away from things for me.
  3. I truely hope TOR isn't powered by microtransactions. That's the one thing, the only thing, that stands in my path of playing this game.
  4. It has space combat as a rail-shooter.
  5. Nah, they won't. You're screwed!
  6. Some parts of that video drew an HSQ outta me, but I'll wait to see how its implimented and if any of those come to pass. I haven't been impressed with a new controller setup, with the exception of the Kinect demonstrating the Star Wars game. That wowed me
  7. Yeah, that's what they're doing. The trailers were released in reverse chronological order, setting up the stage for something much like the Prequels. For example, the soldier in Return is the same one starring in Hope. That also explains some backstory between Satele Shan's duel with Malgus in Hope, given that he'd killed her master in Return. It's also been suggested that the Twi-lik the smuggler was ogling turned out to be Malgus' wife in Deceived. Also, I second the notion that this game will take over my life. Fortunatly, it should come out before ME3 so hopefully I'll break the TOR hold long enough for ME3, then jump right back into the fold. Dust 514 will also figure somewhere in this picture...
  8. Jehuty is one of the more original and awesome mecha designs. Except for the <censored> cockpit!
  9. See, I tried EVE once and couldn't make it out of the gate. The vertical learning cliff was too difficult for me to grok and it wasn't until after I gave up on it that I learned there were specific "quests" that could be done to help level up. I guess I'm just used to BioWare's usual RPG story of guiding the player onwards. But the more I read about EVE, and this is where TVTropes really does help, the more I want to be a part of that universe. To have that sort of sandbox and player-controlled space where our actions do have an effect is what I dream of playing with. It looks like Dust will let me join in on that rather nicely.
  10. All this talk and not one of you has mentioned the new trailer for The Old Republic? Shame on you all! Also, I just saw the news that DUST514's 360 release has been canned and is now a PS3 exclusive. Between that and an HD ZOE rerelease, I just might have to pick up a PS3 finally. Might. No promises, though.
  11. That makes sense when you consider their reproductive cycle, being composed/constructed of many different species.
  12. Aww, man! This movie is going to suck rocks! Bwa... fwa... I may have to rethink that statement...
  13. Yeah, but compare her to Brittany Spears or Lindsay Lohan, or Amy Weinhouse. There are no stories about Fox throwing wild parties, starting drunken brawls or flashing her bits at every reporter when she gets out a car... Is the best actress? Nah. Is she better than most of her media-peer group? Seems to be.
  14. Oooh, not-Soundwave has techspecs. And decent ones, too. Not like most these days where the average is like 9.5/10 for all ranks... Has a release date been set for MP Hot Rod? What about the rerelease (with fixes) of MP Rodimus Prime?
  15. Actually, I think that helped rather than hindered them. Forced the producers to stay on target more than other films, with all the spiny shiney goodness. Also? Carey Lowell is my favourite Bond Girl, stemming from when she walks into the bankers office all dressed up as Bond's "executive secretary". That, or the smoking evening gown she wore to his casino trip.
  16. I'd actually like to see Megan Fox do this movie. What can I say? I actually like her as an actress and think she doesn't deserve half as much flak that she gets.
  17. License to Kill, GoldenEye, and Tomorrow Never Dies are my favourite Bond films. I really like Timothy Dalton's take-crap-from-no one approach, and I think the first two Brosnan films were outstanding. He brought the right amount of charm, boyish glee, and downright psycopathy to the role. Much improved over Moore's take.
  18. What does she say at the end of trailer #2? Also, I'm still on the fence about this film. It looks... I 'unno. Maybe not worth the prices movie theatres charge these days.
  19. What was fixed for the Japanese re-release?
  20. *coughcough*video*coughcough*
  21. Any idea when the leader-class Optimus and Megatron are due out?
  22. Nah. My favourite line: "How are we going to find him?" *throws car into reverse* *BAM!* "I swear I'm not doing this on purpose!* Also: "We drank, we fought, he made his ancestors proud." As for comparing it to Iron Man 1, I can see that it doesn't quite hold up to that standard if only because nobody could have the charm that RDJ brought to Tony Stark in that film.
  23. While Mass Effect deserves much praise for the depth of its setting, I have to go with Dragon Age right now. From the times of the Tevinter Imperium, through the rise of the Darkspawn and the Grey Wardens, to the apperance of the Chantry and Templars and Circle Mages... You want to talk about layers and layers of detail? Talk DA. Second to that would be Star Wars. "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights have been the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic." From that one line in the first movie, a whole universe has slowly been fleshed out. From times even before then, to the founding of the Jedi Order, the various conflicts caused by the two major competing religions... and that's not even counting that whole Rebel/Imperial war-type-thing
