Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Big s replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Supposedly Fleabag takes the hat. They were planning a series around her. From other things I’ve heard is that Mutt got killed offscreen after getting drafted. He didn’t really seem interested in another franchise character and has pretty much talked crap about his character in Indy. He likes doing hit and mostly miss art film type characters more these days, but maybe he’ll need some cash and come back somehow. The one thing I know for sure is this is the first Indy movie that I just don’t feel excited for. There’s gotta be some really great word of mouth for me to care enough not to wait for it’s release on D+- 355 replies

I know they had the Tomahawk and Phalanx at hobbysearch earlier this week, you could check there. I’d love to see a spartan, but I’m sort of hoping max factory gets that one. Since Hasegawa, Wave and Max Factory are all doing 1/72 classic Macross I personally think Max factory would be the best choice for a Spartan in 1/72 that not only would look like the anime but also have good articulation. I appreciate Hasegawa for their recent Regults, but they do feel a little awkward stability wise and they definitely leave areas where more work is necessary like drilling holes and scribing panel lines that were so shallow that they sometimes don’t exist near the edge of parts. Wave focused really well in the looks department, but the knees could easily have been designed for better bends on their three destroids. I was thinking that I don’t remember seeing plans for the Spartan from wave back in the day, but I do remember a 1/100 Monster that looked like it would have been pretty great in the looks department. I think the weight may have been an issue for the polycaps, but many kit companies have found great ways to have tougher joints for kits since then.

I’ve been rewatching both Futurama and Venture Bros. So glad both shows are coming back. It’s weird that these two old shows are so much more entertaining than anything new these days

Looks like it’s really coming along.

As long as it’s not marketed as an official product, I’m ok with emulating games after a time, especially if they’re un available.

I might have to check it out. Reminds me of AI crossed with blade runner and some Terminator for a bit of spice

I saw futureman and had a lot of fun with that one. I didn’t realize he was the guy in hunger games

judging by pictures it looks like the pro modeler for the package just did it as a sub assembly, painted them and then put the wings and everything together. There’s a seam showing at the sides in fron of the wings that I don’t know if it’s ugly or not. But I think they just did a lazy method. I can’t decide if it’s something that would bug me or not. I’ll probably do a test fit to see how it looks and maybe decide after checking out the battroid images to see if it’s a consistent seam there

I was just about to say that I’ve already seen a version with Nick Cage. Crazy Nick Cage is best Nick Cage

Even now the company still sounds like they consider it a success. I guess they didn’t expect much out of it to begin with. Maybe there is a future for the franchise in show form rather than movie, or they may just green light a sequel anyway

That’s the 1/72 one right? I preordered the version that comes with decals and just curious about your thoughts on this kit. It looks a lot simpler than the hasegawa, but also appears to be more anime detailed rather than real world detailed like the hasegawa version. It’s looking good so far
-
Are you a kit collector? Just curious since some of those are a bit specific on box colors. The 1/72 tomahawk is one I’ve only seen pictures of. I’ve built the imai 1/100 one, but that was a Bandai reprint.

I had seen quite a few ska bands in the day, not by choice and the suit thing was pretty common. It was almost like when grunge was big and everyone in the heat of SoCal were trying to look like Seattle folk by wearing long undies under shorts and tee shirts. ska got really big for like one or two years somewhere in the 90’s and most of the girls I dated were into the scene for some reason I kinda get the feeling that the hangers on to the ska thing ended up treating the suit thing as an insult in a similar way the grungies started hating the long indie flannel thing or a lot of Black Metal bands from the old days kinda laugh at bands that still did corpse paint for a while

It’s Disney, so it could always be worse

I remember this band back in high school. They really didn’t last long, the pop ska think was kinda short lived. Lots of dark business suits and horns and then poof

Pretty good week for Ghost. Papa III action figure up for preorder a new song popped up yesterday, a cover of Iron Maiden’s Phantom of the Opera and if I’m not mistaken a covers ep coming out this week

I kinda felt the Dreamcast was a bit ahead of its time in some regards

Thanks for the tips. You would think if it’s a known problem that it would have been taken care of already

Are the diy options hard to install? I’m really not to familiar at all with the switch, but it’s the portability thing that has me interested in getting one. My job has me working with a lot of dead time. I had the issue on a controller for ps4 a while back, but it was just one of three that I had. I would just use the other two.

That’s one that I wasn’t expecting. I’m still waiting for Hanzo or Galford. Also forgetting the name of the creepy guy with the claw

I’d highly suggest Snake Eyes since there really hasn’t been a figure that looked like it came from the og cartoon. Honestly I like the bad guys as well and these look good even if you leave ‘em in the box.
