After having two nights to think about it, I'm still upset they didn't give Watson a red camera eye for an avatar...

If you include War For Cybertron (which looks awesome but I have not played), then you need to include Exodus, the Transformers novel. Of course, everyone knows that my mental version of Transformers (including personal disconinuity like Primacon) is the most accurate, be-all TF canon -
The Singularity has more to it than mere AI takeover. That's just one of the possible situations that could cause the Singularity. Massive bionic augmentation, cybernetic connection, uploading conciousness...

It wouldn't be an event if they didn't blabber on about it. Besides, this is a momentous occasion for the audience (both studio and TV) and they probably didn't know as much about it as we internet denizens did. That being said, I really enjoyed how Watson didn't have a choke-hold on the answers. It didn't ring in if it wasn't confident in the answer and didn't know that the previous player had used a wrong answer (which it then repeated). So far, looking quite entertaining. Can't wait for tomorrow's continuation.

You forgot the UK Comics and the US comics. They both kinda merged together once Simon Furman took over, though. -
While waiting for my sister-in-law to finish her day surgery, I took a whim of a trip to a non-local TRU and found the Cyclonus vs Hot Rod two-pack. Yay! I've been looking for this for almost a year now, since FansProject announced their Protector upgrade. First thoughts? Twist-tie hell! I haven't bought a TF since the very first Alternator came out all those many moons ago. Snip snip sn-AUUGH *grabs and yanks* Ow! Grrrrrr. Second thoughts? Holy crap, these joints are tight. The tabs seem to be slightly out of place, making me force the parts into place, but when they click in, they're nice and tight. Also? Hot Rod's windows are opaque. Yuck!

See, I'd rather see Optimus as a faction leader, not just a fighter. He's the ultimate authority of all the Autobots and I'd like to see more of that. See more strategizing, more plotting and planning. I'd like to see a character worthy of the Matrix, not just another soldier. That being said, his fights do tend to kick ass, don't they? -

I liked parts of ROTF. The fights, obviously, but I also enjoyed the Twin's dialog (not the twins themselves, though). I also enjoyed how they touched on the deeper mythos of the Transformers. "If God created us in His image... who created them?" But the overall package? Ugh, is all I can say. -
Unbearably cool. But- ack! Dude! I love the detailed photos and all, but they even stretch my screen. I can only imagine how someone with less than a 30" monitor deals...

Technology you F'ng hate thread

Technology I hate? Bass speakers. Specifically, the kind that morons mount on their cars because they think blasting their poo-for-music out at everyone around them is cool. It is not. I especially hate being stuck at a red light with them, totally drowning out my music or conversations. -
It's... it's... huge!. Past huge. Past gigantic. Past enormous... it's ginormous! Oh. Um. Hmm... I blame lack of sleep.

Where can I find updated pictures of that ginormous Devistator from TF Club? My google-fu is weak.

Where did you see Devistator? -
Rodimus Prime is my second-favourite character in the whole franchise. I never really understood the hate-on most of the fandom has for him, and I especially liked the implications his existance has for the rest of the transformers: that their great leaders, the Primes, all had humble beginnings and brought those beginnings with them: Optimus was a cautious, careful leader while Rodiums was rather more gung-ho because of his Hot Rod-origins. And is it wrong that I think this much about a cartoon?

While cellphones in general don't bother me, I'm really starting to get my hate-on for voice-activated features. "Call Brother-home." "DID YOU SAY, CALL SUPERVISOR?" "Call. Brother. Hooooome." "DID YOU SAY, CALL PIZZA PLACE?" "Cancel. Call numbers. "DID YOU SAY, CALL MOTHER?" At about this point, my head go a'splode. -
Yeah, but both of 'em blow the 360 outta the water. Pity, since that's the system I've got.

I still prefer Prime's BK commercial from the first movie. "You need a driver, too." "Oh, come on!" -
The only Vangelus review I've seen so far was his Fansproject Protector upgrade. I found his over-acting to be graiting and too narmy for my taste, but his 4th wall-breaking subtitles more than made up for it. Several times I had to pause the review because I was eye-rolling too hard or laughing too hard

What really made me pass on this toy was the ginormous gap between the chest plate and backplate in robot mode. What sort of "masterpiece toy" would allow that and still be deserving of the title?

That's what I thought too... until I got to ME2, where there were so many choices that needed the renegade option. Bioware wasn't kidding when they called ME2 the "dark, middle chapter of the trilogy". Speaking of the trilogy, has any information been released about ME3 and its gameplay? I'll be sorely disapointed if we have to gather yet another team together, unless it's a combo of the teams from the first two games. I don't think there'll be enough time to really give a satisfying ending to the plotline, to the characters we've grown attached to, and introduce a whole new roster all in the same game. And I'll be even more disapointed if we don't get more than one scene with our ME1 love interest

It'll be interesting to compare the DOTM Starscream to the original TF Starscream and see how far the engineering has come. Remember all the robot bits sticking out in fighter mode? -
While I enjoyed both games, I still can't quite get over the cockpit placement in the designs. Yeesh...
