  1. There's only one fact I want confirmed: That Ashley will be present in ME3 and I'll get a bonus/scene for staying true to her instead of falling for Miranda's charms. Give me that and I'll be a happy gamer.
  2. Nah, SR-2. Faster elevators
  3. Ugh, not more replicators. The idea was cool in SG-1, but pounded into stupidity by being the crutch the PTBs always fell back on.
  4. In no particular order: Saber Rider (English version) (I know, I know. Flogged and all that ) Robotech (and, just to prove that I do like some modern stuff [and stave off any further flogging from the above])
  5. I wouldn't call TJ & Young's affair, with the subsequent fallout (divorce, child, interpersonal issues) being highlighted as "no backstory". Personally, I loved watching those two interact. In public, she's the subordinate officer, but in private she switches gears and becomes his (ex)mistress and verbally smacks him down when he was wrong. That was fun to watch
  6. I imagine there's only so much polarizing a suit can do when facing a Type O Supergiant. Either way, I was on my seat if they were going to kill her off or not (and they probably should have). Also, Lt. James once again shows herself to wickedly awesome; first with that glorious elbow (discussion? Pheh, who needs a discussion!) and secondly by making herself bait. From the look on her face, I'd say that she didn't think Varro was there.
  7. Why must this show have gotten so good while closing in on its end? The first season was fabulous, I'd even say brilliant sci-fi, but now the plot and characters have all gelled and it's fabulously enetertaining. Damn you, Syfy. Damn you to hell!
  8. No great loss there...
  9. cf: Anonymous. If the harddrive fits...
  10. It might have something to do with the time invovled. Does the movie-Ark have the 3 million year-old new ship smell?
  11. Can you put a can of pop beside this beast so we can get a sense of scale for the finished monster?
  12. The issue is, will this new film follow the canon put down by Terminator: Salvation. For better or worse, all of the Terminator films advanced the story, and to have a new one that ignored what came before? Not cool, dude.
  13. The thing is, SGU has always had comedy in it. Just not the in-your-face slapstick of Atlantis and (to a lesser degree) SG-1. For reference, the previous episode 2-16 when McKay stoned onto the ship and immediatly stared at Lt. James' rack "Hey! *points at eyes* Up here."
  14. I thought the movie did rather well for itself as-is, but it did need a little more exposition. If the Matrix went overboard with the wordiness, this is a movie that needed more. Why are the games being played? Where are the programs who compete in them com from? Are they from the general citizen body or what? And tell us more about the idle programs inhabiting the Grid.
  15. I thought Rush was awesomely devious in the episode. Leave it to him to derail Eli, crush Volker's hopes, and prove himself as Top Scientist Dog all in the same day. I wish I could be half the Magnificent Bastard that he is The rest of the episode was meh, save for the TJ/Varro bits. Bad show *whaps with newspaper* bad! I ship TJ/Young.
  16. No, he rode a lightcycle. Duh.
  17. Has the third film been greenlit or announced yet? Or is it still just wishful thinking?
  18. True. Also true
  19. Yeah, where's your WFC Prime? Huh?! Huh?!
  20. I think I'm the only person that truly despised this movie. It's like they took the original and handed the reigns over to George Lucas with the battle against Zurel the most egregious example. Spinning backflip, wtf? I look at the original series, which used its limited budget to perfection and this... now I understand the hatred people direct towards the Prequels. I thought 1.0 wasn't that bad, save for a tad rushed. This one makes me want to ignore the next two films altogether.
  21. When will Hasbro/Takara stop sucking at the teat of Optimus Prime? Yeesh, the first MP was a glorious toy that proved the idea of large-scale, absurdy detailed TF toys that would sell. Mission accomplished and spawning a whole new line of toys at the same time. MP Starscream and Hot Rod both stand out as glorious updates that I regret not getting (something about eating coming first...). I'd love to see an MP-grade triple-changer, just to see how the engineering would work out. If not that, then Fortress Maximus. Anything but another goddamned Optimus Prime.
  22. *cough*Macross 7*cough*
  23. So you're saying to skip that extra cup of coffee in the morning? Gotcha. *slogs down a tall Monster* Ready when you are!
