Who ever buys something, and they're unhappy with it, then they have every right to complain. Then whether others want to hear them out or not, that is their right too. Show only the box cover to your non-collector friends, and ask them what they think the figures are mostly made of? The will say metal, so casual buyers are not at fault. Even more according to some Ebay listings.

I missed out on the Regult... at the time I met my wife and distanced myself from collecting. Maybe Bandai will re-release it?

There's a lot of Macross fans on just the anime culture that when purchasing the odd piece, rely on the brand's name and online visuals, or only familiar with the general quality/size per size of less priced toys. For anyone with the slightest experience with a Metal Build or general Bandai around this price range, they'll think it's something to that when seeing Hi-Metal + Bandai. And these buyers, rightfully, shouldn't go online hunting for forums or reviews to justify the quality of a 120-170 toy purchase of an established brand. That said, I don't own the 0S, only the 0D, but I've seen online images of how the light goes through the 0S including the Max edition. Thankfully this is not the case with the 0D. It seems Bandai listened and thanking, as the dropping price of the peg warming 0S is only bad news for us Macross Zero fans for future planned releases.

It's also the small scale with thinner parts that creates this impression. They probably could have used a denser yet slightly more elastic compound plastic, but that might have costed too much and even increased the weight, which adds up when shipping out cases of them. But, I'm also glad they didn't go done the path of a PVC compound, sure heavier, more rubbery for less stress, but eventually hardens to easily break or becomes sticky.

Shouldn't one of the 2 refund you something? Even if you're an opener, mint boxes are the norm for all buyers.

Can you make a claim for the damage?

The metal build fandom still towers over the macross collectors. I've seen crazy collections, like 3-4 of each and filling entire apartments.

Finally opened it. I don't have the 0S to compare, but the plastic is like a blend of SH figuarts and Robot Evas 2020 release. So I'm fine with it. Instructions not clear enough, should have been in colour, doesn't show reverse transformation, and not well planned, example, it shows the Gerwalk stand adopter needs to be inserted prior to locking the legs AFTER it shows how to lock the legs. Blue isn't seamless as the grey parts with the blue painted on it are a bit lighter depending on your room's light. The knee sliding out joints are bit loose, and the arms could have been tighter. The forward winglets don't have a angle lock for plane mode. Due to the scale, transformation requires careful steady transformation. Overall, a beautiful piece, great detail and the proportions perfect. And even though there's some nice heft, it does feel like a already built but firmer model kit to display. Still a definite buy.

Haven't opened mine yet, Will let you know later when I do.

Pretty much flogged most of my Star wars. No longer interested in it even though it was my collection's flagship as I collecting since as a kid. Only kept a few pieces. Rarest left. 2004 minifigure Lego Vader with light up light saber. (Not my pic, mine is stored)

It does say zero beneath the signature. -
Thanks. Was wondering if I missed out on a book.

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

Wow. I'd purchase a release like this from any model and toy company. -
Anyone else think the pilot is rather tiny, like very under scaled?
-
Anyone know from which Tenjin book the box art is based from?

When reading the reviews, it appears the returns is down to expectation of the amount of metal due to the "Hi-Metal" branding, which, lets be honest, for the casual buyer that has just rekindled some Macross nostalgia, is very miss-leading.
-
This. Sometimes I wonder if just only the die-hard Gundam Metal Build community that buys multiples of each release, already out numbers the whole of the Macross Fandom that purchases valks.

Touch down in Europe. Shipped last Friday by Amazon Japan, and arrived today. No custom fees. Delivery DHL Express.

Yeah, same here. I went with them as Amazon Japan now ships direct to Europe and due to that deal with the EU, don't pay customs. Card charged today.

This is my point, in that since they have such technology for such outfits, it means medical science is on a whole other level which will allow a 70 year old man to fly such machines. But as you also pointed out, considering Grace's existence, we shouldn't be surprised if Max returns to the cockpit when he's 90 years old and probably looking younger. Yeah, it would be interesting to see again general civilian life post Frontier, but doubt it would be much different to the glimpses of Frontier. -
I know, it's so weird. It's like why not show the actual artwork the sculpt is based off?

All 3 definite buys, likely x2 for the 1A with Ghost. SV-51 needs to be the green fodder as first release or Ivanov's as first releases... but knowing Bandai, it's gonna be Nora's... (Just not a fan of her colour). If the 0S is being released with the armour, I'm wanting them to do it in a slightly toned down grey instead of that bright white. Like the VF-4.

Again, this thing with companies where the popular non-hero versions are released in quantities of droplets.

Thanks. Yeah, I see some items there that are sitting on mind. Gonna try them. Thanks

Why is the game excluding from China? Or they mean just the worldwide release date doesn't include China?
